This hotel was allocated to us as part of the Turkish Airlines Istanbul Stopover free accommodation program, which is a great idea. We extended one more night at a very reasonable cost. Good location within a pleasant 5 - 10 mins walk of the Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet and the Çemberlıtaş Tram stop that connects to Galata, Eminonu etc. Breakfast was good. The room was reasonably well renovated although the building seems on the aged side.

The uphill walk to the attractions was fine for us, especially as it was winter, but may be a problem for some folks.

We did get a room with sea view, which is what made the stay for the hotel. Most of the staff specifically the dining staff and concierge were super helpful. The hotel was clean house keeping and seemed like they really enjoyed working at the hotel. The location is amazing and close to the tram and attractions. Breakfast was nice.

Unfortunately, the health room and Hammam were under construction during our stay but many others close to the hotels and would recommend getting one! I think the hotel could do with an update but does have the old world charm. Breakfast could have a bit more variety.

My family and I were really enjoying staying in this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We especially liked the breakfast: food was tasty, different options and a good time range 7 -10 a.m. There's also a restaurant/bar on the top of the building with an amazing view. The food was good and also the time range 1-10 p.m., bar till 2 a.m. The room was clean, housekeeping did a great job 👍🏼, on the reception guys were super helpful! They helped us to book a boat tour, gave us some advice, we asked them about transfer from/to airport. There's a Starbucks on the first floor inside the hotel. We had time before going to the airport and we were already tired of going anywhere so we spent time around the coffee shop, it was perfect time with small kids. So, I can and I will recommend this hotel to my friends for sure! Thank you guys! I hope we will be back!

I think everything was amazing!

We loved our stay at the Grand Yavuz. There was some minor initial communication delay, but once we landed in Instanbul, everything went smoothly and like clockwork. From the initial shuttle pickup from the airport, to the splendid evening dinner cruise, to the shuttle return to the airport, it was all great. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and we are especially grateful to Manager Tuna Cansever for the terrific room upgrade. Those views were beautiful at all hours of the day! The breakfast buffet was diverse and certainly catered for our tastes and appetites.

A double size doona on a king-size bed was quickly and easily changed to two single doonas.

Slippery showers with no safety bars are the most dangerous part of travelling for disabled guests. We were offered a room with an accessible shower (ask if you need it), but it had only one double bed, and we needed two singles. So we opted for a different room. The shower was slippery, but small enough to provide some support (by leaning on the wall). There is a restaurant on the top floor, with views to the Marmara Sea. Empty when we went there, and maybe little used because on the street every second shop is a restaurant, and many of them also have view terraces. 10 to 15 minute walk to Istanbul's top attractions - Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi, and (in a different direction) Grand Bazaar. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Grand Yavuz participates in the Turkish Airlines stopover program. We received 2 free nights from the airline, and paid ourselves for a 3rd night. This is a great incentive for tourists to stay (or stay longer) in Istanbul, which benefits local businesses.

Breakfast buffet, while adequate, was rather uninspired and tasteless. No egg station; eggs were either hard boiled or scrambled. Salt, pepper but no other condiments. Limited salad options (tomato, cucumber, olives) with no dressings. Whole apples and tangerines, dried Turkish apricots (excellent), but no other fresh fruits. Sliced wieners but no bacon or sausage (since Turkey is a Muslim country). Room also adequate, but small. Mere sliver of a desk; no chair (just footstool). No luggage stand - that would be an easy addition that would make the room more functional. Room was not cleaned on our second day, despite posted request on door. Did the cleaner not like us??

Location was very good. Buffet breakfast was included. Additionally there were many restaurants in the neighborhood. It was easy to go to the principal tourist attractions by foot from the hotel. It is also very close to the T1 tram. We felt safe arriving even by night. Personnel was very helpful and gave us good indications and help when needed. We had room with balcony and the view was super. The building looks old from outside, but is clean and correct inside.

The elevators are too small and can be difficult for people with reduced mobility to fit in. We arrived early to take breakfast and some of the food was still cold.

The building is quite pretty and stylish, the staff friendly and the location top. Most of the attractions are within walking distance. You can access Hammam, sauna and jacuzzi for 10€ per person as the basic package. You can also access massage and other treatments for an extra. It also has a nice roof top restaurant with fair price and excellent view of the city

Level of cleaning was an issue. While the common areas were top clean, the rooms not so much. The bathroom was dirty in the corners, the toilet not properly clean. The windows were regular so all the noise of the street could be heard. My last disappointment regards the breakfast. Quite simple, not really tasty nor fresh.

Everything was good...intact if it wasn't for 1 staff at reception spoiled the mood ...

1 of the staff at the reception was very rude...I also asked the staff on 3 occasions to make me a packed lunch in the end It was not forthcoming...all the rest of the staff was great especially okay was very helpful...I would still like to thank to the rest of the staff...

We booked an extra night since the first 2 nights were complimentary due to Turkish Airlines stopover program. Location is walkable to many restaurants and all the sights for a first timer to Istanbul. Comfortable stay, enough space for the 3 of us in the triple room, wonderful staff, and great buffet choices for breakfast. We also did the private guided tour through the hotel with Murat and it was wonderful as well, showed us around from 8.30 until 18.00.
