Easy to find, and very clear instructions from our host for a self check-in. Breakfast was exceptional, very impressive for one person in the kitchen we couldn’t fault it. The room was comfortable and just spacious enough for somewhere to come back to after long days hiking/exploring. Although it is a big guest house, the contained rooms and staggered breakfasts meant it never felt cramped at all and we were lucky to not have any noise from other guests except from showers etc which is to be expected. Great walking links to Keswick via the railway walkway or the nearby bus stop if needed. Overall, a fantastic stay we would definitely recommend to any visitors of Keswick.

The en-suite was very small and although we were comfortable it would have been difficult for anyone larger or less physically able to use the facilities. Thankfully this did not impact our stay at all but would be worth considering before booking

Eldon was very helpful with good communication (both online and off), to assist with my friend and I who stayed there this weekend gone. Very comfortable single bed, a lovely spacious bathroom and a good breakfast to start the day off with. I'd recommend the place overall, especially for the price and I'd stay there again. Fairly quiet location considering it's on a main road and either a 15 - 20 mins walk into main town area or a 4 or 5 min bus ride with the bus stop just around the corner 👌🏼

The room was small and I'm a big guy, but it was a single room after all and still just about big enough. The bathroom was shared and on the first floor (I was on the second). But again, considering the price, it was all very reasonable.

Room was lovely. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Owner was friendly and cooked an excellent breakfast. The house rules feel like a lot to take in when you first arrive if you are tired, however they do make sense and everything ran smoothly.

**Cash only**. Says 'unforeseen circumstances', but it has clearly been cash only for some time based on other reviews. We were lucky that one of us had brought a debit card to get cash out to pay for it. We sometimes just travel with phones as means of payment. I didn't see any mention of cash only when I booked, so please be aware of this. Accessible parking is limited, so if you plan on leaving your car you will be asked to leave your car keys in your room. If this is something you don't like the idea of, then consider parking your car elsewhere. It is on a busy road so there's no on-road parking near house.

I recently stayed at a delightful B&B in the Lake District and couldn't have been more pleased. My room was incredibly comfortable, complete with a TV and tea-making facilities. The free parking was a real bonus, saving me both money and hassle. Each morning, I enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast that set me up perfectly for exploring the area. The location was ideal for discovering the region's stunning landscapes and charming villages. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming, offering great local tips that enhanced my stay. I found this B&B to be excellent value, providing a cozy home-away-from-home in a prime spot. It was the perfect base for my Lake District adventure.

The weather!

About 15mins walk from the middle of Keswick - a great garage about 5mins walk Super friendly host and very easy to communicate with about checking in as I was arriving a little later than normal Room was as expected good value for money given I booked less than 24 hours before arriving. Small single room was nice - TV - coffee etc and clean towels etc

Lovely friendly host breakfast was excellent and he is so well organised.breakfast ran like clockwork .guest house had a nice homely feeling and was warm .

The bed in our room was a rather uncomfortable.the host is aware and is going to attend to the problem . we had a hitch with parking but the host will rectify this on our next visit so not really a problem .

Eldon was an amazing host, very very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, lots to choose from, and very nicely home cooked! Highly recommended! The best advantage of the B&Bs is the homely vibe and the fact that you get to talking to other guests during your stay, share experiences and tips, and make new friends!

Great location. Host very helpful but not intrusive. Basic but had everything necessary and some lovely touches in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable , and the cooked breakfast was great.

If I am going to be really picky, I would say fresh boiling water is needed for tea at breakfast time.

Great breakfast ,I could order what I actually wanted and not what the proprietor thought I wanted.also it was clean cosy and quiet .The owner was great and couldn't do enough

A little to far out of keswick.about 20 minutes walking by road,then again about half that by the old railway path

Good location, lovely walk route into town and close to castlerigg stone circle. Eldon was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and set me up for the day. My one bed room was cosy and the bed was comfy. Great view from the front garden. Would stay again thanks!
