Excellent breakfast included in price of room. We dined in the restaurant evening time and had the best battered Haddock I have ever tasted in my life and my wife said the steak she ordered tasted absolutely divine. This hotel has to be one of the cleanest and most comfortable establishments we have ever stayed in. Compliments to management and staff for maintaining such a high level of perfection.
The change in the weather! We stayed one night and the weather when we first arrived was absolutely magnificent. However, next day was heavy rain. Management have taken our complaint onboard and are investigating with the appropriate authorities to see what can be done to prevent it happening again.

The food for dinner was exceptional. We haven't had such excellent meals at a hotel in years, or indeed anywhere. We ate at the Lodge three nights in a row and each meal was as good as the last. Fantastic value for first class cuisine. We don't really eat breakfast, but there was lots on offer and everyone staying seemed very happy with their breakfasts. Our room was small but well appointed and comfortable and the Lodge had a very lovely sitting room to relax in as well as excellent seating in the garden. Really liked having a fan in the bedroom as the weather was exceptionally hot when we stayed, but the fan was great for making a comfortable environment to sleep in. Lodge very quiet at night, even though it is just off the A591. Loved the fact that you could walk out of the garden and get to Bassenthwaite as well as other wonderful walks without using the car.
The only thing would be a few more hooks in the bedroom and bathroom to hang coats/towels/etc on.

The room was gorgeous, we were in room 7; amazing views, comfy huge bed. Supper was for one vegan and one veggie in the restaurant and we both said it was the best meal we've had out in years. Service superb on reception, at supper and again at breakfast. The breakfast was also fabulous and staff really friendly.
The room had a weird movement sensor on the bathroom light so my husband couldn't turn it on during the day when he wanted more light to shave but it turned on every time anyone went to the bathroom then stayed on which you really don't want if you've hopped up for a quick trip to the bathroom in the night. I'm baffled as to why it didn't just have a switch!

From the minute I arrived the welcome was great by Brett the manager, showed me the facilities then to my room. The hotel has a lovely aspect with a great patio area for drinks with stunning views, the restaurant is fantastic with big triple bi fold doors which lead out to the terrace. I have to say the food was also fantastic especially the signature Trio of Lamb :), breakfast was also great and a lovely choice, (the only thing I would say if you in a hurry breakfast is only served from 8.15) The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much. The rooms were tastefully decorated very quite and very clean. Overall a 10/10 for me and I will definitely be returning.

The location for this hotel is really good and its setting is beautiful. There are walking routes from the hotel including a lovely trail down to the lake that we did every evening. The restaurant is excellent, really delicious food - very fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked. The hotel had a very nice lounge area for relaxing after dinner.
Our room was rather small for 2 people. Really only space for the furniture and very little space move around. Also the wall between our room (room 4) and the room next door seemed rather thin and voices and TV could clearly be heard through the wall.

What a cosy hotel! We loved it from the moment we arrived. Our room was very small but had all comfort we were looking for. We spent the evening on the terrace watching the sunset with a glas of whiskey in our hands. Stunning views. The next morning we went for a walk to the Beta Church down at the lake. Highly recommend to do the same. Magical place. I had to complement the chef for the breakfast. The first time we had a perfect cooked English Breakfast after traveling in the UK for four weeks. Exactly as it should be. Staff were super friendly and made us feel home immediately.

Suite was excellent for room as there was a sitting room with a nice view. Good seating area by breakfast room/ restaurant. Easy parking. Food was excellent, breakfast choice excellent. Staff very helpful and professional. Trays by doors of.rooms for shoes a good idea.
Wifi in room was sporadic and slow at times, so work shifted to the upstairs seating area near the bar.maybe a pale carpet in an area surrounded by sheep and horses not the best choice! The trays helped but maybe a larger barrier matted area by doors?

The service and staff, especially the manager, who was so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. The quality of food was superb, and the young ladies who served the breakfast were lovely. The cleanliness of the room was perfect. We also met a lovely couple from Cheshire Kev and Julia.
The room was small and could've done with another chair as we were a couple, and one of us had to sit on the bed to have our coffee. The room also lacked space for a large wardrobe, especially if you were staying longer than one night.

Quiet, serene location with incredible views. The lodge is stylish and oozes luxury. The stunning dining room with glass bifold doors and views out into the countryside is an absolute dream. Hands down the best restaurant for experience, service and food that I have experienced in the Lakes. Our beautiful suite was perfect and had a devine terrace overlooking the fields. Nothing was too much trouble and the genuine warmth from the staff really made our stay memorable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
That we had to leave……

The room was wonderfully presented and laid out for a family with a toddler - not a lot of small items around that could be broken or misused! The fold out bed was a great addition for our toddler to sleep in. The bathroom was well laid out and the addition of Bath House products was a luxury extra we didn’t expect. Great sized towels too, very soft and cosy! The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Freshly made, very nice food and devoured by us all, filled us up for the day. The staff were polite and kind, considerate and a great representation of the owners, knowledgeable with local walks and advice!
There could be a mirror installed on the driveway or lighting to identify the low wall in darkness as there is a very sharp turn into the property as identified by the owners in messages. A bath mat for the bathroom would have helped with a toddler but not a necessity.
