Hotel was wonderful. All the staff were kind and friendly. Greeted us with kindness. They took care of anything we needed. Tours, private transfer to airport. Our room was a good size for the 3 of us. Bathroom very good size with large clean shower. Room was very clean. A/C worked great. Beds were good. The breakfast was very very good. They had a lot to choose from. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. Etc. expresso/ cappuccino machine. Tea, juices. The staff very friendly. The view from breakface terrace was amazing of the city, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Pictures do not do it justice. Very short walk to all main attractions. Hagia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and tram. Great location for 1st timers like us.

The location of Rast Hotel is brilliant with an exceptional view of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia from the rooftop. The hotel is just few minutes of walk away from all the attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazar). The hotel has an excellent service of pick up and drop off to the airport at reasonable cost. The communication with the hotel is easy and clear before arrival. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Gokhan Kisa. The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant is amazing with so many choices and the ladies there are very nice. Rast hotel is so generous to provide free coffee and tea at the rooftop around the clock. There are a lot of other restaurants in the vicinity for lunches and dinners.

We did not find any thing to dislike and all was good. In the old city there is a lot of traffic in general and traffic jam at some times. It is good to take advice from the hotel staff if one has to go to the airport or towards the Asian side of Istanbul.

Thank you for a fantastic stay in Istanbul and this hotel. The hotel is one of the best we have ever been to and it is a credit to the staff who make the stay pleasant for the guests. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they will offer an umbrella or raincoat in the rain, organize free time, order a cab, give you a cookie or give you a gift on departure. The rooms are very clean and the hotel itself is located in a good spot and is everywhere close to the main attractions of the city. There is a restaurant on the terrace, where they serve tasty breakfasts with a beautiful view of the city. Even before our arrival, the manager of the hotel contacted us and left a bearing on himself that we could contact him directly in case of need and help. The entire hotel staff is wonderful and we especially want to single out Mr. Bayram and Mr. Gokhan and the manager Mr. Hamza. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

The 6th floor (7th floor by US standards) terrace has an incredible view of Istanbul, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. It is stunning and you can go there 24/7. Hotel's location is also prime for sightseeing, as you are in the middle of many historical attractions and close to the tram/public transportation. Thirdly, the daily breakfast that's included in the rate had so many options and was a great way to start the day. Our twin room, while nothing to write home about, was clean and functional, but slightly small. That did not matter to us, as we were only in the room to sleep after long days of sightseeing and we had small carry-on luggage only. Overall we would stay at this hotel again because of (1) view (2) location and (3) breakfast. Staff was also always friendly and helpful. The shower also had excellent water pressure, which is always appreciated.

The wifi would often disconnect from our phones, but when it did connect it worked well.

The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from major attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. The rooftop terrace offered a breathtaking view of Istanbul, making breakfast even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a relaxing stay. The traditional Turkish breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful options.

Everything was wonderful! The elevator is a bit small, but it was not an issue as the staff was always helpful with luggage.

Location of the hotel is convienient to the Blue Mosque, also tram just runs alongside in the adjacent street.It is very easy to walk to historical areas of interest. Breakfast roof-top area is wonderfuly positioned with amazing view of the mosques,sea and the city. Our room had a little balcony, fridge, TV and airconditioning that all worked well.

Rooms are small, it does not accommodate big suitcases well at all. Our room was also facing airconditioning units from next building and if one opened the balcony door, it was very noisy. The lighting in the room is very weak, only 2 small lamps for whole room- there should be lights in the ceiling as well.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the main tourist attractions. Within walking distance, I could reach iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, which made exploring Istanbul incredibly convenient. One of the highlights of the Rast Hotel is definitely the rooftop cafe. The view is simply breathtaking! From up there, you get a panoramic view of Istanbul’s historic skyline, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset. Whether sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a meal in the evening, the rooftop view added something truly special to the stay. The hotel’s staff was friendly and accommodating, always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a cozy space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I’d highly recommend the Rast Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s a perfect blend of location, comfort, and charm, and I would happily stay here again on my next trip!

Located in the heart of the old town with good connections to tram and metro and just a short walk away from basar and Galata bridge. A rich breakfast was served on the roof terrace, and tea and coffee were available throughout the day (and the staff also brought biscuits as we enjoyed the view from the terrasse with a cup of tea.) Both the staff at the reception, as well as those responsible for breakfast or room service were always very friendly.

Everything was OK. When booking, there was a generous discount on the room rate. Without this discount, the hotel would have been too expensive considering the price-to-features / room size etc. ratio.

The location is fabulous - walking distance to most of the "sights to see". The staff went above and beyond to help my husband who is in a wheelchair - as soon as we arrived at the door (there is a VERY steep step to get in/out) at least two members of staff immediately came to assist - even the manager came once. The elevator is plenty big enough to accommodate a wheelchair and two guests. The first room we were allocated was too small and they immediately and happily changed it to a slightly larger one. (if you have specific needs in this area it would be a good idea to ask/notify the staff before arrival - we were lucky they had a larger room available to accommodate us and the wheelchair). The view from the breakfast terrace is stunning both during the day and night. Everywhere was immaculately clean and housekeeping excellent. The breakfast items are beautifully displayed and refilled regularly - a couple of hot dishes every day and a comprehensive array of cold items available as well as tea, coffee (various) and chocolate - all on a self serve basis. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Istanbul.

There are no 'accessible' rooms and a very steep step up into the hotel from street level (however, as mentioned before, the staff are fabulous and nothing seems to be too much trouble).

I have very fond memories of my stay at the Rast Hotel. The staff greeted us at the door, they were very helpful and polite. Special thanks to Mr. Jesa from the reception, who showed interesting places to visit, restaurants on the map, gave valuable comments and was very friendly. The room like the entire hotel - clean, warm and equipped with a fridge, kettle and bottles of water. Water was delivered every day, which is very rare - a very good idea, congratulations. The beds are comfortable, only you can add extra pillows because one was too few for me. Breakfast very varied with a large selection of dishes, breakfast location on the 6th floor with a terrace and a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Of course, access by elevator. The terrace can have open windows, which gives an even greater experience. At the hotel - the terrace was available all day with free coffee and tea available. The location of the hotel - a revelation: 5-7 minutes on foot to the famous mosques. Next to the hotel are the Theodosius Cistern (Serefiye Sarnici) - smaller than the Basilica Cisterns but with a beautiful laser show. I can honestly recommend Rast Hotel for a visit to Istanbul - longer or shorter.
