I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm and welcoming attitude stood out, making me feel right at home. Every member of the team was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The service at the hotel was nothing short of amazing. The front desk staff were efficient and helpful, housekeeping maintained the room impeccably, and any requests were promptly addressed with a smile. The room was spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from my room was breathtaking. Overall, the Clayton Hotel provided an outstanding stay, primarily due to the incredible staff and their dedication to excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Glasgow. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable.

We have been staying here whenever we visit Glasgow as it is central
It is now mainly corporate meetings/training venue so full of working people the bar area now doubles as a meeting place laptops loud chatter not a comfortable relaxed place to sit and have a cocktail and chat. We always had room service but this visit on top of the menu price it’s a £5 charge to bring the card machine up as they don’t take cash. There also is a Spanish gentleman behind reception who is scary he needs to maybe learn customer service and smile.

I loved the area the property was in. Very close to the train station so you can walk. Next to the city centre which is literally around the corner. Very beautiful inside. We don’t drink but the bar area was very nice. Rooms were very nice and comfortable beds. Overall had a great time and would stay again if the breakfast service was a little better. But staff were lovely. We were on the 9th floor which you could see some of the river Clyde from. The city is gorgeous at night. Loved Scotland!
I didn’t like the slowness of the breakfast service. Staff was nice but things were taking 20+ minutes to be replaced which I have not had at other hotels. The bathroom fans are very slow which can be a little annoying.

Location, staff, and room were really lovely. Only disappointment was the lack of decaffeinated tea and coffee. First time I’ve stayed in a hotel that hasn’t had decaffeinated sachets in the room or had the option of decaff coffee or tea at breakfast. Room staff did try to find some sachets but couldn’t find any. The first morning when I requested it at breakfast it was brought from the bar but arrived after I’d finished breakfast. We bought our own from the supermarket in the end. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Really should have decaff tea and/coffee available, both in rooms and at breakfast.

The younger gentlemen in reception were very kind and lovely to speak with. Breakfast food was very tasty, rooms were clean and bar staff was nice as well (very nice drinks). Great view over the river!
My mum who stayed with me had a birthday and upon arrival I requested with my booking to maybe receive a card from the hotel or a candle at breakfast to show her it’s a special day, but nothing was done. Also she had a simple request from reception and that was to get a hotel pen, and she was told no by a lady at the desk. Later a gentleman was nice enough to give one to her after asking again, but such a simple thing to be said no to on her birthday after getting zero kind wishes was shocking. Also we didn’t end up eating breakfast on the last day since we left so early, would’ve been nice to get our money back for that. But that one is okay, my mistake also for not thinking my plans through well enough or asking for a takeaway early breakfast box.

Very friendly staff throughout, from initial check-in onwards, indicating, I would say, a happy team. Room was comfortable, though functional, a good that we were able to open a window for fresh air in the night as the air-con can be a bit harsh. All was very clean. The Hotel's location is excellent for Glasgow Central Station and for the endless supply of pubs and restaurants in the streets behind. Breakfast selection plentiful and tasty; actually the best thick bacon I've had for ages! We would certainly stay again and not hesitate to recommend to others.
Only two minor beefs. A hotel of such standing should strive to supply better quality toilet paper, and secondly, nothing against the modern preference for self-service breakfasts (which was very good here, to be fair,) however with the plethora of staff that were available it would be a nicer touch to have a pot of steaming tea personally brought to one's table. A chance to reintroduce a touch of old-fashioned service there Mr, Clayton.

We were welcomed the minute we arrived. Everyone we spoke to was warm, happy, helpful, and just couldn't do enough. Our room was wonderful, looking out over the Clyde River, spacious, modern with everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Lovely tea tray with tunnock caramel wafers, delicious 😋 a very nice touch! Plenty of tea/coffee, etc. More if you needed it. Modern bathroom , super shower & lovely toiletries (shower gel, shampoo & handwash) Breakfast was fabulous 👌 Plenty of choice, cooked, cold, cereals, fruit, pastries, yoghurts breads. All you could ever need! Plus, if you wanted poached eggs., porridge, this would be taken care of. Staff - lovely All the staff were really spot on. It's also in an excellent position, close to shops, pubs, restaurants, citysightseeing buses, and taxis are readily available if you need to go further afield. Three friends visiting Glasgow couldn't be happier. Would definitely recommend it, and we will definitely return 👍 👌 😀 😊 10/10 🌟
Ww came back late one day, and our room hadn't been refreshed. However! It was very quickly rectified as nothing was too much trouble. 10/10

I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Clayton Hotels. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room (Room 201) was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
However, I was slightly disappointed with the room's view. On Booking.com, the pictures showed a room facing the outside bridge area, but the actual room I stayed in faced the opposite side, overlooking a block of flats. While this wasn’t a huge issue, it would have been nice to have the room as pictured. Aside from that, everything was great—location was convenient, and breakfast had a nice variety. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel itself is genuinely just beautiful gives you that 5 star feeling well looked after and clean the room was just perfect along with a wee side view of outside bonus having a window that slightly opens along with air con pretty neat The staff couldnt have been any nicer genuinely spot on folk the bar man especially can make a good cocktail Couldn't fault your beds either super comfy next time ill be staying longer and probably in an Executive room
The only issue was and if iam honest wasn't even bad I forgot to mention the sink in the bathroom the water drains very slowly so there might be a blockage only noticed when I was brushing my teeth the water took ages to drain. Its an easy fix

Amazing location - central Glasgow with lots of places to park nearby (used Q-Park which was recommended by the hotel and they even provided a discount code). It was easy to check in and check out, and I was delighted to discover that there was a complimentary fitness suite. Beautifully decorated hotel with great bar and lounge areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and spacious. What more could you want?
The room was quite hot. There was a thermostat and we managed to turn fans and air con on but it seemed to time out quickly.
