I did not realize there was no air condition and there was no rooftop dining or area to sit as portrayed. I also did not like the pushiness of one of the hotel staff about booking tours. we were not interested and expressed we were not interested but it continued for our entire stay

Together with my husband, we stayed at Uyan at the end of August 2023. It was awesome! Our criteria for choosing a hotel was central location, closeness to the Sea and tourists’ attractions, convenience to travel to / from both airports, since we arrived at the New Istanbul Airport, but flew away from Sabiha. On arrival to the hotel, we’ve got a free room upgrade! Instead of prepaid deluxe we were provided with a higher category room, which has semicircle panorama view; Jacuzzi in the bathroom; cute open balcony looking at a nice quit street. Amazingly, being at the city centre, the street was cars-free and quiet, and the air feels fresh since the Sea is very close. Restaurant at the third floor has the Sea view, and from there you can go to the roof where you see the Aya Sofia and the amazing Sultanahmet Mosque as close as literary the next door neighbour building! At the opposite side, there was the Sea very close, and the roof itself, as well as roofs of other buildings around looked pretty much like ships’ upper decks, this impression was supported by spectacular seagulls flying around! We liked the hotel very much, and decided to remember it and come back one day. Location, location, location! Friendly and helpful staff, water, help with travel and ordering taxi, good conditioner, great sleep! ( even though normally I’m not sleeping well at new places). Recommend it! Tatiana

The property was really clean & we had a balcony view room which was 👌 Bonus - property had a lift 👏👏👏 as lots of hotels don't have lifts Staff themselves really nice & friendly (except manager - a bit grumpy) Location 4 mins from Hagia Sophia Excellent location in the heart of the city👌

Wi-fi didn't work for me, kept knocking off so i had to buy a sim Mattress was not comfy, quite hard All staff really nice, manager (nice guy but grumpy at times) but kept asking us to book tours / taxis via the hotel - as we had booked a tour from outside and our driver was late, we asked the manager to ring and enquire to find out, manager said im not taking responsibility for any tours not booked through us, we simply wanted him to phone and find out how long the driver would be - in the end i phoned Manolya Tours and with the help of another staff member we sorted it out

I liked the staff. They were very calm and kind, peaceful. My room was cleaned and the linens/towels replaced daily. Everything was very clean in my room. My *small single* room was very cozy. The bed was right by the window and it was very pleasant to sleep in. The shower was good. The street was quiet and empty at night. It was a clean and pleasant part of town. The location was very convenient for sightseeing as well as for getting all around Istanbul. The tram station (metro) was a 5 minute walk (past the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia). And this metro got me quickly to the Bosphorus ferries or the Marmaray line, which made travel around the ginormous city as convenient as possible. The neighborhood had several fancier hotels in it, so I could go enjoy different terrace breakfasts for an overall great value.

I think the hotel is due for some minor updates in terms of painting or deep cleaning. While it is not a 3-star hotel, I think it doesn't seem quite like a 4-star hotel either.Moreover, the breakfast was not as I expected in terms of selection (especially as I have dietary restrictions). I ate breakfast in nearby hotels every day instead. But that was actually quite pleasant to do. So I don't regret it. I still believe that this was the best value and place of all the possibilities I researched (especially as I sawa some of the other hotels I might have chosen). And I do not regret the decision to stay here at all. It was, in fact, the perfect place for me, considering all factors combined.

The room we’ve got was spacious and we had two beds. Everything was clean and the bathroom was great. the location is superb. can’t get better. after this hotel we moved to another one in a different area. we regretted that! we should have stayed longer there. but now I know where to stay when I come back to Istanbul. and I will.

The check in was a bit stressful because there was only one man organizing it all. He was friendly but stressed out because people were leaving, others arriving and everyone wanted the his attention asking something. There was a blond girl at the reception that the only thing she spoke in English was: “I am not the receptionist, wait” then she was calling the poor man that was working alone and trying to help all the guests by his own. but apart of it we had a great time.

Location - fantastic, just couple of minutes walk to all important historical sites. Breakfast - enough choice of cheese, sausages, eggs, tomatoes and cucumbers and seasonal fruits like water melon with an option to eat at the terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque. Room - simple but with all you need and very clean, bed very comfortable Elevator in the hotel Nice and stylish descent hotel Service - very friendly and helpful people taking care of guests comfort

Uyan Hotel is very close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. It's convenient for a family with toddlers to the nearest tourist places on a walk. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good but with decent options.

The only problem is wheelchair or in our case stroller access on the entrance. There is no lift, only stairs. Although sometimes the staff is helping us, but I hope a wheelchair can be added to improve the accessibility.

Location amazing, can walk to all the main sights, and surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Staff were very friendly and helped with advice every day. Deluxe room whilst a bit outdated was very spacious.

It was very noisy late into the night due to families with young children staying in adjacent rooms allowing their children to play late into the night, sometimes until 2am with no regard for other guests. This happened almost every night of our 7 night stay and really affected our sleep. The breakfast was very basic.

The hotel is in a very central zone of Istanbul. Every attraction was reachable by foot and the staff inside was very kind and ready to help in every occasion possible. They also upgraded our room which was a very very appreciated thing. Cleaned with attention, inside had a air conditioning system which was live saving, a little terrace from which we were able to see the sea and also a little fridge with a table were we eat dinner sometime. We had the best experience and I couldn’t recommend this place more!

We were at Hotel Uan during 03-07 June 2023. The location of the hotel is perfect, all famous and popular historical places are near the hotel. It was the surprise for us when we saw the price for living at this hotel, even it’s location in the center of historic places like Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia mosque the price was very democratic in comparison with our hotels in this location. I would like to express special thanks to the hotel staff for their friendliness, responsiveness and customer focus and hospitality, everything was perfect.

we liked everything except breakfast. It will be better to make it more variable at the same price.
