Lovely staff from beginning to end, attentive & welcoming and the food was fab 👌 The garden is beautiful and location great.
The room I was allocated is in need of a bit of tlc. A lick of paint, old furniture sanded to remove stains/marks. The bathroom could do with modernising or either new white silicone around the bathtub, bath cracks repaired and a stopper in the sink as it was black in areas. The windows are single glazed, (likely a listed building?) damp and rotten in areas. Repaired and painted these would look great. There was a persistent noise throughout the night I think a gas or oil central heating boiler kicking in which interrupted my sleep.

Everything was wonderful for our stay on the way to friends at Glenelg. Breakfast was excellent and exceeded expectations, room was so comfortable and Graeme and Jade were so wonderful friendly and welcoming . We loved it so much we decided to stay again on our way back before flying home from Inverness. As we were returning guests, they kindly upgraded us to a most beautiful suite with its own reading room. We could not believe our luck to find such an amazing jewel of a place at such great value. We will definitely return and maybe even fly back to Inverness just to stay here and use as a base to visit the most beautiful, mesmerising scenery, with such historic value.
Nothing. Everything was tip-top!

A warm welcome from reception, who offered us coffee while our room was finished. Instantly felt at ease and that we would be taken care of. Our suite exceeded our expectations. The new bathroom with underfloor heating was spacious and well stocked with amenities. The water pressure was low, but the heat more than made up for it and the bed was very comfortable. Not forgetting to mention amazing views overlooking the gardens and beyond into Inverness. Spectacular! Breakfast is in an intimate room, and the menu had something for everyone. Don’t forget to pick up a pot of “Harvey’s highland honey” which is the most flavourful I have ever tasted. And completely sustainable.

Breakfast was gorgeous, deliciously fresh and excellent quality ingredients. Our room 'More' was very spacious, the mattress was a bit hard but still had a good night's sleep. The bathroom is lovely but for me, the bath was too high for me to get in and out safely. There was also damage to the external of the bath but my tall partner had no issues. The staff were all very welcoming and polite. The open fires in the two sitting rooms made for a cosy evening.
On a personal note, the evening main meal choices were very limiting - 2 fish choices, 1 duck leg, 1 beef stew option and 1 veggie option, none of which appealed to us (and on the expensive side £25+ for gnocchi). After spending a long day on the road travelling from South Wales, we found we had to go out and travel to find something to eat as not even a sandwich was available. The signing and lighting to the main car park was very poor and unclear. Bath too high for me to use.

Superb Value for money, room was large, clean and recently refurbished bathroom was amazing. Breakfast choice and quality was first class and the staff were very helpful in getting a high chair for our 2 year old. Location and grounds were first class and will definitely stay again. Beds were super comfy!
On arrival there were a lot of used dishes in the social sitting areas and empty drinks glasses lying on the bar as well as a couple of glasses outside the main hotel entrance. As a result we did not use the social areas on arrival - this was cleaned up up a few hours later. Some of the hotel could do with refurb as looks at bit tired (Carpet/Walls/Damaged furniture and Bedrooms) however was clean and all in all value for money. None of the above would put us off staying here

This is a lovely place. Old Scottish house in an idyllic location on Loch Ness just a few miles from Inverness. The Management were excellent. Everyone "chipped in" when things got busy. The Manager was helping the staff during busy periods. The food was lovely. The staff were friendly and professional. The price point was excellent making me feel I had a great valuse stay.
Common in the Highlands, not specific to this Hotel. So, a general comment on the internet. This is at the level of Thailand or Indonesia 20 years ago. Trying to watch a streamed movie is painful with constant buffering and the phone signal is worse. Scottish highlands needs infrastructure help.

Had a lovely overnight stay in one of the cottages. Family of five so we had to ask for an extra bed (which was £15 extra) and set up in corner of living toom which was fine. Didn't arrive in time for evening meal but breakfast was great with vegetarian options. while booking said continental breakfast, cooked breakfast was also included. we were attending a funeral at the nearby Crematorium the next day and the funeral reception was in the hotel and again food was lovely. Staff were helpful and attentive. Would definitely be back

Nice quiet hotel. Good breakfast quality. Didn't get to spend much time there due to work commitments but enjoyed what I saw of it. Loved the real fire in the lounge to sit around in the cold weather. Nice touch. Room was great, spacious and bed was extremely comfy. Good bar drink selection.
Not many staff around to be on hand for things, such as checking out or bar. But it's a small hotel and relaxed atmosphere so it's more of a what could we do to be better than a negativity.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, midway through a road trip of Scotland, to celebrate our honeymoon. We were particularly looking forward to our stay in Inverness and the hotel did not disappoint. They had upgraded us to the Executive Suite, it was fantastic. The guests we spoke to raved about their rooms too. Absolutely stunning house and gardens, cosy, warm, comfortable, clean, great food and lovely, professional, friendly staff. All the staff were impeccably turned out and had beautiful manners, very polite and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome and we met some lovely guests too. The sitting rooms with open fires really do invite you in to sit with a wine or coffee, relax and chat to other guests in a relaxed home from home atmosphere. It really did feel like we were staying in a country home rather than a hotel. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and the food was unreal, absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef and Co. Breakfast was fantastic too. Lots of choice from continental to home cooked. Must give a special shout out to Gabrielle!! He was wonderful, saw to every detail, very professional and attentive to our needs and made our stay feel extra special. The complimentary champers in our room was a very kind gesture. He knows his stuff!! Big thank you to everyone, they were all amazing and we will be back.
Just a niggle really, but watch the underfloor heating in the bathroom, it can get a bit hot, but nothing that standing on a towel can't fix. Also needs something to hang your clothes/ dressing gowns on in the bathroom.

My biggest impression was the warm and welcoming staff. They are attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The suite I was in was very comfortable and well appointed. I much enjoyed my evening meal and breakfast the following morning. Plenty of choice and delicious food, locally sourced. The setting is very quiet and peacful and I love the charm of an older building and the period features.
