-The location is excellent (5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions, excellent transport interchange, many restaurants for different tastes around) -the staff is amazing in kindness and responsiveness (special respect to Yeshim) -everything is clean, the rooms are cleaned daily, but you can regulate this -the breakfasts are quite modest, but everything is fresh and there is a choice -the price for such a location is just a gift

-The room is small, designed more for one, cramped for two, but this is not critical, I would not even call it a minus. In 8 days / 9 nights we simply got used to it.

Normally I'm not stay twice in tge same hotel. Im always try different one. But this hotel. Jump to the number one. Straight away. First if all. Very helpful polite friendly staff. The location is can not be better !!! Do not hesitate to stay here if you try to found a good location.. the ground bazaar is 7 minutes easy walk. Without any hill ! That was my previous problem with other places. All tourists attractions thinks to see its about 5 or 10 minutes walk. Big station 2 minutes walk. Lots of shops restaurants near by. Hotel very clean.. Nive and warm rooms. I controlled the radiator.. what I do like it. Breakfast was basic. But more then enough. Nice tea coffe wonderful juices. Boiled 🥚. Fresh baguette Cheese some vegetables I love the parsley as well personly... The price is totally affordable.. Very good experience. Thank you. I have already booked again.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They made great suggestions on where to eat depending on your itinerary for the day. Also, the hotel is situated at the heart of the city, very close to Sultanahmet tram station and the mosques. You won't even have a problem with eating because there are lots of restaurants and fast foods nearby.

Fantastic location for the main square, restaurants and trams. Great value for money for a budget hotel. The room had a huge king size bed that was very comfortable with decent pillows. While the furniture was a bit tired (always the case with budget hotels), the room had a safe fridge and even air conditioning although I found this a little temperamental to get working from time. The bathroom was very cramped but OK, with the shower cubicle being a fairly decent size. The included continental buffet breakfast was very welcome and tasty. And finally the staff... They were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Stunning location, 1 minute walk from tram station, 5 min to the blue mosque and all the bazaar, 10 min to the ferry pier. The Hotel brilliant hospitality, the staff even give us a detail explanation of what to do nearby and give us souvenir at first. The bathroom is a bit old but is good enough for the price. They serve free breakfast every morning, Wifi is great, everything is great, you simply cant ask for more PS: just remember dont go to the restaurants nearby the area cos they are all overpriced. The staff warned us but we didnt listen at first, Trust the staff from this hotel!!!!

Location is exceptional, a short walk to the main sights in Istanbul - Basilica Cistern, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Egypt Bazaar, Topkapı Palace are all within walking distance. The room comes with buffet breakfast. It maybe basic for some, but its more that enough for non breakfast person like me :) bread with cheese/butter/assorted jams, hot coffee /tea, 2 type of fruit juice. The lady at reception (I forgot her name) is exceptional! Super friendly and helpful, she even gave me a bracelet.

**This is not a negative point as I am aware there's no electric kettle in the room before booking. Just putting it out here for future traveller. ** While they don't have electric kettle in the room, you can enjoy coffee /tea at the breakfast area (next to reception).

The location could not have been better. Quiet amd incredibly close to major attraction, including transport links. I also think Yesifm (sorry If I've got the spelling incorrect) should be the face of the business. I wish the rest of the staff were as proactive in their approach to assisting their guests. Perhaps this may be lamguage issue but I found her to be incredile and someone the rest of the staff could learn from.

The bathroom was tiny and dated and in need of updating. Given the space I understand the size just think the shower and screens can do with updating.

The hotel is situated perfectly, with a walking distance to the main attractions and good tram/metro connection to the further ones. The room is clean and cleaned every day. Simple breakfast, good to start the day. The owners and people working at the reception are super friendly, will help if needed and even give a gift. :)

It's city center, hence, it's noisy, especially during the weekend. Take some earplugs, if you're having trouble sleeping.

A small family run hotel in the perfect location for seeing the main sights of Istanbul. It is just a few minutes walk from historic Mosques, the Topaki Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Excellent transport links to see the rest of the city. Tram and Metro nearby. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good. Fresh bread, cheese, cereal, pastries, tea, coffee and fruit juices. However the best aspect of the hotel is the staff. The owner is a former wrestler whose trophies and medals are displayed in the reception/breakfast room. Special mention must be made of the lovely young lady who serves breakfast. She is so kind and will tell you lots of information on Istanbul and is genuinely interested in what you've done and experienced in Istanbul. I highly recommend the Arife Sultan Hotel.

This hotel was the best thing that happened to me during my trip. I fell in love with Istanbul and part of it is due to this charming hotel. The girl at the reception, Yesim, was awesome. Not only she gave a warm welcome, but she also checked me in early and gave me great tips for my stay in this magnificent city. Breakfast was great, and the location couldn't be better. Mehmet, the manager, and the other Mehmet at the front desk are both friendly, and helpful. When I go back to Istanbul I will definitely stay at this hotel.
