The location is superb with all key historic sites in Sultanhamet within maximum 10 minutes walk (and Grand Bazaar a fascinating 10min stroll through neighbouring streets). If using BusForUs Hop on Hop off, its starting point is 5mins walk away.A tram stop 150m (with ticket machines) connects you to eg Erminou for ferries across to the Asian side/Karakoy for Galata Tower, Tophane for Taksim Square and Karabatas for Dolambache Palace. Right on your doorstep is a neighbourhood filled with cafes, restaurants, shops, a fabulous bookstore and a myriad of intriguing alleyways to explore. We found the breakfast entirely adequate (don't go expecting bacon and eggs...this is Istanbul after all), the WiFi excellent, staff welcoming and keen to assist, the bedroom size very comfortable with lovely bed/linen/some of the best in room lighting we have found in our travels and a compact bathroom with a superb shower. The cleanliness of the entire property is to be applauded. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and delighted at our choice of hotel - we hope to return to Istanbul in the future and will look to book here.

We don't have a negative comment but I would advise that if you have early tour departures the breakfast is only served from 8.30am (there's a fabulous bakery around the corner, simit foodstalls (Turkish bagel) and coffee takeaways to suffice anyway). There have been comments in several posts re the "noise" from streets BUT you can't choose to stay in the midst of a neighbourhood filled with cafes (at least 8-10 right on the Hotel doorstep) and not have some music/noise from the street - after all part of the charm of Suadhan Hotel (and Sultanhamet district) is its location and the accompanying buzzy vibe

The hotel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the Sultanahmet Tram Station, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Basilica Cistern. The port is easily accessible—just a short 5–7 minute ride away by tram (3 stops). The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor that offers hotel guests a 15% discount. If your stay includes breakfast, you’ll find it both delicious and satisfying—and importantly, gluten-free options are available any time of day. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of restaurants and live music playing into the evening. However, the noise was never an issue; on the contrary, the Turkish ambiance added to the charm of our stay, making it feel even more like a true holiday experience

Our stay at Suadhan Hotel Istanbul was the best experience we could have imagined. The location is absolutely unbeatable—just steps away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, which made exploring the historic centre incredibly convenient. The staff were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, with a great variety of options that truly showcased Turkish cuisine. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be returning to Suadhan Hotel on our next trip to Istanbul. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect

Thank you for the nice stay and service at your hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk around the city and everything you need is in short range and walking distance. I would recommend to book the airport shuttle service offered from the hotel, the pick up from SAW and the drop off were well organized and the cars used are very comfortable.

The hotel is in a noisy area because of all the restaurants around, but you know this before booking. I would advise you to bring some earplugs if you're sensitive to loud music etc.

very clean hotel in the best location possible, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of old town. around the corner from hagia sofia and the blue mosque, as well as the metro station which takes you through the city very easily and cheap. staf are extremely friendly and helpful. breakfast delicious with plenty of options, fried egg or omelette made to order.

everything here was great, however I would say the drink prices are very steep. paying £30 for a gin and tonic and a sex on the beach was a bit of a unpleasant surprise, especially as the same.drinks one street down cost just over half this price...

We returned to Suadhan Hotel after our Cappadocia visit. Initially we stayed for 2 nights, and then again for 4 nights. The number one highlight is the staff! Every single one was friendly, attentive and genuinely eager to help. They consistently went above and beyond to meet our needs. Honestly, the ground staff at SAW (Sabiha Gökçen Airport) could take a lesson or two here on customer service, especially on how to be cheerful while dealing with guests! Next up is comfort and cleanliness. The whole facility is spotless, even the lightly used stairways. Our room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and wz real care, something we deeply appreciated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the towels fresh and fluffy, adding to the overall coziness of our stay. Breakfast could benefit from a bit more variety, but we understand this seems to be a general pattern in Turkey. Even in Cappadocia, we encountered a similar setup. Not a complaint, more a gentle suggestion for improvement. Once again, a big thank you to all the Suadhan staff for making our stay warm and welcoming.

This isn't about the hotel itself, but a word of caution. The nearby restaurants can be a bit of a nuisance. Every time you step out, you’ll likely be invited (repeatedly) to dine. And most of them are tourist traps, overpriced and underwhelming. We learned this the hard way after our first meal, a claypot dish wz a ridiculous price tag. After that, we simply avoided them

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Istanbul! The location is absolutely perfect — close to everything and easy to get around. What really stood out was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. A special thank you to the kitchen team who prepared a special pasta dish for my 2-year-old nephew, who hadn’t been eating properly for days. It meant so much to us and made a big difference in our trip. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! The cleanliness was exceptional, and the location is simply perfect for tourists. It's just steps away from iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, with the tram only a few meters away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. The staff were wonderful, incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond to address my concerns. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul and can’t wait to return!

Crazy noisie. Every night until 1 am always loud music played in the bars and restaurants in front of the hoteland it started at 8am again.
