Perfect location within walking distance of many attractions. On a quiet pedestrianised street with lots of restaurant choices. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Ali and Halil on reception. Freshly made omelets and sweet, juicy melon for breakfast were much appreciated.

It is described as an Ottoman style hotel and when we booked there were pictures of plush interiors with ornate furniture and fabrics. However, the recent refurbishment (and current photos) show a bland and boring decor that you could find in any mid range hotel anywhere in the world. What a shame. Plus, they really should have proper juice at breakfast and not the "coloured water" on offer.

Central to many main attractions, plenty of action going on restaurant , walking distance to everything blue mosque, castle, train ferries spice bazaar, etc

Was advised two days before arriving we would be at another hotel as sapphire was being renovated and payment was taken from our card when we did not want it to be. Disappointed but maywood was okay for what time we were there.

The location was amazing, so close to everything even the taxi driver praised the location. Breakfast was good, could do with other different options. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even gifted us a box of Turkish delights before we left which warmed our hearts. Rooms had robes and slippers which was also handy and beds were super comfy and clean.

I liked the location. Sapphire hotel was under renovation, and they informed me that ahead of time. They placed us in Maywood which is a sister hotel. The Saty was lovely and room were super clean.

Breakfast was the same throughout the stay. Would appreciate a little variety every day. But staff were great.

Friendly staff, nice clean room, comfortable bathroom with tasty smelled shower gel and shampoo. Hotel in the city centre, to Hagia Sophia 7 min walking, to the sea also 7-10 min. A lot of cafe and restaurant around which is working until midnight. Quite good breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and fresh eggs to cooked to order.

The swimming pool isn't built yet- they signpost you to a neighbouring hotel.

Everything you might need or want to explore is within easy reach, making it a perfect base for travelers. Whether it's tourist attractions, restaurants, or shopping, you'll find it all just a stone's throw away. The staff at the hotel deserves a standing ovation. From the moment I arrived to the time I checked out, they were consistently friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my stay. The only drawback during my stay was the size of the room. It was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, which might not be ideal for those who prefer more spacious accommodations. However, if you're planning to spend most of your time exploring the area and only need the room for sleeping, it should suffice. .The pool is nice and clean The morning meal at the hotel was decent but not exceptional. While there was a variety of options, the quality of the fruits left something to be desired.

Even though we booked Hotel Sapphire, this review is for Hotel Maywood where our reservation was transferred due to the municipality closing down Hotel Sapphire. This is what we were told. We accepted the transfer and we were happy with the hotel. It is very well located on a pedestrian street in the historical centre. We walked to Topkapi, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, also to Cistern Basilica. The Grand Bazar is within walking distance too. Our rooms were in the new wing. The beds were very comfortable with nice clean bed linen. The room was very clean. We liked the big bathroom and big shower area. The breakfast was varied, with a lot of local tasty dishes. Not great choice of fruit, but there were some apples and oranges or grapefruit. It was nice that they had someone who made omelettes on the spot. Since they do not eat pork, the choice of ham was weird looking, I haven't tried it. We especially liked the staff. They were always smiling and chatting with us at the reception, they gave us maps and helpful tips. A big thank you to them! Extra tip. If you go to Istanbul, please visit the Asian side too. We liked it a lot, it is cheaper, nicer and so vibrant. Loved the terraces and restaurants there.

The only negative thing is that the coffee was instant, but the tea was very good.

It was better than expected, location is perfect - the street is beautiful and I didn’t wish to be located anywhere else. Everything was close from here. Staff were very kind, room was cleaned everyday and we got everything we needed. They were very kind to us and our baby. Loved the egg station for breakfast - it’s not too big and mostly same every day but had everything needed. Will for sure come back again to this hotel.

Walls are little bit thin, we had some noisy neighbours bit that’s alright as well, cant expect 100% soundproof space 😊

At first we were about to stay at the hotel Sapphire but we were transferred to the Maywood hotel (of the same owner) The Maywood hotel was great, we loved it! It was clean and cozy. Breakfast was included in the price and it was a good breakfast. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. I got sick while staying there and they helped me with finding the ride to the hospital. The location is great as well and everything we wanted to visit was 15-30 minutes by foot. We even got a goodbye gift from the staff and we loved it :) I would definitely book this hotel again!

The only downside is that the room we were in was looking at some ventilation (not sure what it is) so it was really noisy when we open the window but to be honest everything else was perfect that this couldnt ruin my stay
