We had our breakfast in the Green House. Breakfast was good and has many options. The place is also very nice and relaxing. Great way to start the day with good food and comfortable place!

We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Hilton did everything possible to make it special. The room was luxurious, staff were very friendly and helpful (the shuttle around the property was heaven sent during the rain!), and the Turkish breakfast in the Green House Garden Restaurant was both extensive and delicious. Easily the best location in Sultanahmet for seeing the main tourist sites.

Bring earplugs for an uninterrupted night's sleep. The proximity to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque means you will hear the call to prayer in the early morning hours.

Our room--a junior suite in the Green Mansion--was wonderful in every way. Huge, with a separate sitting room and full of light from many windows. The bathroom also huge and spectacular, like a Sultan"s :) It had beautiful tiles and Turkish ironwork lamps. All the decor was vibrant and new. It did not seem like a hotel chain but rather custom-designed luxury that felt exotic and uniquely Turkish. Top quality bed and linens, plus a very good sleep due to the quiet, car-free road. This hotel and the room itself made our stay in Istanbul special. There are other buildings but I recommend staying in the Green Mansion. The location is exceptional. Every historic sight is an easy walk. The street is peaceful, shady and pretty, it's a a world apart from the tourist crowds. Pedestrian only, but golf carts pick you up, so there's no worry about transporting luggage. They are always available. We felt so glad we chose this hotel over others that we considered nearby (The Four Seasons just around the corner, was on a street full of noise, exhaust and dust-- tons of cars idling and construction directly in front of it). The Green Mansion also has a garden w trees, flowers and a fountain-- bar and restaurant. It is the perfect respite from the heat. A special thanks to the front desk staff: Olga (I hope that is her name (?) a slim blonde young woman at the from desk) who upgraded us without our asking, and also the duty manager Sirkhan Granz. The young men who drove the carts were outstandingtoo, friendly and very helpful.

The service in the restaurant/bar is consistently slow and inept--it needs to be fixed. Every time we ate a meal or had drinks with our friends in the garden, there were service issues. One morning it took 3 requests and 30 minutes to get a menu and coffee, although there was only a couple of other guests. Seemed like plenty of staff, but they were going in circles. You have to keep flagging them down. And the morning manager (dark mustache) at the bar was full of silly excuses: for the extreme delay in getting coffee "the Expresso machine isn't on yet" at 8:30 AM?? Another time when cocktails weren't delivered "we ran out of ice, that's why the waiter hasn't brought your drinks". It is a beautiful spot and the food is decent, but management is needed.

Beautiful property perfectly located in the heart of Sultanahmet, just steps away from the main attractions. The suite was large, spacious, and tastefully decorated, offering a safe and comfortable stay. The staff were eager to help, and the reception team provided golf cart assistance to/from taxis etc. which was especially nice when arriving back at midnight from a tour in Cappodochia. The person who made the beds arranged the towels in different shapes (alligators, swans etc.) each day. Very creative. An oasis of calm amidst the bustling tourist area. We’ve stayed at many other hotels in the area over the years and there were usually problems. This one was run smoothly. Would stay there again.

Location, location! Enabled us to pop back to the hotel for a freshen up and a break. This allowed us to do very full on days sight seeing. A huge bonus in being able to enjoy the area minus tourists early morning and late evening. The staff are all truly exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. I cannot possibly name everyone involved, but all the staff who helped locate my missing prescription sunglasses, I had left them at a local restaurant. The wonderful Gurur and Emirhan who chatted whilst on buggy drives. Finally, to the wonderful Behget who so kindly shared a few of his favourite restaurants and places to visit off the tourist track. Our room was beautiful and bed exceptionally comfortable. The breakfasts were fabulous, lots of variety. Look out for the afternoon tray of Turkish delights, delicious.

Istanbul saw snowfall during our visit, making our exploration of Sultanahmet cold yet wonderfully enchanting. This historic neighborhood is home to the magnificent Ottoman-era Blue Mosque, with its elegant minarets, and the renowned Hagia Sophia, adorned with stunning mosaics. Our hotel was perfectly located for exploring these iconic landmarks, with the Grand Bazaar just a 10-15 minute walk away. The staff were delightful—polite, welcoming, and incredibly helpful—making our stay truly memorable. The concierge was fantastic, expertly arranging our Old City Tour. We were delighted to have chosen this hotel for our first visit to Istanbul.

Our stay at the Hagia Sofia Mansions, Curio Collection by Hilton, was nothing short of fantastic—truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the historic district. It’s just a two-minute walk (if that) to both the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, and all of our tours conveniently met at the Hippodrome, just a few minutes away. The hotel itself is a collection of beautifully restored mansions, and we had the pleasure of staying in the main one, the Green House. As a honeymoon treat, we were upgraded to a spacious suite free of charge, which was a wonderful surprise! The room was beautifully designed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—one of the best we’ve experienced while traveling. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the vibrant decor and the incredible fragrance of their signature atomizer (if I could have bought one for my home, I would have!). The entire property was impeccably clean, and the staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready with helpful recommendations. We highly recommend opting for the breakfast—it was an impressive spread and the perfect way to start each day. If you’re looking for a luxurious and centrally located stay in Istanbul’s Old Town, this is the place. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Charming property in a very quiet spot close to major attractions and the tram station. Restaurants and rooftops within walking distance and they’re all quality! The staff were all very helpful; Baris gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel right at home with his expertise on the city and historical insight. The staff were instrumental in finding lost items on a couple of occasions!

The main issue which we mentioned to the staff was the beeping of the golf carts when backing up at any hour of the night.

The hotels location affords you a wonderful tourist free night time, and you have the historic sites to yourself. They really do all disappear! The spa was set in an amazing space. The bedrooms were excellent and most importantly quiet despite the early morning calls to prayer. The bathrooms are a delight and beds very comfortable for sleeping in and more! You can walk to most of the main tourist attraction easily and there are numerous restaurants and good coffee shops around the area.

The restaurants were a little soulless.

The staffs were great, Nozima,Yigitcan, Mr. Aren, and etc. The location is the best! We feel so comfortable to come back to our room -- it's like our home in Istanbul. When the tourist crowd is gone at night we feel living in the old palace, or at least in the neighborhood of Sultan's house. Very special and precious experience that we will cherish for a long time.

The hotel restaurant (we tried the breakfast at Green House) is kind of over priced. When I booked the room at booking.com it indicated I can get a breakfast for one person at 12 euro but when I asked the waiter he said that price is impossible.
