After a recommendation from a friend, we decided to stay 9 nights at The Magnaura Palace Hotel to explore Istanbul and it was truly amazing. We had breakfast each day with the stunning views of the Hagia Sophia, the Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque, and the Marmara Sea. The location was excellent for sightseeing in historic Istanbul, within 5-6 minutes we could walk to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Hippodrome, etc. This enabled us to go sightseeing directly after breakfast without having to wait in long lines. We were a bigger group (7 people) and it was super helpful to use the hotel cab for trips throughout Istanbul and beyond (their cab is also much cheaper to get from and to the airport). The hotel staff were always super friendly and Aydin and Mehmet were extremely helpful in organizing our daily trips throughout the whole stay.

Me and my wife made holiday this year in "Istanbul" it was September 2 to 6 ,we stayed 4 day in The Magnaura Palace Hotel,Suntanahmet its just near the main center ,i have booked double deluxe room at the point of check in the had upgraded my room to sea view.....it was so nice view from my room view....my wife was so impressed with the behaviour and friendly ness of manager and owner by himself ..i did not found any fault everyday they cleaned our room when we went out all cleaned organised they provided complementary hot drinks water everyday and one of the most important thing the basic Turkish breakfast is included in the booked price so at morning we made good breakfast everyday and enjoyed the sea view from the roof top and last day there was an emergency power issue in whole town was blackout for 6 hour but the hotel has a generator and it's very strong even we did not turned off out Ac in the room and WIFI was amazing …..if i go again next time we will stay again the hotel …. one off the suggestion for new traveler or first time traveller please stay any place like this it's walking distances near every where so that you can explore more and hassle free we spoke one off the friend's with there whole family on vacation Istanbul they choose 2KM away from center those place are cheap accommodation and cheap food but they said everyday they paid extra money in transport because of kids and public transport is not easy for family traveller ...so they said we had made best decision to stayed in near center of main attraction the there is good recommendation for couple and new traveller .

Nothing to complain all good

The hotel's location is ideal, being only 2 minutes away from Istanbul's main attractions and in close proximity to numerous restaurants, a bazaar, and the metro station. We had a sea view room, clean and comfy. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable.

We specifically selected this hotel for its terrace with a beautiful view. However, upon our arrival, we were told that the terrace was undergoing renovations. As a result, we had to have breakfast at the hotel across the street. While the alternative was pleasant, we were a bit disappointed. We hope that future guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful view from the terrace once the renovations are complete.

Very impressed from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Beautiful hotel furnished and cleaned to very high standards. Loved the stained glass reception entrance doors. Stunning views from the restaurant on top two floors. All staff are friendly and very keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Room 306 with a balcony had great views of the Bosphorus, it was large, always clean, and easy to keep cool. The private transfer taxis were large and comfortable and on time with pleasant mannered drivers. Good to see a bin for recycling in the room. Breakfasts and evening meal were excellent with an extensive food choice. Cold drinks were always refreshing and ideally cold. Proximity to various attractions and shops in Sultanamet and Faith areas made it a perfect location. Aydin is a very helpful Manager who recommended a very good private tour guide. Housekeeping Ladies decorated our bed beautifully for our anniversary, a delightful and emotional surprise.

We have been to Istanbul several times. This is the first stay at Magnaura Palace. They were wonderfully welcoming and arranged car service for us. They always greeted us when we returned and were genuinely interested in the fact that we were enjoying ourselves. The ladies who cleaned the room, yes, the ones who are usually invisible, were remarkably friendly. We came back one day to a bed decorated with flowers. The location is perfect. It is steps away from thousands of years of history but just far enough away, a block or two, so the crowding that can be Istanbul seems far away. The view of the water was great. The seagulls chattered away and the Hagia Sofia was out the window at breakfast. It's a wonderful place. See view from room.

I wouldn't change anything. I hope it DOESN'T change and become part of a big corporate chain.

The room was well appointed and comfortable. Great breakfast and fantastic location. Staff were very knowledgeable and happy to help. The staff’s suggestions really made the most of our short time in Istanbul. Views from breakfast are amazing.

Additionally, the hotel’s concierge service was incredibly helpful, providing us with personalised recommendations for dining and sightseeing. They arranged transportation and even guided us to some hidden gems that we would have missed otherwise. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience during our stay in Istanbul. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and conveniently located place to stay.

Leaving 😢

We have travelled to Istanbul 8 times now and always had good hotels but this one was really exceptional. The staff were so helpful ,and , although we like to explore on our own we always felt they were there for us if we needed anything. The manager Aydin was great organising taxis and always helped with any queries we had, the customer care is a high priority here. The rooms were spacious and very clean with fresh towels, water and tea/coffee each day.The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, really liked the fresh fruit , filter coffee ,cakes, biscuits,simit bread and turkish mezez, and friendly staff, but the wow factor is the roof terrace, overlooking the sea of Marmara and between the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia, at sunset it has a magical quality.It really is the perfect location. This is a great hotel for us, but would also be ideal for a first trip to Istanbul as it is close to many attractions and the staff would happily help with the many trips you can take, there really is never a dull moment in this city.

All good, but next time we would stay longer

This hotel is a gem! The location is fantastic. Walkable distance to all the famous sights seeing locations in Sultanahmet area! Five minutes to Sophia Hagia, five minutes to Blue Mosque. Also trolley station is close by, where you can go anywhere. Yet it’s very private and quiet at the hotel and around. Fantastic view everyday for breakfast. They have a beautiful terrace on the top, where they serve breakfast. The view on the Bosphorus and two mosques Blue and Sophia. Breakfast is delicious as well. The rooms are clean and nice. We had a room with a terrace with a beautiful view. Extremely friendly and helpful stuff at the hotel. They can organize transfer for you from the airport and back, help with places to visit. Aydin even gave me his Istanbul card to use in trolley while we were there. How lovely is that! I would totally recommend this boutique hotel for stay to anyone and will come back with a pleasure!
