A great Inn stay which included off street parking a stones throw from Murreyfield rugby stadium. Set on a busy street so traffic noise could bother some people but we are used to it so not a problem for us, and it gets noisy in the bar as it’s a popular local pub. Bus stop is a two minute walk and the buses run every ten minutes. Room was large and comfortable, food was good and staff were all great. For exploring Edinburgh it’s a great location.

The room could have done with a bit of a redecorate in places as getting a bit shabby. Bear in mind the proximity to the stadium if there is a game on it will be extremely busy and noisy one would imagine

The staff were amazing, very helpful and very friendly The food was really good. Well made, and well presented. Very tasty and a good variety, I'm vegetarian, and there were a few choices for me.

The hotel rooms are in desperate need of a revamp, carpets worn, bathroom looks grotty but was actually clean, the fan and shower were both very noisy, the shower was very good (despite the noise) it did take a while to get hot water in the sink. The big thing from a safety point is that the glass tops on the side tables and dressing table aren't fastened down and slide easily, which could cause an accident.

Coffee and Tea Facilities in room ✅️✅️ Big Towels ✅️✅️ Decent Shower ✅️✅️ Loved the supply of tea and coffee. There is no need to find anyone as there is not enough. They even had mugs !! A shower that blasts (if a bit noisey) is a must along with towels that I can actually wrap around my body and not have to hold closed - both available Breakfast - fresh, perfectly cooked and scrummy Added bonus of multiple dogs in the bar in the evening, perfect to replace the dogs you have left behind for the night. Proximity to Murrayfield Pre match atmosphere

Carpark is not available during international rugby matches, would be beneficial to add this to hotel description of suggested places to park.

The property was very easy to find ,it is directly opposite Murrayfield Stadium and located on a main thoroughfare with very visible signage.Parking spaces were provided in the front of the property . Ideal place to relax after a journey or during your stay and have refreshments .A good choice of beers are available on tap and the food on the menu is made with the highest quality ingredients.Kieran & Jack provided great service during my visit and they were very knowledgeable of the local area and provided accurate information.of amenities that were available and transport into the city centre which is just a short bus ride away .The breakfast was great and it is more than enough to get you through to dinner time. I would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Kieran & Jack for providing an excellent service.

There is nothing that I disliked about this property .

Location good for travelling in and out of city, decor was dated but the main thing, comfortable and clean and fine for the price. Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and both evening meal and breakfast very good. We would be happy to stay again.

It's a beautiful building, just a little attention to detail in the room would transform it (curtain pole and curtains past their best, chair in our room was comfy but worn) Sorry to criticise but it could be a stunning room with not a lot of expense

Wonderful old property in a good location, either for Murrayfield Stadium or City Centre, with excellent bus links to the city, train stations and airport. Good beer in the public bar and a friendly and attentive team of staff, despite being extremely busy with it being a 6 Nations weekend. The manager, Carol, was great and even had our room ready early. We’d have no hesitation in booking again, should the need arise. Breakfast was excellent.

Nothing. The toilet seat in our room was a little loose, but other than that, all was lovely.

Staying in room #1 above a quaint bar and restaurant was like a step back in time. My room overlooked the back and I didnt hear any noises from below. Being a mile from the Haymarket station was a nice walk. The airport shuttle bus has a stop very close so this is a great option for those early flights. The restaurant and bar are nice and very convenient. Deffinitely worth paying for breakfast there since no other options seemed close. Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was efficirnt and the biggest bath towels Ive ever seen. Bed was comfortable.

Room #1 was very warm. In fact, the window was up a bit when i arrived and I never shut it.

comfy bed in a small room which along with the ensuite is beginning to look a little tired. kettle, iron and small tv in the room. good restaurant and bar downstairs. bus stop nearby to get into the centre

there are only 6 parking places for patrons. 3 of these are marked for use of electric vehicles only not a single electric car in site and these spaces were empty the whole time. if I'm being fair these spaces were probably given to an external company to put on the chargers. however had i not gotten parked i would have ignored the signs

Good from start to finish got the soup and bread wen arrived as we where cold and it done the trick room clean and tidy booked some Amazing places to vist and was good as bus stop 2 mins walk also shop 5 min walk very handy 😀 room clean and tidy bed very comfy had one drink in bar people seemed friendly had music on but having room above bar didn't hear it in our room so 10 out a 10 from us

Light shades above bed could have done with a we feather dust but nothing to worry about 🫠

We originally didn’t book for breakfast as we thought we’d end up out and about but decided to go for it, and we’re so glad we did! The “build your breakfast” option was great and meant we didn’t waste anything. It was really well cooked and you could tell everything was freshly made. Also, the staff were lovely, and helpful with directions. It helped when it started raining for our zoo trip and they lent us an umbrella for the day! We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night of our stay and the food was really lovely. Definitely worth the price. The room was delightful, lovely size for two people and kept nice and warm in the winter month. We would definitely stay here again.
