I liked everything about the Hotel Le Negresco, and there were only a couple of exceptions.

The biggest issue we had was at the Oceanside restaurant, some waiters/waitresses, but not all, and also, some of the staff setting up beach chairs & umbrellas were aggressive about asking for tips. It seemed that they focused on USA citizens as they know that tipping is a custom in the USA. However, in the USA, waiters & waitresses get paid a low minimum wage, and so tipping is necessary. However, throughout most of the World, including Europe & Asia, service charges & consumption taxes are included in the bill, instead of tipping. I believe that if one receives exceptional service, then at the guest’s discretion, they can choose to leave a tip.

Very good place, historical hotel, a lot of art, good room service facilities.

The most annoying was entering the hotel everyday. The staff was always caching us in the lobby, almost grabbing and asking “do You live here?”. I understand that they have a lot of travelers who are entering the hotel and want to see it from inside, but they should have some system how to know if the person entering is a guest or just a turist from the street. When You live 4 days and enter the hotel 3-5 times a day it seems very disrespectful grabbing You every time. Also the bar in the lobby has only few tables and You need to wait ours by reception if you want to have even a cup of coffee. Room service speaks only French and Russian. No English.

The reception was very friendly. We were greeted hospitably and even given a room earlier than expected, which was nice. The room was a "superior room" with a view of the courtyard. The courtyard view is of a well with a mesh covering the roof. The view is terrible. If you're staying at this hotel, choose a sea view room with a balcony. Breakfast is quite modest, nothing special for a hotel of this class. I recommend having breakfast at nearby cafes, which are cheaper and offer more variety.

The beach costs 50 euros per person, which doesn't seem appropriate for a hotel of this class. It would have been better if the beach fee was included in the room price. For instance, instead of the room costing 1000 euros per night, it could be 1050. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. This is, of course, unacceptable for such a luxurious hotel.

1. It’s the Negresco — fabulous hotel. Respectable, legendary property. 2. Private spa and massage (which I booked by myself after arrival) were just out of this world. So chic, so relaxing. The therapists were beautiful French ladies, they were so friendly and knowledgeable about their job. 3. Many top-notch facilities are already inside of the hotel. And as the hotel is a landmark itself for the first time we didn’t even wanted to go outside.

1. Instead of double bed there were two single beds put together. Cmon guys, are you serious? 2. They missed everything that I asked them to do in emails. They didn’t ordered me flowers, they didn’t book me a private spa procedures, the private beach personnel didn’t provide me with white wine which i also asked. It’s a pity, you have to double check after them. For a that level of hotel I expected them to be more careful about their guests requests. 3. I used valet parking service. They parked the car somewhere outside. That day there were a few drops of rain followed by African dust, and when they returned the car it was veeeery dirty.

My recent stay at Hotel Negresco in Nice was nothing short of magical, and a large part of that was thanks to the exceptional concierge team. Everything, a perfect position in the sea front with easy access to the area for beach, restaurants, walking around, catching the train etc. Beautiful historic building, characterful and amazing with all the art and sculpture. The new Spa is stunning. Staff were great, professional and yet friendly and welcoming. We loved it! We intend to return.

A wonderful hotel with recently renovated rooms! Old meets new in a very tasteful yet original way! Wonderful restaurants! There's hotel lobby and rooms are art galleries that you can stay in! There's hotel hotel rooms are large and the side sea views are amazing! The beach club restaurant was very nice! The staff and concierge are very helpful! The room has outside automatic shutters that keep the room nice and dark! Good sound proofing! Loved the unique elevator! The Spa was amazing and modern! The snow machine by the saunas was a surprise as was the amazing pool!

Just a small gripe is the mattress felt a little hard and uncomfortable, not individual springs. -but the pillows were excellent.

Historic and iconic building, very friendly staff

In a seaside hotel where one room is 900 euro, asking extra 45 euro for using a sunbed is not nice. Plus this was not informed about this amount while booking. The hotel should change this policy. Using swimming facility should be free for all hotel guests. It was one of the reasons I chose to stay (and pay a very expensive accomodation fee) in this hotel.

rooms need renovation chipped furniture and painting you cant be sure what exactly room you will get, as they have them in very different style and most of them are not reflected on photos contemporary art object are interesting, but they distract from the overall classical style not a lot of bathroom vanities, expected to see tooth brush at least shampoo and shower gel are glued to the high wall and if youre taking bath, its not comfortable to get up every time you need the shampoo, etc hotel is currently in facade renovation mode and sounds of work are pretty loud
