The location of the hotel was perfect, within only a few minutes walking distance to the cities major sightseeing spots. The breakfast is served in a nearby hotel (20 meters), with a fabulous rooftop terrace. The breakfast was a healthy mix between western and local cuisine. The hotel room was clean and modern, actually looked a lot better than on the pictures. The hotel is relatively small (only 9 rooms) and the building has an escalator (4 floors). The staff at this hotel is just great. Very welcoming, always in for a nice talk and provided great dining and sightseeing tips. Also cleaning service is super fast, mostly done during the time you are getting breakfast.

We loved everything about our stay. The room was super clean and cozy. The location is perfect right in the heart of the city. We enjoyed walking around all day and discovering Istanbul on foot. The breakfasts were amazing tasty, hearty, and served on the rooftop of a nearby hotel with a stunning city view. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed on the 2nd floor in a room. The mattress was very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, the shower great, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We truly felt happy and comfortable here. If you’re looking for a hotel in Istanbul — don’t hesitate, this is the one!

I would like to express my gratitude for the highest service of the hotel and separately to the staff:  waitress Nara at the hotel restaurant, Gurhan and Murat at the Merial Hotel. I flew to the Merial Hotel for the first time in winter and celebrated my birthday. In the restaurant, Nara organized a wonderful greeting, a delicious cake, and I was happy. She is always responsive and friendly, helped with the choice of dishes, organized a table by the window)) The views from the restaurant are just a bomb, you don't want to leave the terrace. The food is varied, you can change different food every day. In the summer, I returned to the Merial Hotel for the second time, everything was also super, it is worth noting the responsiveness of the Gurhan and Murat staff, and also the girl cleaning the hotel; the hospitality is on top, daily high-quality room cleaning, change of towels and gels and shampoos are always reported. The Merial Hotel is not a 3-star hotel, its value in stars is much higher in terms of service and quality. I returned to the hotel for the second time and I will definitely return again. Older style hotel within a stone's throw of all of Sultanahmet's attractions. Quaint little 8 room hotel, the manager was a beautiful gentleman who could not do enough for us. Clean, quiet room - a bit small but you're not spending any time apart from sleeping and resting in there when there's so much to see, do and eat in the area. Breakfast at the nearby rooftop of Adamar Hotel was excellent, great selection of the Turkish traditional favourites and a smattering of "Western" staples. Absolutely incredible view as well !

There was nothing not to like

Second time I have stayed here so that says something about the property. The manager was a great fellow, very friendly. So close to all the big attractions of Sultanahmet, a million restaurants, and tram. Quaint little rooms that are clean and quiet, and our room had a view of the Ayia Sophia. Breakfast is at a nearby sister hotel and is one of the best spreads I have seen. Would I stay here again ? You bet !

There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

Everything was great. The personel speak really good english, they helped us a lot with getting sth to eat before out early check out. Rooms were cleaned and sanitised, towels were changed everyday. Wifi was working really good. The location is amazing. Close to all possible places, especially to the tourist attractions. Breakfast was really tasty, located in the hotel 50m away with a beautiful 360 view.

The elevator is tiny, but it fits everything you need. Because of the close location to Hagia Sofia, it is a bit loud during the prayer time, but... where it isn't.

It is a very cozy and small hotel, at least the room we stayed in, which is very good for solo travelers or couples without children. The room was small but that doesn't limit the comfort at all, in any case, you do come to the city to walk around, not to stay in a hotel. Housekeeping was daily, in the morning at breakfast time. Breakfast is at the hotel next door on the terrace with a great view of the city. And specially I really want to recognize and say thank you to the staff of the hotel. This is exactly what makes it special. Amazingly friendly and responsive people, ready to go along and help absolutely in any situation.

There aren't many grocery stores around the hotel, especially ones that would be open late. But this is the nature of the region and the hotel is not responsible for this. Moreover, it does not interfere much with comfort - just buy what you need in advance in the afternoon.

Everything was perfect!!! I felt like I am at home! Dede is one of the sweetest, kindness, helpful person who I have ever met in Türkce :))) astaff are very good people! I love them all!!! They made my time to be wonderful, too! The room is very nice and clean and well equipped.. has everything what we need.. hair dryer, safe, tv, kettle etc. The bed was perfect to sleep very well.. big and hard, whatI like.. if u would like to be in a qiet room u need to ask the rooms what is behind, but I love to hear that noice what is coming from the street… to get that energy what is coming from that amasing people and place.. Choose this small hotel cos you will be in a perfect place.. believe me!!! My heart longs to return!!! The breakfast is on the next street, in the big hotel, u can walk 2 minutes to be there and enjoy the gorgeos panorama during your eating from the top.. The food is nice.. small breakfast place but they have everything! Dede.. I miss you all!!! 🥰🇹🇷❤️🙏🏼

Arrived early morning and was treated to a complimentary breakfast and luggage storage. Breakfast buffet located at a nearby hotel (Panoramic Restaurant) with a great view. Upon check-in we were offered a complimentary upgrade which we very much appreciated. Hotel staff were very kind and friendly, especially the owner who made you feel like family.

The additional spoils and hospitality made the stay worth it, but if I had to mention minor changes: - A bit more variety in breakfast to stand-out from other hotels - Room/hotel was a bit small (but we were aware of this upfront) - The hotel was on an incline so was a bit tiring to walk-up (but this is to be expected in Istanbul) - The bathtubs are a bit high to climb over (would have been nice if there were rather walk-in showers)
