Great staff, breakfast and location. Recommended.

In the family room there was a sewage smell. This was the only negative and we ended up buying air freshener to hide the smell. I think due to the fact this is an old building and the sewage system is probably ancient it is probably common with this type of accommodation.

The location was pretty good with short walks to the local sightseeing places in Sultanahmet. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Luggage storage service. Adequate breakfast option. Good speed of wifi in all floors. Nice view from the terrace, I think views would have been better in summer.

The hotel unfortunately does not have a lift so people with mobility issues will have trouble going to the very top -Couple of floors up should be fine. The breakfast option was same everyday and with different kinds of cheese (would cause lactose intolerance). The water pressure at the top floor momentarily loses completely with no water for 10 seconds and then starts. Happened atleast twice a day for us. Wasn’t much of an issue, but needed to wait a bit.

Location is excellent, just below the Blue Mosque but away from the tourist crowd, towards the Little Aya Sofia. The staff is very friendly and helpful, fluent in English and Russian and knowing some French. The terrace on top offers a great view of the Bosphorus, and the hotel is putting up a bar there now.

To pull the omelette off the buffet breakfast (included into the stay) and into the menu (paid-for selection) was a strange idea. (the change happened right during our stay). The hotel is a bit aged, as is furniture and tolets/showers. Toilets/showers can be cleaned a bit more thoroughly between guests' stays.

Really nice house building with fantastic outside glass wall area with retractable roof to have your breakfast. Close to landmarks since it is Sultanahmet area. The personnel is really kind and friendly, the main reception guy gave me a snack and a glass of cola as I was working with my accounting in the living room. The breakfast is good to start the day, not huge or continental stuff but not poor either, it is quality because they have people cooking it live in the kitchen while you eat, nice vegetables and eggs. The room was luxuriously furnished, I had a nice balcony with cute cats visiting me. Kettle tea coffee sugar bottled water a refrigerator and cups in the room. Linen perfecty clean. One use slippers. Great beds to sleep on after a tiring day wandering around this beautiful metropolis. They have a nice terrace at the top of the bulding which should be perfect in summer, with some sea view. The area is super safe even if it si in a tight sokak with some minor construction work nearby. Newly renovated hotel on the inside, clean. Looks like a traditional wooden turkish house on the outside. Fantastic, beyond my expectations value for money.Thank you for the nice, friendly and welcoming stay!

Only drawbacks I see was that the door in my room was newly installed and had some gap on the side and bottom which allowed for sound from the stairs get into my room. It can be fixed easily. Not so annoying as I was sleeping with earplugs. Also, some mould on the bathroom ceiling, and a bit old hairdryer.

I had a single room for one person. The room was very cute with matching curtains, pillows and bed cover, like you can see in the picture. I liked antique “Sultany” vibes through all the furniture and wall lamps :) The room was clean, good plumbing. The room had a tv, small fridge, air conditioner, a kettle, some tea cups, and a hair dryer. I didn’t use most of it, but the air conditioner and the fridge worked very well. Wifi worked really well everywhere around the hotel. The hotel has a terrace at the top of it and the view there is amazing. I suggest visiting it (picture attached) Breakfast was nice and simple, could be more diverse, but still was good. It had everything to make a sandwich (cheese, sausages, tomatoes, cucumbers, butter), cereal with milk, boiled eggs and some sweet cake. And once in a while there were salads, Grenki or fried potatoes. (pictures attached) Staff was nice and friendly, helped with everything!

There was no hot water in the shower until I addressed it to the receptionist.

Very friendly host and incredibly convinient place in Sultanahmet, spitting distance from major sightseeing spots like the Hagia Sophia, Bazaars, pr the Blue Mosque. Free tee and coffee, and a nice rooftop terrace to chill with cats. Would definitly recommend for short stays in Istanbul central. The room was very well maintained, clean, and held everything you‘d need.

The doors to each room are quite old. So you will hear everything that is going on outside. But to be fair, that seems to be the case at every Turkish hotel in this price range.

We reached the hotel at very early morning because of the overnight bus schedule. The hotel gentleman let us take the breakfast first (because we wouldn't take the last day breakfast due to very early Check-out) and then relax on the beautiful terrace. The lady cleaned up the room immediately and made it ready for us to check-in, at around 10am!!!! 4 hours earlier than regular check-in time. We were very thankful for that. The room is spacy and clean, the beds are very comfortable too. We could simply lay in bed and see the Blue Moschee. The location is prefect, only about 5 minutes walk to the Blue Moschee and many lovely big and small restaurants nearby while the hotel itself locals at a small quiet street. The buffet breakfast was great too, basic choice with some very nice homemade food/cakes.

Only thing is that the water pressure of the shower is not so powerful but still acceptable .

Location is not bad, close to Sultanahmet, can jump on a tram nearby to get anywhere. Room was clean and fully equipped with details like bottles of water, shampoo, shower gels etc. Very good value for your money. Breakfast is basic buffet, pretty much ok for short stays otherwise can get boring quickly.

Walls are a bit thin including doors so hope your neighbors are not noisy. Staff wasn't exactly helpful about getting around. Bathroom can be smallish for some.

Location was great. It was quite even with all the cats resting along the street. Staff was our favorite. They were so friendly, and well traveled. We really got along. Loved the breakfast and the look/feel of both the exterior of the hotel and room. Room was a bit small, but the price for a major city like Istanbul seems reasonable. We were also so close to the great dinner restaurants, so being able to walk home after a great night out was a huge plus.

All the character from the hotel's outside and entrance space was great, but I wish there was more personality to the rooms themselves.
