The room we got had a great view of Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Breakfast was good, but coffee is not strong enough for me. Our room had a jacuzzi and my kids enjoyed it. Beds are comfortable and clean. The hotel is near everything, shops, restaurants, starbucks, mcdonalds, tourists spots.

The room is old and have watermarks on the ceiling. The lavatory isnt draining well.

I had a wonderful stay at Anthemis Hotel in Istanbul. The staff was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was as smooth as possible. The location couldn't be more perfect, with iconic attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace just a short walk away. .One of the best parts of the stay was the breakfast – the view was breathtaking! From the dining area, you can admire Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the beautiful Marmara Sea while enjoying a delicious meal. It was the perfect way to start each day. The hotel itself was very comfortable and convenient, with a tram station only 30 meters away, making it easy to explore other parts of the city. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul – the combination of great service, prime location, and stunning views really makes it a memorable experience

The location was great — less than 2-minute walk to the tramline, making it very convenient for exploring the Sultanahmet Square area. The surroundings felt a bit tight and busy, with lots of nearby restaurants. There was some noise and music in the evenings, but it usually stopped around 2 am and sometimes earlier, so it didn’t disturb us too much. The staff were absolutely incredible — compassionate, caring, and always ready to help. When we had an emergency, they clearly guided us on what to do, arranged a taxi, and told us the exact cost upfront. Their kindness truly made a difference during our stay. A special shoutout to Serkan and Umut, who were more than accommodating — always going out of their way to be helpful, kind, and welcoming. Their warm greetings and genuine care stood out and were deeply appreciated. Our room was decent and comfortable. We stayed on the first floor with a French balcony, and actually had two balconies to step out onto — though without a view. The shower was amazing, and the iron was really handy. The air conditioning worked brilliantly, which was a big relief in the heat. The TV wasn’t great, but we hardly used it. The bathroom was well stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, soap, and shower caps. In the cupboard, there was also a handy sewing kit available. They provided two bottles of water daily, and the room was cleaned every day. There was also a safe in the room for peace of mind. Throughout our stay, we felt safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. It’s a lovely hotel that many guests may enjoy depending on their preferences.

Perfectly situated - less than 100m to tram stop; both Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and The Basilica Cisterna are within 15 minutes walk Room was modernised and functional - great bed; awesome shower and very hot water available all day; bottled water provided each day Breakfast options were fresh, plentiful and replenished as needed, warm & cold offerings as well as gluten-free bread as per requested on booking Team were very helpful and upon arrival (around 1900) found the fridge not working, facilities team dealt with this efficiently by the time we returned from an outing the following morning.

Double room was quite small, as we had requested an additional bed (chair bed) also, which when laid out took up most of the walking room. Bathroom was small.

The Property was very near all the main attractions in Sultanahmet, like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.

The only drawback was the Aircon which was not cold as it was giving out warm air during our 4 day stay and it was very hot during those 4 days. The hotel staff did say it was because the Aircon is linked to their central system and they would not be able to change it as it was still in their cold months which was a bit puzzling as to why it is like that and that they were not able to change it whenever they wanted to, as it was a hot weekend during our stay. But they did give us a Small Fan to use.

Great location, comfortable rooms, however, the one we got was quite small one for 2 persons.

Breakfast must be improved. The are many dishes, but most of them are stayed untouched as not suitable for breakfast - a lot of spicy mixes of something (in local style, vegetarian). Instead of that it would be enough to ensure proper choice of cooked eggs, qualitative cheese and ham, vegetables, good choice of jam, bread. Also the cleanness should be observed, the staff cuts bread without wearing gloves, for example. We used the restaurant downstairs for our meal times, also breakfast, which is just great and highly recommended - food, staff are amazing!

I loved breakfast at the terrace. You could see all the famous, historical landmarks from the view. Blue mosque and Ayasofya are full view... The breakfast is excellent. But most appreciated part of them all is the staff of the hotel. Sinan at the breakfast is a great host. He is always so attentive and genuinely, enjoy people and likes his job. Mr Sahin, Serkan bey they are all very pleasant people. They make special effort that you have a good staying in Anthemis Hotel. I Thank them all.

Great central location with the metro station less than 2 mins walk away. The breakfast spread was superb and the view was to die for with spectacular uninterrupted views of the Blue Mosque and the rest of the city skyline. The room and hotel was exactly what we needed, perfect for long weekend in Istanbul and at the end of our long days of walking around we were delighted with the extremely comfy beds. The staff service was fantastic and in particular Gagri on the front desk who was always on hand and happy to help and answer our queries and questions. Highly recommend this hotel

The shower water was a little too hot and the cold water stream was very small, but this was only our preference.

Location is excellent, a short walk to all major attractions in the old town, really friendly staff, bars/restaurants literally on the doorstep. Breakfast was lovely and a fantastic view to start your day. 20% discount at the neighbouring bar/restaurant is a real bonus!

We struggled with the temp in the room. All air con had been switched off and heaters on due to the time of year. Although our heater in the room was off, our room was at 25 deg every night, asked for a fan but the hotel didn’t have any, advice was to leave the balcony doors open (even then the lowest we got the temp was 22 deg). This door open was fine as we were 3 floors up, however we were directly above the bars/ restaurant which closed down approx 12.30am ish and with morning prayer time and the bars stocking up approx 6/6.30ish we had very little sleep. Being able to use the AC or even a fan would have made a huge difference.

The location is very good, everything is about 5-10 mins walk, for further distances the tram is also very near. Breakfast is great, multiple choices with many authentic turkish food. The room was clean and - compared to other hotels I checked - quite big. They also store your bags for free after you check out if you have late flight and want to explore some more of the city without luggages.

The Wifi is not really working in the edge of the hotel. We were in room 302 and I can get only some poor reception near the main door. It is also quite noisy because there is a pub just under the rooms and the windows are not too soundproof. The bed is a bit too soft, so that can be a problem for people with spine issues. The hotel has a terrace with a very nice view and it was a shame that we couldn't see it at night. It would be great if they could provide opportunity for it, like opening the terrace for an hour at dark or something. There were some roadworks just in front of our windows and they were drilling up the concrete and grinding something at 2. am. This is not the hotel's fault, but be prepared for everything :D.
