For $70/night, I was not expecting more than a relatively safe place to sleep. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and renovations. It was comparable to a Days Inn or similar hotel that would cost double. I had no problem with the staff, as some people have mentioned, and the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. I didn't get to do any of the breakfasts, but they looked good! I loved how close I was to downtown and it was a way more affordable option than my convention hotel!

For this price point, I have no complaints!

the front desk was so understanding, I didn’t have a physical card but had cash and the front desk worked with me because they needed some sort of payment, they were happy to take my cash as a deposit and charged the card on file when we left, the next morning they handed me my cash back with no issues, the bathroom’s are really modernized and had a lot of good lighting and mirror space

everything was great, I would just recommended having your physical card, I’m used to paying everything by phone and tap which was my mistake

Stylish and friendly. Well-cared for property. Attentive and responsive staff. The room was clean and pleasant, and well-appointed. The breakfast was very good.

Personally, I wished the mattresses were firmer. Wife moved to the 2nd bed in the middle of the night which helped a lot because with both of us sharing one bed, we tended to sink into the soft middle together. It's an older motel, with some of the shortcomings of older motels, but very elegantly remodeled. When we return, and we will definitely return, we'll ask for a 2nd floor room and two beds. I hope this venture is a huge success for the new owners. ****EDIT**** On our second visit, we tried a different room and found the beds to be firmer. I have upgraded the comfort factor to reflect this. UBH tops my list of mid-priced hotels. It's a great value.

Rooms were revamped to modern standards, clean with comfortable beds. Easy to get too & from the downtown & surrounding areas/cities. Breakfast was simple but decent for my purposes.

Nothing really, though others booking this property may prefer guest rooms doors versus open like a motel as this one is. It was on a busy street but security wasn't an issue for me as parking lot brightly lit & easy to access all rooms from the lot.

The rooms are very large, comfortable and well appointed. It has a huge bathroom too. I like the style of the 1950s motel too, where you can drive up to your room. The staff was super kind and friendly too. The best part was the price. It was super affordable too.

The area is not pretty, it’s on a highway and next to a trailer lot . It’s not dangerous, just not very pretty. Also the beds were very very soft. I like them to have more support.

Stayed for one night for a birthday celebration and the location was perfect, wouldn’t recommend walking if you aren’t familiar with Greenville, but the Uber ride is short. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It’s obviously an old location, but they’ve redone the bathrooms and added some small touches to modernize the rooms. My only complaint is that the towels are small and most of them were stained from prior uses. They seemed clean, just old.

Great stay at an affordable price. The gentleman in the office was always pleasant. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Loved the spacious bathroom with the walk in shower. Plenty of counter space at the bathroom sink, and a full length mirror as well. Location was great for all that we had planned. The breakfast was more than I expected with plenty of options. You had hot eggs, sausage, biscuits n gravy, make your own waffle or cinnamon rolls, then you had 3 different cereal options, fruit, pastries, yogurt, etc. There is also a nice covered outside area to enjoy your breakfast as well if you're like me and enjoy eating outside. The only downfall is they keep that door locked from the outside, so you have to walk back around to the front door if you want to go back in to the breakfast area for a refill. Overall, I was very pleased with the value for the cost.

The only thing I didn't like about our stay was the low water pressure.

The beds were comfortable and it was a nice shower. The price was very competitive for proximity to downtown.

Nothing can be done about this, but the location was hard to get in and out of. The parking lot is a little tight and traffic is heavy most of the day. Probably would find a way to insulate rooms from sound better somehow. Maybe better doors or windows? The loud sound of the traffic on the road outside was almost unbearable when trying to sleep or even watch TV in the evening. The property could have a bigger sign or facelift to make it look more like a motel.

Didn't take advantage of the breakfast. The facility is tastefully designed, charming, very clean, great location, and the service was perfect.

The only reason I gave a 9 out 10 rating was the mattresses were a little soft. That's highly subjective, I realize. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend UBH to anyone traveling on a budget and looking for an outstanding value.

Don’t let the outside fool you. The hotel rooms were very nice! This is the cheapest hotel within walking distance of downtown. Don’t expect the Ritz obviously. But the mini fridge is the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. There’s also a microwave, coffee maker, iron, and a hair dryer.

I did stay here during the winter time, so I can’t speak for how the property is during summer. Also there was no safe in the room. But there’s plenty of decor/furniture to hide your valuables if you want to be smart about it.
