First of all, Ali is a very friendly and thoughtful host. One of the best turkish staff we ever had during our stay in Istanbul. He can get you everything you need and really do his best for you to fell comfortable. Hotel is located near one of the most popular tourist route with a lot of mosques and other iconic landmarks of Istanbul. The public transport stations though not really located close to hotel (about 10 minutes to tram, and 20 minutes to metro), but while on the way to them you can enjoy wonderfull views on Istanbul attractions. In the hotel we had everything we really needed: free drinking water, coffee and tea (again thanks to Ali for unlimited supply of these), clean towels, good washroom, comfortable bed and pillows. Ali helped us to wash our clothes (he actually did it by himself) and brought an iron when we needed it.

The room is a little smaller that we thought from the fotos, but it is still cozy. There isn't any closet and bedside tables aren't too roomy. So most of the time our room were just littered with our clothes and other stuff. Some kind of shelves on walls would be nice. The walls between rooms are thin. We lived with neighbors who had a baby, and when he cried, we heard it as if he were in our room. But we were so tired from walking all around Istanbul, so we slept like the dead and the baby didn't bother us much.

The location is very good. Close to main attractions and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, they helped me to manage a taxi to the airport at a very fair price. They give water, tea and coffee for free.

The rooms are very small, but the size of the bath is good. The staff is friendly, but sometimes communication was very difficult because they barely speak English, that was strange to me because this was the only place where we struggle with this situation. Also, during March 2025 there was a lot of noise on the street due to constructions being done nearby. Also, while we were using the bathroom, we water of the sink started to turn brown, we called the staff and they told us that it happened once a month but after 2 minutes that would disappear. We waited +15 minutes and that didn't changed, water was still pretty brown. They could fix it but that had never happened to me.

We had a great experience staying at Turna Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is perfectly located next to the Little Hagia Sophia mosque, and walking distance to the many attractions in the Sultanahmet area. The room is large and clean, and we had everything needed for a one week stay. On top of everything though, is Ali, the hotel manager, who is hospitality personified. Ali took care our every need, he was always around to greet us with a warm smile. He kindly recommended local places for us to go to that mostly locals would know of, offered to help us with charging our electric scooters, helped us park our car... Ali showered us with small gifts and personal attention, making us feel so welcome and enjoy our trip so much! We look forward to our next trip to Istanbul, and staying at Turna Hotel again!

My stay at Turna Hotel in Istanbul in February 2025 was excellent. The location is perfect, within walking distance of major attractions. The rooms were cozy despite the chilly weather, and the free Wi-Fi made the stay even more comfortable. The highlight was the outstanding service—manager Ali went above and beyond, always on standby to assist. The room was spotless, and the hospitality was exceptional. Ali even surprised us every evening with Turkish treats, adding a special touch to our stay. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Istanbul. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect!

When you want a host...Ali is the one. He made your staying there such a pleasure, helps you with tours, advices, arrange discount on everything, teach you about safety and local tricks, arrange tickets,...etc. Lovely rooms with all necesary, but as I sad he makes you feel that staying there you are not a guest, but a part of them. Clean of course. Locations, no comment... everything on your hand. Center (biggest mosques-square) are one cigarete far. He made that Hotel a nest of good vibrations and harmony and he is aveable for you 24/7 (prompt response). If there is a booking reward, his hotel should get it. For a normal price you get more then...!

Everything was excellent. Great location and rooms exactly as advertised. It’s only a few minutes to the blue mosque and there are actually some decent restaurants close by which is not the case with a lot of sultanahmet, lots of tourist traps in the area. Ali our host was super helpful and kind and really made our stay better. I doubt you can do better than this place for a base to explore Istanbul.

READ THIS REVIEW! Turna Pansiyon was really great! The first thing we noticed was how spotlessly clean it was! The budget doubles were small, but the superior triple was quite large. It was really nice to have two budget doubles next to a superior triple because our entire family could be in the same hallway which made getting ready in the morning and organizing the day so much easier. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We had two electric wheelchairs which they were constantly helping us bring out to the street for the day and then store for the evening. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioners worked great. The showers had very hot water and great water pressure. Location was actually fantastic, and there are lots of delicious, affordable restaurants nearby. Great value!!!

Wish the duvet on the king bed was a bit larger.

Everything was great. The room was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy. It had all the necessary facilities too. The host went above and beyond with his service, helping us park our car safely, offering us a less noisy room with a window facing our car, water, suggestions for reasonably-priced restaurants, and 24/24 support. He even offered us a sweet treat at the end of our stay, which was very kind. We felt welcomed and safe. Will definitely book again if we come to Istanbul.

The location (walkable distance to many attractions, Blue Mosque, Santa Sofia Mosque and others), near to nice restaurants with affordable prices, the area it’s quiet but above all Ali and his family, who assisted us for the whole trip, giving us advice about where to eat, what to visit, providing everything we needed for the room, arranging for us a taxi to the airport for a really good price and he even giving a small gift to go back home. They were extremely attentive and nice.

We had a great experience at Turna. The rooms are a very good value, simple and clean and exactly what we needed for our stay in Istanbul. The manager Ali was amazingly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, including recommendations in the local area, getting us a fair price on a taxi, and even some treats during our stay and a care package when we left. These were all great touches that we appreciated.

The beds were a bit firm for our taste, but of course everyone has their own preference on bed firmness.
