The shared room with the bunkers bed of 4 was very nice. Good value of Money. Really recommended. It has a great site view and sitting area all famous places are approachable at walking distance. Don't not by any thing from the airport. Take Havist bus # D12 from airport to Aksary station it's the last stop of the bus service. Walking 1 minutes you can find the T1 station to travel sultanahmet or take a taxi which will be around 50-60 lira. Make sure you have translator service from Google Turks struggling with English language speaking. Negotiation is mandatory if you are interested buying something and be aware of scammers in the city. Ask police for help if needed. Buying a metro card from sultanahmet station machine is recommended as it's at the price of 100 lira and airport guys will charge 500 for the same card with 10 free rides only. They charge security deposit to have 🔐 but it's safe to have your own lock to put on the items you store.

Location within the budget price is fairly justified. The only thing that was not comfortable was the head space for the top bed on the bunkers. You can't sit straight up as the head strikes the roof cleaning. They don't provide towels. One must bring your own.

I have been staying at this hostel every year for the last 3 years. Dorm room on the top floor with an incredible view. The view and atmosphere on the terrace is picturesque. You can see the whole Golden Horn Bay and the windows are facing the south. The room is very sunny. Breakfast is Turkish, always some greens, egg, olives, sigara borrek. The hostel is 5 minutes walk from the main attractions of Sultanahmet, and at the same time it is very quiet at night.

Unfortunately the service is not improving and some amenities are gone. There was no hook to hang things in the bathroom. I had to put them somewhere. There were holes in the bed linen. The curtain on the bed was torn. There were two guys at the reception. One was always smiling and had no problem paying with a card(which was good). The other never smiled, the communication was formal, and only accepted cash.

I recently stayed at Antique Hostel in Istanbul and had a wonderful experience. As someone who is always concerned about bed bugs in hostels, I was relieved to read the positive reviews about cleanliness and hygiene at Antique Hostel. Upon booking, I reached out to the staff to request a lower bed due to my fear of heights, and they were incredibly accommodating and assigned me a suitable bed. The location of the hostel is perfect, as it is conveniently situated near all the main attractions and there is easy access to public transportation. This made exploring Istanbul a breeze. I never had to worry about getting around the city. While there are a few areas for improvement, I hope the management takes these suggestions constructively. The Wi-Fi connection sometimes experienced interruptions and became slow, so it would be great if the management could work on improving the stability and speed of the internet. Additionally, it would be helpful if they provided towels, even if it came at an extra charge. Having this option would save travelers the hassle of carrying their own towels. One aspect that impressed me was the breakfast provided at the hostel. Considering the price, the breakfast was excellent. It offered a good variety of options and ensured that guests started their day with a satisfying meal. Lastly, I would like to address fellow hostel guests. It is important to follow the rules of the hostel and respect the privacy of others. I encountered an unpleasant incident where someone knocked on the bathroom door while I was inside and then turned off the light. This kind of behavior is disrespectful and ruins the experience for everyone. If you need a private toilet, it is better to book a full room instead of a shared one. Overall, I highly recommend Antique Hostel for its friendly and accommodating staff, convenient location, and good value for money. With a few improvements, such as the Wi-Fi and towel availability,

The hostel was amazing for my short stay in Istanbul. It is very clean, bathrooms are spacious and functioning, the room had a conditioner which made my sleep easy, and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast included in the price was the best breakfast I ever had in a hostel, incl. paid ones. The location is superb and easily accessible from both airports. People working at the hostel are very nice and responsive to what you might need. There's a beautiful roof terrace and a water dispenser at the top floor.

Nothing, totally recommended, very good value for their price

Accommodations were pretty basic yet it worked for me since I spent most of my time out and about. Close to the attractions In Sultanahmet. What blew me away was when the maid thought that I had forgotten 300 liras, when in fact I had left that as a tip. She was so appreciative and truly made my day.

I had a private room. Water pressure in the shower was great but the shower stall was small and some individuals may be a bit tight to get in, I did not. The hair dryer wasn’t working, which I didn’t need.

Within sultanahmet area so literally few steps away from everything! I loved my room it feels fancy and underrated! Even my friend who was in a VC with me said it looked fancy! I was amazed by how fluent with english the young guy receptionist was, he was on a day shift. The old receptionist guy from night shift even surprised me with a sparkler and a mini cupcake when I went home after partying and i told him I had a good night because it was my birthday! Lovely guy! ❤️

I stayed for 3 nights and nobody bothered to give me clean towels, I had to keep on messaging them and disturb on the front desk to ask for some. One receptionist kinda mistook me for asking for some extras and he kept on telling me I needed to pay for it, he finally gave me one for free when I insisted Im not asking for extra but it seems fair for me to ask for clean towels as it is 4days3N stay and I never got any replacement. I also had to insist i needed cleaning in my room and he told me off that they do cleaning on a daily basis it’s impossible i never had one, I said you can check my room (as my bin is full and I even had two more bags of trash piled up) or the CCTV to prove my claim that I never had one.

Great location and value! You can't find a better spot in Istanbul. The terrace is spectacular and is a great place to enjoy the view. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms were kept clean. I would definitely come again.

There aren't keys to the individual rooms and the front door is always open. There is always someone by the front desk, but I think it would be nicer if the rooms had keys. But overall the place is very safe and you can easily lock up your things!

Strategic location ,nice breakfast and the staff very helpful

Great location to be able to walk around Sultanahmet and a quick and easy tram ride to get across to Karakoy. I enjoyed the plated up breakfast each morning. Staff were helpful in organising taxi and recommendations. I'd stay again. The Aircon worked well the one night I used it.

The sheets were quite worn and weirdly no body soap was provided (but plenty of shampoo was provided). My room faced the road so it was noisy but with earplugs in, it didn't bother me.

I stayed in this hostel for 3 days, and it was above and beyond my expectations. The washrooms are clean, and the rooms are both clean and affordable. The reception staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful in every way, whether it's with inquiries or lifting my heavy luggage. The terrace has a beautiful river view, and the breakfast is great—filling and tasty. It’s the cherry on the cake. The location is amazing, close to stores, the entire market, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and everything else you might want to visit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay at affordable prices. Additionally, they are flexible with time. My flight got delayed, and they offered me to stay as long as I needed on the terrace, making it feel like home.
