Great location next to Loch Long, really easy to find, great price and the kettle was very clean unlike the place I stayed the night before. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. There was noticeable dust on top of the headboard. Curtains didn't fit the window well, it was hard to block out all the light at night and the lights from vehicles driving past shown brightly into the room. Bit noisier than expected though the night due to traffic noise, I would ask for a room at the back if I stayed again.

Room was really clean, tea and coffee facilities and biscuits!! Clean towels on each bed. Bathroom was beautiful, plenty hot water for a bath. Toiletries provided too. The views from some parts of the hotel are breathtaking. Didn't eat at hotel so cant comment on that. Have stayed here before and would stay again. Great stopover hotel for touring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and the Highlands.

Room was up lots of stairs right at the back of the hotel. The lift wasn't working so I struggled a bit with this. There was no view as room faced onto other rooms in the hotel. We were above a flat roof so it was quite noisy with the rain falling all night but that's Scotland for you. Check out time of 10am was a struggle but thats because we arrived late and were exhausted.

Great budget hotel. Fantastic value for money. Although building generally tired both my and friends double rooms were of a good standard, fresh and clean. Good powerful shower with instant hot water. Bed linen and towels clean and of good quality. Great view of the loch from the window. Plenty of on-site parking and a nice sitting area outside to enjoy a cold beer. We opted for an Indian meal for dinner and it didn't disappoint, Fantastic flavours, good quality meat and portion size to which was just right. The local 5.2% Pilsner (Loch Lomond Helles Glen) was an added bit of quality that was on offer on tap.. Great price too.. 👍

Slight niggle was the busy road in front of the hotel, a bit noisy in the room but being a motorcyclist i had earplugs to put in and to be fair my window was fully open during the night because of the blistering heatwave.

The location was amazing, the showers was hot with good power, very clean, staff were very helpful, I would use this hotel again, I also had a Loch view room. If you just want a cheap place to sleep whilst you go exploring, I would recommend this hotel but if you want something more up market I would look someplace else.

Parking can be an issue, unfortunately due to some issue in the kitchen we couldn't have meals so I can't comment on the food but some nice places to eat near by. It's also a dog friendly hotel(I'm a dog owner so I didn't mind) something to think about before booking.

The hotel exceeded my expectations after seeing reviews on trip advisor. Our room was clean (except for the hair on the bed when I pulled back the cover but that could have easily happened on making the bed). The room looked to have been refurbished with a new carpet and shower room. The views over the loch were amazing. First time I have had a toilet view over a loch!! Staff were extremely pleasant. My only gripe is that the stair carpet all the way up to the first floor was needing a good hoover. Up to the 2nd floor was fine. We had the continental breakfast and found this to be value for money.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location and close to local shops bars and restaurants. Amazing value for money. Room had everything needed for stay and cleaned to a high standard. I stayed on a Friday evening and they had entertainment on at the bar which was a really nice touch. Order food from the bar ... had steak pie and it was very good.

Unfortunately lifts weren't working but for the price of the room it was only a minor inconvenience. Also staff where happy to offer to help carry luggage and I didn't need to ask. Very helpful and really enjoyed my stay.

I think some of the reviews on here have been unfair. Anyone who regularly books hotels knows a £50 a night hotel is not going to be the same as, for example, a £100 a night hotel so let's keep.the reviews relative. Loch Long Hotel, given the price, far exceeded my expectations. I turned up early and my room was already ready. The room was modern (clearly been recently refurbished), had toiletries, was clean and had a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly. It was in a great location on the way to the Highland and right beside the Loch. Perfect!

I was really glad to have a dry room without any midges! The room was spacious and had its own private bathroom. Although the hotel itself is quite run-down, the bathroom had been partially renovated and was satisfyingly clean. Overall, everything was tidy, which made for a pleasant stay. I also appreciated being able to store my bicycle safely in the hallway.

The hotel is noticeably worn down. The elevator wasn’t working, and the sauna—although advertised—was out of service. I was told it's currently being renovated, but it was still disappointing.

Absolutely Amazing! The food was unbelievable! You could taste the burger before you bit it! The local ale on tap was delightful. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The sauna and hot tub are an excellent addition and free for guests to use. The location couldn't be better and the views of loch long are stunning! 100% book here, the price, the location, the staff, the facilities all of it are perfect and we will deffo be coming back! We loved it so much we had to stay an extra night, which of course the brilliant friendly staff accommodated 😁 fantastic place!

The room was fantastic for the price, much more modern that I anticipated. It was clean, though could maybe use a new lick of paint on the walls, but nothing major. It was warm and the duvet was very snug which was great for winter. Staff were wonderful. I booked only a few minutes before arriving and they had the room ready for me in 15 minutes, check in was very simple, couldn't have asked for anything more.

The only thing that could have been better is that the room felt like it didn't have a lot of privacy. The window (looking over to another part of the building with more rooms) was covered with a very thin, muslin-like curtain which could be seen through, and then 2 thick curtain pieces that weren't wide enough to cover the window. Altogether though, this didn't really impact on my stay, I still got a good sleep and it didn't keep me up.
