The people were exceptional (namely, Leonardo, Mariel, Luis, Leti [or Leticia], Jaciel & Andrés for Marriott, plus Carlos with MTS) & even 2 of the above remebered my husband's name to greet him on a couple occasions (he is a Strategic Mgt consultant, so he knew the value of that as a guest -- & to Marriott -- plus appreciated the humanizing gesture, as he made a point to remember all of their names & greet them w/it every time we crossed paths).

Lack of a hot tub/spa on roof by pool; poor maintenance of a couple items -- one a mis-installed locking mechanism (3 years ago when bldg built!) on the balcony door we needed fixed immediately to sleep safely, no bathtub nor exhaust fan in bathroom, leaky shower drain install that sent water under our laminated-wood flooring in our kitchen/entrance (room 250; we never told them because we would have changed hotels rather than pack our stuff to change rooms or have their maintenance crew need to invade our privacy & holiday again!) & lack of a wake-up call we requested for our final morning to prepare for departure on time.

The location was good for our needs. We had our own car, and it was easy to get to all the places we wanted without fighting the worst of the traffic. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. The parking was good, and the staff was very helpful. We will probably return now that we know how to control the air-con! The friends we went with have been many times, which says something.

The air-con controls are odd. You can't control the temperature from the room but have to phone reception, which didn't always work. The breakfast was okay, but the choice was Mexican or Mexican.

Buffet was fine.

I couldn’t take anything from the buffet to the room for my wife. She was mobility issues in the morning. Bringing food and a tea helps.

Breakfast was good chilaquiles was my top 10.. but the room itself was on bad condition (bed legs was broken,toilet paper hanger was falling off, the water they offer was open and when me arrive the refrigerator got a paper note with a another family's name.. got me thinking probably didnt check before ..) anything else was okay! big room ..near xcaret parks too.

The location is very convenient for us (visiting family while staying close to the city center. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the mattress is very good, and you feel safe. The people at the front desk is friendly.

The breakfast wasn't that good still not bad for 1 or few more days. Anyway, I have to say that more personnel at the restaurant look stress and aren't helpful - I have the impression that are short staffed.

The location was excellent, very close to everything we needed to do.

Unfortunately during the last two nights there due to the heavy rain overnight, water started to leak into our room.

Comfortable and spacious rooms, well located to take the tours or going to 5th Avenue, great value for money

Breakfast could improve (not expecting a resort variety but quality could be better). Fridge was a bit noisy. Shower could change to “telephone”

Very high standard hotel with big and clean rooms, free parking, solid swimming pool on roof. Good breakfast

Location is not ideal. But we had a car and it was a great starting point for Xplor and other parks on playa del carmen.

The place is clean.

The location, while being about 10 minutes walk to Centro maya, doesn't have a lot of dining options.

Nothing really we have a little issue with the hot water but it was fixed right away after we reported it.
