If you're looking for a hotel that doubles as a live-action circus, you've found your match! From the moment I stepped in, I thought I'd accidentally gate-crashed a gymnastics meet—kids were cartwheeling through the air with the grace of caffeinated squirrels, while the adults wandered around like they'd returned to their spiritual homeland. The bar staff? Lightning fast—service so quick I half-expected my drink to arrive before I even ordered it. As for the lift system… it's less "elevator" and more "adventure course." You go up to the second floor only to be sent down a flight of stairs onto a mysterious landing, then back up again. I told myself, if the fire alarm goes off, just leave me. Seems easier. The room? Clean and tidy, though the previous guest clearly thought the drawers were their personal time capsule. Easy to miss, of course—if you happen to be a cleaner with x-ray vision set to "off." Paper-thin walls meant that at midnight, my neighbors (in room 217, for those keeping score) gave me a front-row seat to their drunken soap opera. At one point, I thought they’d strolled into *my* room for Act Two. Things finally went quiet… until they got a phone call and started arguing with *them* as well. A true multi-platform drama. Sleep? Optional. But breakfast was the hero of the trip: cereals galore, a proper English fry-up, and toast with tea or coffee. A feast fit for a sleep-deprived zombie. Bonus: the TV in my room works brilliantly, as my unneighborly neighbors discovered when I cranked it up to maximum volume in my own little act of passive-aggressive revenge. The staff? Absolute legends—polite, helpful, and ready to apologize for things way out of their control. Blackpool may be famous for its tower, but this hotel deserves its own attraction status for sheer entertainment value alone. Bravo! 🎭 The hotel proved to be an excellent choice for families with children.
No, all sarcasm aside. I loved that kids could be kids, and parents didn't have to suppress them from having engery bouts. But being there with my 15 yr old I can honestly say, I'm so glad all mine are grown up. Lol I really hope all those dancing which where staying at the hotel,as there was alot of comps, (we was there for UDO) did well, and we bet you looked amazing. I honestly do not know where you find the energy. X

The staff were brilliant, all of them were attentive and smiley especially Julie on reception and I think it was her nephew sorry can’t remember his name but he was so friendly and lovely on reception and especially in the dining room serving breakfast, the breakfast was the best, so tasty and the fried eggs were perfect, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, if u asked for anything to be replenished it was done immediately, cannot fault it.
The beds were not very comfy, mattress lumpy & bumpy, but the noise was awful, there were lots of kids, teenagers running around the corridors, in the room next door to us they were playing music, it seemed to be where a few were congregating, eating Mac Donald’s and generally having a good time with no thought to anyone else, we asked them to please keep the noise down as it was 1am and this had been going on for some time, there were kids playing knock a door run and for these reasons I probably wouldn’t stay again which is such a shame because all of the staff are amazing

Excellent customer service Free breakfast lovely and well presented by staff Property clean throughout
Upon arrival tv did not work but thanks to bartender contacting their engineer it was working again by the evening The fire alarm went off at 1.30am in the morning for two minutes. No sign of any staff members in the bedroom areas to assist in what turned out to be a false alarm. Fire alarm procedure on back of bedroom door as usual.

The room was kept clean and their lobby/hall was spacious comparing to the ones I have seen around that area. In general, everything was okay except for the room was really warm because of the heat wave during that week in Blackpool.
Since the heatwave in Blackpool had happened during our stay, the room was really warm and the hotel couldnt provide a fan or cooler at all. All else was fine except for this.

We love the breakfast so YUMMY! was really gopd start of the day. . .staffs are so friendly, there are no housekeeping but they are really helpful if you need somwthing to fix in the room. The hotel lobby was so welcoming and the location is just a walk away from the main events.cheers to all! Dislike: they need to upgrade the shower, the sink, the bin since they dont have housekeeping might put a big bin and store plastic for the rabish specially in the room bathroom. Cups in the room and dinning needs to be check for cleanliness. Anyway The Lawton is the best i can say i can stay compared to other hotels nearby. If you just sleep at night and go around in the morning, this hotel is suits you. .Cheers Lawton. Its time for you to upgrade!

Good breakfast Large room Easy parking Friendly and helpful staff Comfortable beds, slept great. Check in was easy and efficient, Nicola was really helpful, gave us the info we needed and directed us to our parking (less than a minute from the hotel). The guy on night duty was also very helpful and we felt very welcome. Will definately stay there on our next visit.
Room in need of some TLC but for the price its worth the trade off. It isnt for those that like to pick fault with their room.
