Borrowfield lodge is a delight. Great location, 3 clean, beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms. Tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk, fridge and kettle. Luxurious accommodation. We had only booked one night for the two of us and we were staying with friends elsewhere in Derby for the following three nights. This turned out to be appalling accommodation so we left, spoke to the host at Borrowfield and he was able to accommodate us and our friends for the three nights! It felt like we were ‘coming home’. Our friends loved it also.

Everything was perfect

The location is quiet and peaceful, nice peaceful cottage type feel place to stay. Owner is 10/10 with customer service always on hand to support his customers.

It was only the gate to get in, it’s definitely a good system in place but you need to wait for that gate to fully open one door is really slow and if it is not fully open it will close on you and you have to start the whole process again. This was only the case for driving out, so patience is needed.

Good location if you're exploring around Derby. Very secure property and Nigel the owner really ensured we could safely access the building with excellent instructions. Both the rooms were lovely. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay and a great selection of hot drinks and water which was really welcomed. Very comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom. Plenty of parking also.

Easy parking, place was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. Bathrobes were provided. The video instructions were helpful. The location was convenient, being a short drive away from both Derby and Nottingham.

You could hear other guests talking loudly, which probably can't be avoided in a house. The bathroom was separate to the room, but private.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation.The space was incredibly spacious and squeaky clean. Despite being located on a busy road, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was inside, perfect for a good night's sleep. The host was also excellent in providing plenty of helpful information both online and in a detailed welcome guide.

We did not have breakfast as we had to leave early to start working. The room was very large and well furnished with plenty of storage space. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional - plenty of space, good water pressure and the choice between a walk-in shower or a separate bath was appreciated. I liked the little touch of a small bag with individual soaps and shampoos - also it's the first place we've stayed in that had enough hangars!

My wife prefers a soft pillow but we suspect she may be the only person in the UK that expects one in hotels - otherwise no complaints.

Quiet and secluded our room was in a beautiful building. Private gate with easy access and clear instructions from owner. Room was large with a beautiful ensuite including a free standing bath and large shower. Bed and pillows very comfortable and good tea/coffee and bathroom accessories

Nothing to dislike, will definitely visit again.

There was no breakfast attached to this booking.The accommodation was spacious, very clean with modern fixtures and fittings. There was a communal living and dining room where you could very comfortably sit and enjoy your meal.

Really nice accommodation, very clean and well equipped with secure private parking and fast WiFi. Good communication with owner and easy check-in/entry. Close to the M1 with a big Asda for fuel and supplies nearby, so altogether a great place to stay.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Nigel, owner, is an a absolute star and always went the extra distance to ensure we were properly looked after, help with everything he could. Room was lovely and clean, facilities were spot on, bed was extremely comfy, and the parking was safe and secure. We were coming and going at all manner of hours, yet the property was always quiet and peaceful.
