This smaller, family-style hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The Sultanahmet tram stop is also nearby. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities in the area. The street is quiet, peaceful, and the neighborhood feels safe. The room was small but adequate for two person. The bathroom was in good condition and fairly modern. There was a very pleasant scent both in the room and throughout the hotel. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel both upon arrival and before our departure. We were satisfied with the breakfast as well. Wide variety and tasty flavors. However, there are no alternative options for guests who eat gluten- and dairy-free (no gluten-free bread or rice cakes, and no plant-based milk alternatives were available). Despite this, we were still able to find enough to eat every day. The selection included scrambled and boiled eggs, cold cuts, various cheeses, spreads (like ajvar, pepper cream, olive cream and yogurt-based dips), vegetables, olives, different types of bread, and many sweet pastries. There were also apples, oats, cornflakes, jams, honey, boxed fruit juices, cow’s milk, and coffee.

The look of the room, the breakfast, the bed and the location.

Items in the room are old and need reparation ( shower door, shower itself, table in the room). For a 5 days stay it would be nice to have the room cleaned at least once.

Great location. Very easy to get around to main tourist sites. For example; Blue Mosque was three minutes walk. Shops, transport all very conveniently accessible. Had a great placement of room in the hotel. Access to terrace. Great view. Clean. Affordable. Good breakfast and loads of rounds of tea!!! Very helpful staff. Helped and assisted my daughter when she was feeling unwell. Bought medicine and herbal tea for her to settle down. Female staff understood the sensitivity and were an absolute blessing. The hotel allowed me to have meetings with some associates that happened to be in the region. Served us all tea and baklava. I got my work done with ease. Other more expensive hotels nearby didn’t allow this option. All round hotel; great for couples, individuals and family. Kaan & Mahir assisted with many other things outside the scoop of the holiday. I’m still in touch with them following up on other opportunities. The catering and house keeping staff staff Melike, Elver and Clara (photo) totally understood how challenging being a single parent and managing teenage children with their timings for breakfast were. Bless them, they stuck around and treated us like family, making fresh breakfast way past their shift. They totally understood the importance of supporting us. Even recommended specific places for the children to meet their needs. To the extent of arranging us to meet their family members for assistance outside of the area to meet my daughters specific needs. They wanted nothing in return. Amazing warmth and care. This I will never forget. The appreciated core family values. I have Much respect for them all.

Amazing location. Literally five minutes walk from either Aya Sofia or SultanAhmet Blue Mosque. Very patient and attentive staff. We found the layout of our first room a bit awkward so we asked to be moved. We were quickly moved to a ground floor room facing the rear (beside the lift) - which was a bonus because there was a family of beautiful cats living in the courtyard immediately outside the window, which my wife very quickly adopted. I assume you’re probably on this already, but could we please ask the management to make sure the cats are fed and watered as Mama (black and white cat) has kittens hidden that she’s nursing.

Only real constructive feedback is that the outside seats!tables in the otherwise great breakfast terrace get covered in bird poo which is a bit unappetising. I completely appreciate that it is difficult to stay on this given the outside environment however!

Good breakfast, views from breakfast terrace were amazing. Hotel located between the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia - both seen from 5th and 6th floor terrace windows; easy walk to lots of tourist attractions, staff friendly and helpful, ability to store luggage at reception day of departure, free wifi,fridge in room. Sympathetic staff helped relocate second guest to another hotel nearby as we no longer wished to share a room and the Nayla Palace Hotel was booked out. With a change of my plans I was able to stay for 6 nights in total. Staff helped as much as they could with translator app on mobile. If easy access to attractions is your priority, rather than glitz and glamour, Nayla fits the bill. Good weather and of average fitness I was even able to walk from the hotel to the Galata Tower and Taksim Square!

Rooms had too much unnecessary furniture making it hard to unpack..... hardly any useful storage space in a very small room. tv in my room did not work at all but there were no English channels available anyway. Given only one swipe card for the room - made it impossible to twin share with a non partner. Note the evening restaurant serving dinner on the top floor is not run by the Nayla Palace Hotel and though food was just OK, high prices were ridiculously excessive. I recommend the Palatium Shisha Cafe and Restaurant on the opposite side of Kutlugin Sk street to Nayla Palace Hotel as better value and atmosphere.

Room was very very clean and new, cleaning was done every single day with towels change, everything worked from tv, AC, shower to toilet. The size is the same as all standard rooms in the area, maybe even more. Might seem small because of some nice, but useless pieces of furniture, lile the armchair. The staff was very polite and helpful, they helped us with a room at a higher level, as we requested and the persons handling breakfast were very nice, positive, smiling. Breakfast is plenty and diverse without a doubt, there is constant refill, even for late risers. The view from the terrace where breakfast is served is amazing, more beautiful than the photos. I highly recommend this place, is on a quiet street, with little traffic, the car is parked laterally on the street next to the entrance of the hotel, but safe.

Excellent Location and Outstanding Service. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, and the front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and always available to assist. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Our stay included a delicious breakfast buffet each morning, which was a great start to the day. We also appreciated the convenience of being able to book city excursions directly through the hotel. Although our stay was short, we truly enjoyed it and look forward to returning in the future.

This hotel was nice and had a unique feel (not a standard modern hotel room) due to the decor. The location was excellent if you want to stay in the historic/touristic part of the city but not deal with noise; it was very quiet at night on the back street. Breakfast area is on the roof providing great views of the river and downtown Istanbul at sunrise :) Easy walk from the closest metro/tram station.

As mentioned in many reviews, the rooms are indeed on the small side. Did not bother me personally & traveling alone, but for some people/groups it might be a concern as there is not much extra room.

We’ve been to Istanbul a few times. The only constructive feedback would be that the breakfast wasn’t as good or as varied as we’ve had at other local hotels but it certainly wasn’t ‘bad’. Not a big thing but other hotels give you a choice of how you like your eggs (fried, omelettes etc) but here it’s boiled or scrambled only. It isn’t enough to put us off staying here again and we definitely would come back here

Nayla Palace is a charming small hotel in Old Town on a quiet street. The location is perfect. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of food on an upper floor with a beautiful view. Helpful staff. I'm glad that I arranged airport transfers both ways though the hotel.

No complains, just a few things that might matter to some travelers: A standard twin room is very small, but it is expected in old town. The view from the room is not appealing but covered nicely with thick sheer curtains. Beds are too firm for more than a couple night's stay.
