Hotel was wonderful. All the staff were kind and friendly. Greeted us with kindness. They took care of anything we needed. Tours, private transfer to airport. Our room was a good size for the 3 of us. Bathroom very good size with large clean shower. Room was very clean. A/C worked great. Beds were good. The breakfast was very very good. They had a lot to choose from. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. Etc. expresso/ cappuccino machine. Tea, juices. The staff very friendly. The view from breakface terrace was amazing of the city, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Pictures do not do it justice. Very short walk to all main attractions. Hagia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and tram. Great location for 1st timers like us.

Thank you for a fantastic stay in Istanbul and this hotel. The hotel is one of the best we have ever been to and it is a credit to the staff who make the stay pleasant for the guests. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they will offer an umbrella or raincoat in the rain, organize free time, order a cab, give you a cookie or give you a gift on departure. The rooms are very clean and the hotel itself is located in a good spot and is everywhere close to the main attractions of the city. There is a restaurant on the terrace, where they serve tasty breakfasts with a beautiful view of the city. Even before our arrival, the manager of the hotel contacted us and left a bearing on himself that we could contact him directly in case of need and help. The entire hotel staff is wonderful and we especially want to single out Mr. Bayram and Mr. Gokhan and the manager Mr. Hamza. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Wonderful Stay at the Heart of Istanbul!” I recently spent a week at the Rast Hotel in Istanbul, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the main tourist attractions. Within walking distance, I could reach iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, which made exploring Istanbul incredibly convenient. One of the highlights of the Rast Hotel is definitely the rooftop cafe. The view is simply breathtaking! From up there, you get a panoramic view of Istanbul’s historic skyline, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset. Whether sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a meal in the evening, the rooftop view added something truly special to the stay. The hotel’s staff was friendly and accommodating, always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a cozy space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I’d highly recommend the Rast Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s a perfect blend of location, comfort, and charm, and I would happily stay here again on my next trip!

The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from major attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. The rooftop terrace offered a breathtaking view of Istanbul, making breakfast even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a relaxing stay. The traditional Turkish breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful options.

Everything was wonderful! The elevator is a bit small, but it was not an issue as the staff was always helpful with luggage.

Located in the heart of the old town with good connections to tram and metro and just a short walk away from basar and Galata bridge. A rich breakfast was served on the roof terrace, and tea and coffee were available throughout the day (and the staff also brought biscuits as we enjoyed the view from the terrasse with a cup of tea.) Both the staff at the reception, as well as those responsible for breakfast or room service were always very friendly.

Everything was OK. When booking, there was a generous discount on the room rate. Without this discount, the hotel would have been too expensive considering the price-to-features / room size etc. ratio.

The location is fabulous - walking distance to most of the "sights to see". The staff went above and beyond to help my husband who is in a wheelchair - as soon as we arrived at the door (there is a VERY steep step to get in/out) at least two members of staff immediately came to assist - even the manager came once. The elevator is plenty big enough to accommodate a wheelchair and two guests. The first room we were allocated was too small and they immediately and happily changed it to a slightly larger one. (if you have specific needs in this area it would be a good idea to ask/notify the staff before arrival - we were lucky they had a larger room available to accommodate us and the wheelchair). The view from the breakfast terrace is stunning both during the day and night. Everywhere was immaculately clean and housekeeping excellent. The breakfast items are beautifully displayed and refilled regularly - a couple of hot dishes every day and a comprehensive array of cold items available as well as tea, coffee (various) and chocolate - all on a self serve basis. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Istanbul.

There are no 'accessible' rooms and a very steep step up into the hotel from street level (however, as mentioned before, the staff are fabulous and nothing seems to be too much trouble).

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main tourist attractions. The view from the breakfast room is exceptional. Each morning, it was a delight to see the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bosphorus up close. The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were incredibly pleasant and always willing to help, making our stay both enjoyable and unforgettable. Special thanks to the ladies in the breakfast room, Guler and Gunes, for making each morning so delightful, and to the receptionists, Bayram and Gokhan. Their assistance and friendliness were invaluable. The breakfast was exceptional – varied and delicious. The Turkish coffee served by Guler and Gunes was a real treat, as was the care they took in preparing it.

The bathroom was somewhat small but functional. It’s something to improve, but not a dealbreaker for wanting to return to this hotel on my next visit to Istanbul.

Superb location, especially for fist timers who'd like to see what the Old Town has to offer, which is plenty, and all the major sites are within just a few minutes of walk. The bathroom a bit tight but everything worked well. Great Turkish towels. There were a few nights we didn't have enough hot water to shower, and I noticed some European hotels turn down their water heater low because they assume most guests only shower in the mornings. The cleaning lay super friendly and nice, so are the front desk staff. Like everybody else mentioned in the reviews, the view from the top floor where they serve breakfast is just breathtaking and one could access it 24/7 to the coffee and tea services. I highly recommend to go up there to enjoy the view at night as well---you will see the Bue Mosque glowing against the dark sky!

Fantastic location for all the main attractions in the Sultanahmet area. Easy to walk around. Easy check-in at reception who were also helpful in providing information, maps and details of tours. The room had 3 single beds which was perfect for 2 female travellers. We did not have a balcony or view but did not feel this was necessary given the roof terrace which has magnificent views of Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Good choice at breakfast, plenty of options to meet all dietary requirements.

The lift was a bit slow but we used the stairs. The breakfast buffet food needs labels so that guests can understand what they are eating.

This hotel was wonderful. From the location, a very short walk to everywhere, and the cute resturants all around, to the rooms that were just so comfortable and the staff that was more then excellent, I cant thank them enough for all the help they gave me, both before arriving and while we were there, everything they did was perfect. The breakfast was great and they had wonderful views on the rooftop. There is not a single thing I was not happy with and I will happily go back there every time I am in the city. Thank you everyone at the hotel for our fantastic stay, we shall see you again.
