First of all, Ali is a very friendly and thoughtful host. One of the best turkish staff we ever had during our stay in Istanbul. He can get you everything you need and really do his best for you to fell comfortable. Hotel is located near one of the most popular tourist route with a lot of mosques and other iconic landmarks of Istanbul. The public transport stations though not really located close to hotel (about 10 minutes to tram, and 20 minutes to metro), but while on the way to them you can enjoy wonderfull views on Istanbul attractions. In the hotel we had everything we really needed: free drinking water, coffee and tea (again thanks to Ali for unlimited supply of these), clean towels, good washroom, comfortable bed and pillows. Ali helped us to wash our clothes (he actually did it by himself) and brought an iron when we needed it.

The room is a little smaller that we thought from the fotos, but it is still cozy. There isn't any closet and bedside tables aren't too roomy. So most of the time our room were just littered with our clothes and other stuff. Some kind of shelves on walls would be nice. The walls between rooms are thin. We lived with neighbors who had a baby, and when he cried, we heard it as if he were in our room. But we were so tired from walking all around Istanbul, so we slept like the dead and the baby didn't bother us much.

The service from Ali and his sister was amazing! Always prompt and generous with their time and efforts for anything we needed, including restaurant recommendations and laundry service. The location of the hotel is within 10-15min walking distance of the Hagia Sofia, tram services and main streets of Istanbul city.

Only minor and didn't impact our stay much at all, but there were aspects of the room that looked to be patched up due to renovation or as an interim solution, such as some cracks in the wall by the room door and the shower head holder which need some careful tweaking to stay still.

Turna Hotel is ideally situated, making it easy to walk to all the major attractions. While the rooms are modest in size, they're perfectly suited for resting and freshening up after a day of exploring. Ali, our host, was exceptional—always present and attentive, checking in daily to ensure we were comfortable. He regularly brought us fresh fruit and treats, changed our bedding every other day, and even arranged a discounted taxi for us. On our last night, he surprised us with a thoughtful parting gift: Turkish coffee and baklava, neatly packed for travel. We've saved his WhatsApp and will definitely reach out when we return to Istanbul.

Maybe if the rooms were a little bigger, only because we stayed a week.

The hotel was quite nice. We really liked the location, cleanliness, facilities etc. The host Ali is so friendly, kind and helpful, he really cares of your comfort. The expression in general is great. I recommend staying here. For such a price especially. P.S. Ali even made a surprise for us and gave us baklava and coffee to home. It was so special. Thank you.

There was a little noise from streets or corridors, because of thin walls or windows, but it didn’t bother us at all. So it wasn’t a problem. And the fridge didn’t cool as great as it was supposed to, but it wasn’t a big problem for us.

A huge thank you to Ali, our host, whose kindness, availability, and thoughtful touches made our stay absolutely perfect. It’s rare to be so well taken care of, from recommending great local restaurants to always being attentive and genuinely caring, Ali went above and beyond. Every day brought a lovely surprise, whether it was a welcome sweet, fresh fruits, or a sweet gesture at the end of our stay. The hotel is ideally located on a quiet street, just a short walk from Istanbul's main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay with nothing to complain about. Ali truly made the difference, he is an exceptional host we wholeheartedly recommend.

The location is very good. Close to main attractions and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, they helped me to manage a taxi to the airport at a very fair price. They give water, tea and coffee for free.

The rooms are very small, but the size of the bath is good. The staff is friendly, but sometimes communication was very difficult because they barely speak English, that was strange to me because this was the only place where we struggle with this situation. Also, during March 2025 there was a lot of noise on the street due to constructions being done nearby. Also, while we were using the bathroom, we water of the sink started to turn brown, we called the staff and they told us that it happened once a month but after 2 minutes that would disappear. We waited +15 minutes and that didn't changed, water was still pretty brown. They could fix it but that had never happened to me.

The room was super clean and cozy. The location is great. Around the hotel there are lovely traditional Turkish restaurants with very good prices and quality. It’s close to the busy tourist areas, however the crowds remain distant from the hotel. The guy at the reception was amazing! He was super friendly and helpful. He took care of our car throughout our stay, he was always helpful, gave us lovely suggestions for restaurants and grocery stores in the area. Overall, Turna hotel played big part of our unforgettable experience in Istanbul.

I really can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

We had a great experience staying at Turna Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is perfectly located next to the Little Hagia Sophia mosque, and walking distance to the many attractions in the Sultanahmet area. The room is large and clean, and we had everything needed for a one week stay. On top of everything though, is Ali, the hotel manager, who is hospitality personified. Ali took care our every need, he was always around to greet us with a warm smile. He kindly recommended local places for us to go to that mostly locals would know of, offered to help us with charging our electric scooters, helped us park our car... Ali showered us with small gifts and personal attention, making us feel so welcome and enjoy our trip so much! We look forward to our next trip to Istanbul, and staying at Turna Hotel again!

My stay at Turna Hotel in Istanbul in February 2025 was excellent. The location is perfect, within walking distance of major attractions. The rooms were cozy despite the chilly weather, and the free Wi-Fi made the stay even more comfortable. The highlight was the outstanding service—manager Ali went above and beyond, always on standby to assist. The room was spotless, and the hospitality was exceptional. Ali even surprised us every evening with Turkish treats, adding a special touch to our stay. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Istanbul. Highly recommend!
