The staff are so amazing they made us feel like we was at home we have made some life long friends with the staff Garry and Niki was so helpful in every way I’d recommend this hotel to anyone great value for money very clean place I will be staying here every time we visit Blackpool finally just want to thank Garry and Niki for your great hospitality Amazing people

Absolutely nothing to dislike about the place

When first arriving the lady running the Merlin greeted us & she was so friendly, helped us find parking, showed us around & took us to our room, the lady mentioned how she hadn’t had the hotel long & how she was doing bits to improve it & the room we had featured a brand new bed & mattress, which may I add was ridiculously comfortable, the bedding was clean & fresh, the quilt was plump & so were the pillows, for what you pay to stay here I would definitely say it is immense value, the bathrooms all had toilet paper & showering facilities, slept straight through the night with no disturbances, there was a lovely seating area out the front which you can see is well taken care of! Amazing stay, lovely friendly welcoming people I would definitely stay again!

Yes this is a budget hotel so don't expect the ritz, how can you complain with 2 rooms for 5 of us for just over £200 in half term, for 5 nights. The place was clean and the best quilts I've ever seen anywhere before, Yes it would be nice with a lick of paint, change of furniture ect but the price would be more, All in all great location, great staff, clean & comfortable, great price, Yes I was abit nervous with reviews, but don't be, it's a place to sleep and shower and clean One of our room didn't have towels but when asked for some, they were brought to us Tv in room was working, tea and coffee also. Thanks guys, yes we would stay again

We was in room 6 one unit is about falling to bits, easy fix, we know they will get round to it or replace Bathroom door didn't close fully but did stay closed, Main door on room was really tight, you have to slam to shut, not to hard but to make sure and push/pull to open, just needs a plain at some point, again though how can you complain for the price

Lovely place to stay great location, the owners very nice people, very welcoming, loved the fact the owner welcomes anyone no matter what and she told us she's trained in autism, felt instantly at ease with my own children as they are on the spectrum and adhd felt more relaxed then in myself knowing she would understand when there being bit boisterous/loud.. can't fault the place at all would stay again.

Can't fault the place, apart from the one fact of the television not working properly only the radio channels, kids was a bit disappointed they couldn't watch something when we got back to the hotel... maybe it was a signal problem like some hotels which can be a common issue with Blackpool which we've seen a few Times

Garry, Nicky and all the staff we're very friendly and welcoming and made my stay very comfortable. All very down-to-earth, decent folks. Very decent sized rooms, which are currently being renovated to a high standard. The on-site bar is very cosy and well kept with plenty on offer for reasonable prices. Overall, a brilliant, affordable place to stay and explore what Blackpool has to offer. I look forward to a return visit in the near future. Thanks again guys! ☺️

A few issues with electrics, water leak and heating however, this was dealt with swiftly.

Down staying for a couple of nights with my nephew. Had a fantastic stay. All of the staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Our room was spotless, beds clean and had everything we needed. The bar downstairs with the pool table was ideal, I could drink (cheap) and the nephew enjoyed playing pool with the bosses son and another staff member. The owners are working hard in the hotel and it's nice to see. I for sure will be booking back up when I'm coming back down and look forward to seeing yous all again.

I can't complain about anything.

Very clean fresh smell as u walked in friendly staff very big on making sure you are happy and comfortable very understanding. We were in 2rooms and had an issue with tv in one of our rooms so we were moved to a large family room together downstairs which made it easier for my dad to get in and out. Always very polite and chatty when you saw them child friendly offered to put movies on for my children made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I suffer with anxiety and they made me feel so at ease and were very understanding Thank you merlin hotel

Staff were brilliant, couldn't fault them, my kids absolutely had a great time and my little girl was in her element. Bar area and pool table was great, good prices on drinks and free kids drinks, sugar dummies bought for both my girls. New owners are doing their best to do the hotel up, the double bed in our room was super comfy and toilet in the room very convenient for the kids. Great stay.

The room was a little cramped, and could do with redecorating but I know the owners are getting round to doing the hotel up.

I Stayed in room number 7, it was a very nice and comfy bed, nice quilt, bedding and comfy pillows, I slept very very well. I have stayed in this room previously in the past but this time it was a lot more comfy, I can tell management have made a lot of positive changes since they took over a few month ago. Gary the manager is a great host and is very welcoming when you arrive, there is also a bar and a pool table in the basement. The Location is fantastic as your within 5 minute walk to the sea front. Overall am pleased with my recent visit and will be back in the near future, (room 5 is also a great room but honestly the bed isn't as comfy as room 7!) thank you for another pleasant stay Gary 😊

The Shower hose holder needs attention but I managed to make it hold up for me and still had a good shower.

The managers, nicki and Gary are so lovely. Anything we needed, they sorted out and was very accommodating. Daz, one of the workers, was very helpful. My daughter drew him a picture and he has put it in the bar area for next time when we stay. There is a bar area with a pool table which the kids love. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you so much

Only downside no parking. But there is a car park and short walk from the hotel and was only £27 for 3 days.
