Not related to the hotel itself, but the restaurant at the entrance right side is a total rip-off, charging five times the usual price! We got slammed with a 3,850 TRY (105 EUR) bill for a shared plate of kebabs for two, two teas, and a bottle of water. Avoid this place!

The room was everything you’d want—well-presented, spacious, clean, and luxuriously comfortable. The balcony was a fantastic bonus, offering lovely views of the garden and the iconic Blue Mosque. The staff were professional and courteous, and I couldn’t fault their service. The room itself exudes luxury, with big mirrors, plenty of space, and an immaculate bathroom. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Istanbul, with top attractions, restaurants, cafés, tram stations, and shops just steps away! This is my second time in Istanbul, and I noticed this hotel during my first visit, so I made sure to stay here this time—and it exceeded all my expectations. I love this small hotel. I have stayed there three times, and have never been disappointed. In fact, when I am looking for accommodation in Istanbul, I check there first. Its location in the old city means that it is a short walk to many major attractions, including the Grand Bazaar, and there is a tram station close by. It is slightly off the main street, in a parallel pedestrian street, where there are a number of restaurants. The breakfast is a little limited, but across the pedestrian road is their sister hotel, the Sura Hagia Sofia, which has a wider selection, and you can eat there at no extra cost if you want to spend more time over breakfast. They upgraded my room without request, and the staff are incredibly helpful if you need advice on getting around.

The location was really great. Just 2-3 minutes walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was really delicious. And lastly, the staffs were really helpful and friendly.

Almost everything was perfect. Except the rooms were very hot. We tried to turn off the heaters. But it turned back on automatically after a few minutes and heated up the room too much that it was hard to sleep. We had to call the reception 3 times to fix it and finally keep the heater off totally.

Housekeeping did an exceptional job at keeping everything clean and fresh for us. The bed was really comfortable and the room was actually really soundproof! I know there was people right next door but I never heard them. A side note: the room is all carpet, and it is slightly stained in some areas but you can tell it has been cleaned. No complaints. We loved the breakfast buffet! Every morning was slightly different, and had a good amount of variety. The service and hospitality was incredible. We had great conversations with everyone at breakfast, enjoyed good coffee and the cheese omelette was pretty awesome. We booked a hammam experience at the Spa and that was also amazing. Overall our experience was exceptional. The service and hospitality from everyone at Sura was top notch and we really felt like royalty. We would come back anytime. The property is very well located and well maintained and all the staff are lovely especially Recep at reception and also Ahmet. The check in process was very smooth and easy and they constantly asked how our stay was. They also helped us with storing out luggage until we returned. They are very professional, kind and helpful. The housekeeping team were also very friendly and diligent.I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Istanbul with great Amenities and location.
