Great views when having breakfast on the terrace with sea view on one side and mosque view on the other side. Tekin, the hotel's owner was so nice, he agreed to let us check-in early in the morning without any extra cost, after our long flight. We appreciated for that. Superb location with restaurants nearby, just some minutes to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. From the airport to the hotel with luggage, the better solution is call a taxi (about one thousand and three hundred TRY) because the steep roads/inclines all around. Suggest you a cafe' Seven Hills with incredible views of Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque from its rooftop.

There is not elevator, but it didn't matter to us.

Firstly the staff were absolutely amazing from reception, breakfast and maintenance - everyone was happy to help and always there. The room was decent, well equipped and a clean sleeping area with space enough for 4 of us: 2 single beds and one king size, a large wardrobe, safe, tea making facilities, TV, A/C and Towels. The bathroom was fair - with a shower, toilet and sink - no bathtub - probably could do with a deep clean in some corners, but overall a good clean standard.. The location was absolutely brilliant - so close to the Blue Mosque (SultanAhmet Masjid) and the Hagia Sophia but go in the other direction and you're on the waterfront in a fee mins. With so many eating places to choose from - you wont be disappointed - even your McDonalds, Burger King and Starbucks less than 10mins My only criticism would be the small, limited breakfast but it was on a lovely rooftop terrace with lovely staff always happy to help and always topping up the buffet.

May not be the best choice for the elderly with steep roads/inclines all around but then again, most of Old Istanbul is quite steep.

Loved the turkish breakfast buffet, had a wonderful selection of fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, coffee (from an espresso machine) turkish tea, toast, bread, eggs, sausages and fruit juice, among other things. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed; and same with the bathrooms. The bidet toilet was a welcome surprise after long travels without! Loved the old-world charm of the hotel and it's styling, and the incredibly friendly and attentive staff who were so much help to us. The gorgeous rooftop terrace had an almost panoramic view of the bosphorus. The location in Sultanahamet was unparalleled, and not only was it a short walk from big sights like hagia sophia, and the blue mosque, it was also surrounded by restaurants and cafes, and a short walk from the tram stop.

The hotel is within a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Nice hotel in a great location. The twin room we had was spacious and very clean. The towels and bedsheets were changed everyday. Breakfast was good. The view from the terrace is great. All the staff are very friendly and helpful - couldn't have asked for anything more.

There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. There is no lift in the hotel but we knew that before we booked it, so this was not an issue for us.

A very big Thank You to this family-owned hotel who went out of their way to ensure our time in Istanbul was memorable. They went above and beyond in every way, especially their personal service, excellent local knowledge and advice. The bedroom/bathroom was as described and spotlessly clean. Having stayed in Sultanahmet before, I can say this hotel is perfectly placed - on a small, quiet street and in easy walking distance to the Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar and quieter, less-tourist-crowded areas. Wonderful hotel - clean and comfortable. The view from the terrace is a separate kind of beauty. Towels were changed every day and an additional hairdryer was provided free of charge upon request. Sultanahmet Square and a tram stop are a 5-7 minute walk away. I recommend the hotel for accommodation. Location, daily change of towels, view from terrace, friendliness of the staff - main advantages of the hotel.

if you add bathrobes to the rooms it would be great!

Great location just a few steps from main attractions and Grand Bazaar. A lovely roof terrace where breakfast was served, and also available to sit there admiring the views in the evenings. Excellent air conditioning and wi-if. Owners and staff on-hand at all times and went out of their way to make a pleasant experience.

Sometimes noisy cats screeching on the fire escape during the night - closing the window is the best option and put on the air conditioning which is excellent.

Incredible service!!!!! No request was too big. Our experience was spectacular. Breakfast was fresh and hearty each morning. Rooms were cleaned daily. Such a central location (5 minutes to the Blue Mosque) but still super quiet at night. The front desk is always manned and ready to assist however they can. If you are deciding between a few hotels (like we were) make the right decision and pick here.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's nice and easily accessible to major attractions, close to several restaurants, shops, markets and masjids. The family who own the hotel are very warm and hospitable and always ready to assist. The lovely lady and man who help maintain the building are wonderful as well. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Istanbul. Thanks everyone!

The hotel was in walking distance from Sultanahmet Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Breakfast was varied both continental and hot - it was consistently replenished throughout the time, the lady making breakfast offered omelettes as well. Hotel room was spacious and comfortable with a good size bathroom that had constant hot water. Fresh towels, bedding and toiletries were changed for the 4 nights we stayed and Taner on the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much of an ask (for example free water bottles, extra toilet roll and even Turkish tea). All in all an excellent stay and the hotel is family run!
