Cosy country pub. Staff have exceptional customer service standards. Nothing is a bother at all. Bedding and towels lovely bright clean & white. Coffee tray and water nice extra touch in the rooms. Food in restaurant wonderful. We missed cooked breakfast both mornings and staff offered alternatives each time which was very kind.

We stayed in room 15. Room is lovely. However be aware security light in room is bright and some generator below bedroom window does create noise on and off throughout the night. If you are a good sleeper neither of these aspect will impact on your stay 🤣

The pub is lovely. The choice of food, including both a British and Indian menu, is great. It’s characterful inside with loads of cosy corners to tuck yourself away, while the outside has well-spaced tables and a lovely glass cube that you can sit inside too. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfy and the shower is nice. There’s a lot of parking too. We got a good price deal.

There was a couple of coach loads in for a meal. It didn’t impact the speed of our order (as they were nearly done) or where we were sitting outside, but I wonder if it may have been slower or felt more impersonal if you’d been sitting in the same room as them earlier in evening.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food, especially the breakfasts, were amazing.

I know they were the hottest days of the year when we stayed and we were eventually provided with an oscillating fan but we really could have done with air conditioning. Also the mattress in room 10 is very tired. Luckily we were sleeping on top of the duvet due to the heat. Finally, there was some sort of extractor fan running at various times. We were told it would not run later than 2100 but on several occasions I heard (and felt) it running long after 2300.

All staff friendly and helpful. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Bedrooms tastefully ‘modernised’. Nice to have real roses on the restaurant tables and real plants in the bedrooms! The Inn itself was quaint. Menu in restaurant offered good range and choice of food ; tasty and reasonably priced. We very much enjoyed our stay and will return. Parking was provided; there were plenty of spaces. Access to Stratford easy- we used Uber taxis a couple of times- cheaper than parking all day in Stratford and easy way to get to/from theatre. Cost of accommodation also very reasonable, particularly when compared with Stratford Upon Avon.

Stair access to upstairs rooms would be difficult for some, but it’s an old , historic inn, so difficult to do anything to improve.

Absolute gem of a place. So pleased to have discovered it and would certainly stay again. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. Lovely varied menu and absolutely gorgeous food. Breakfast was lovely too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, big shout out to Stefan who was fabulous as well as the 2 young ladies who served us in the restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere. Live music in the bar finished off a great evening.

Not a dislike but too late for me to request anything to help but the room was so warm during the night that I didn’t get a good night sleep. If (when) we visit again I will definitely request if a fan was available.

The pub was very accessible from the A46 and easy to find. There was a warm welcome from the staff and everything was very clean. The pub has a great atmosphere and the room was spacious with a modern bathroom and quality furnishings. There was an extensive menu for the evening meal. There was fruit juice, yoghurt, cereal and hot drinks for breakfast and a full English with toast. Perfect. This was so much better than staying in a chain hotel and much better value.

There was nothing to dislike

Lovely rooms, clean with everything you need on a short stay. The restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. I even got a free upgrade to a larger room which was a lovely surprise. The food was delish, especially the duck! And at breakfast I was offered plain yoghurt when the manager saw me eyeing the flavoured yoghurts ingredients 😂, I was very appreciative of that.

This is probably just a personal thing, but the bed and pillows were slightly too hard for me.

Off the beaten track, lovely, and cosy. Food is really good and they have a great selection of drinks. The wifi was good and is essential. The rooms are modern and well furnished. Check in/out process was easy and straight forward.

Breakfast options. I got the impression that they don't like making anything other than a full English and is an inconvenience. The matress in our room was particularly uncomfortable. Some staff were very impersonal on this visit, on previous stays we were made to feel welcome. This time was very transactional.

Everything was first class ..the room the service and food were exceptional .. staff were attentive and caring and couldn't do enough to help all ..

The only downside was the unprecedented heat and with only a small fan and no air con made it so uncomfortable in the room ... just to be clear this is not to be taken as criticism... but maybe as to look at the situation if a hot spell occurs again especially the rooms that have the most sun when it moves around to car parking area

The place has been modernized, and the rooms are comfortable. It is great to have toiletries provided and large towels. The shower is good and of decent size. I really enjoyed the excellent included breakfast and having the restaurant and was very handy.

There isn't a ceiling fan or aircon, so on very warm days, the room is hard to cool down. I would suggest earplugs if you're sensitive to road noise. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep.
