We chose this hotel for location and based on reviews. It was our fist trip to Turkey. We were greeted very cordially by Necati. He was very helpful in accommodating our immediate needs as we were just off and very early morning flight. He arranged early admission to our room and breakfast. We felt at home. The staff in the reception area, the breakfast room and the 360 Degree restaurant could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent. Thank you.

Well the first bit of feedback has to be the incredible location of this hotel. Literally a 5 minute stroll from the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet Square. And the views from the rooms at the front of the hotel are more than worth paying the extra for - this must be the closest hotel to the Hagia Sophia as it is literally in front of you! Amazing location. Secondly, the staff at this hotel are stand-out. Everyone on reception, the managers, the bell boy and door porters were all so helpful, friendly, polite and welcoming. Special thanks to the Day Manager who greeted us on arrival with a cup of coffee and provided information about the local area and tours we could take. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you again to say thank you for everything, but am sure your colleague passed on our thanks. And huge thanks too, to the Manager who helped me locate our transfer vehicle when we checked out, and went above and beyond escorting me to the people carrier. The service from everyone who works at the And Hotel is friendly and incredible, so please do tip the team! The rooms themselves are clean if a bit dated, the beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet upstairs is plentiful and fresh. The view from the 360 terrace is absolutely stunning and must be one of the best in Istanbul.

Our only negatives really are the size of the rooms and the rather dated decor and carpets in them. Bedrooms and bathrooms are pretty small, but so are many others in the Old City. That said, it was perfectly adequate as a base for a 4/5 day break, and to be honest, the views more than made up for the room size! We had booked a room with a balcony but actually moved downstairs to the 4th floor on arrival, in order to have a slightly larger room.

The balconey and view is the best thing about this accommodation. It was spacious and we could see both hagia sophia and blue mosque. The room, however, did not match the price point. The room was small, and the carpeted floor had wobbly spots?? It was the only accommodation we stayed at that had a sign to not flush toilet paper, which caught us by surprise. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent and the plumbing was mixed up so I had to turn the tap to cold water to get the hot water (discovered after waiting in the cold for a few minutes for the freezing water to get warm). The rooftop restaurant is the most overpriced restaurant we saw in the area, although the view is great. The customer service was great but definitely room for improvement.

We have stayed at the AND Hotel in the past, so we knew what to expect, and we were not disappointed. First, the staff is wonderful. We appreciated the friendliness and willingness to accommodate our needs. I hope I spell the manager's name correctly: Necati. He was gracious, smiling, and helpful. Thank you. All the staff was polite and helpful. Our room was excellent: great view of the old town, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the waters of the Bosporus. The balcony had an awning to protect it from sun and rain. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The restaurant staff was polite, and the restaurant had a commanding 360-degree view from atop the building. The location of the AND Hotel is beyond superb. The photo is the view from our room.

Anyone staying here needs to understand that the rooms are small. You won't be able to spend extended time enjoying your room because of limited space. If you get a room with a balcony, it helps. This is an older boutique hotel. If you like the facilities of a Hyatt or Hilton, this is not the hotel for you. You won't find a gym or a spa and pool. The restaurant served very good food, but the pricing felt expensive. Of course, you are paying for a view, location, and a limited-size facility, so high volume does not finance the restaurant.

Excellent location with main tourist interests in 5-10 minute walk. Most of the staff was very friendly. The view from the balcony room was exceptional and worth the stay. Good size bathroom.

The room was extremely small with less room to move than in an interior cruise ship room. The double bed was pushed up against one wall which is not shown in the photos of the room. One person needs to either be in the bed or on the balcony while the other moves about. If this is not a concern for you, then I highly recommend the location and balcony room.

The location is amazing - right by Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. We had a fabulous view of both from our balcony. The hotel building is a historic one and the decorations are rather in need of a facelift - particularly the bathrooms. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with lots of Turkish elements as well as more traditional UK ones. No decaf coffee or tea was a disappointment but then it’s almost impossible to find anywhere in the city.

Sound proofing between the bathrooms was poor and the bathrooms were very old fashioned.

The hotel was right next to Hagia Sophia, only a few minutes away and even closer to the Basilica Cistern. My corner room on the top floor had a balcony that looked straight at this, the Blue Mosque, and on the other side, the Golden Horn (river). Staff were very informative and helpful, even walking with me carrying my luggage to help me to get a taxi (traffic can't come right up to the door).

The room was cramped. I had to take little steps all the time. However, I was happy with the trade off of the views and location described above. Wifi if not good. I'm not sure if this is due to dated city infrastructure or if the hotel needs to upgrade its system. It's nearly impossible to upload files or even reliably access your bank account unless you use the data plan on your phone to Hot Spot. If you don't like getting up early, you won't like it because there's a call to prayer on load speakers from Hagia Sophia at 6.00 am. However, to me it was all part of the experience, and the location and views more than made up for it.

we ate four times at the restaurant at the and hotel. Two breakfasts and two dinners. The breakfast was buffet and had a wonderful variety of local cuisine for us to taste and enjoy. 360 panoramic view from the restaurant was just awesome! Both in the day and in the night. the dinners at night where beautifully prepared and served. We have no complaints other than the hungry birds that were around! Actually, they were quite a thing to watch! The front desk called us a cab to get to our next stop, they handled our bags, and loaned us a voltage adapter for our room! They were much more than accommodating.

The position was right in the heart of the old city. Only minutes from the Blue Mosque, Cistern, Topaki Pala w & the Tram. The staff were very friendly & made us feel welcome. The Restaurant on the sixth floor, serves great food & the view is spectacular. Don’t miss the cafe in the Topaki gardens for ambience.

The rooms are small but you aren’t going to spend time there anyway. Being in the hear of the tourist centre has its set back. Get the tram done to the port where the food is great & half the price & you won’t be bothered by spruikers trying to sell you things.

Great location. We had a room with balcony on the 5th floor which had the best view you can imagine in Istanbul, with Hagia Sofia directly in front of the balcony and very good visiblity also of the other main historical attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Irene, Justice Tower / Topkapi, Hurrem Hamam, parc, the exit from the Basilica Cistern, and also the new TV tower,.All these top historical sites are just in max. 3 min walking distance. Waiking up with the beautiful view of Hagia Sofia and sitting in the evening/night on the balcony enjoying a drink with this amazing view was every cent worth. The staff was very friendly and the room cleaning was done every day with the exchange of all bed sheets and towels. If you don't get this type of room you still can enjoy the view from the restaurant on top (6th floor) which has a terrace from where you see not only all these main attractions but also the Bosphorus, while you enjoy your coffee at breakfast or the dinner.

Don't expect big rooms or swimming pool. The room and the shower is pretty small and you have to be carefull with the TV which is in the way. The breakfast is not bad, has some variety, but has space of improvement for a 4* hotel, especially regarding meat (don't worry, you will get your coffe and will not remain hungry because it's not an Italian breakfast).
