We booked around 9pm due to another property letting us down last minute. So glad we did as we had a great stay for my sons 11th birthday the staff where great .very welcoming and polite given the time we arrived and how busy they where in the eventful restaurant area. the family room was a great size for 2 adults, 11 year old 3 year old and 10 month old. and very clean. Concidering the live singer and amount of people partying enjoying themselfs downstairs we never heard a thing again nothing to fault on noise with a baby. so room is very well sound proofed. breakfast was fab and again staff in morning where great my 10 month old son took a shine too one of the girls in restaurant shouting on her and smiling away whenever she walked by our table. would definately book an overnight stay again. Thank you to all staff x

We stayed 5 adults in a big family room. It was very nice and clean with a great bathroom. The Staff was very friendly. There were a big free parking lot behind the Hotel. The Restaurant at the Hotel is really good with a large menu. We went to the restaurant for both the evenings we stayed. We loved our stay. It was extremely good value for money.

The family room had a very good doublebed, but there was a sleeping-couch and two futon-beds for the last 3 beds. Specially the couch was not to good for sleeping, but still it was great value for the money. It would also had been nice with a small fridge.

Super nice and efficient staff, Excellent communication prior to and during our stay, Delicious food (vegan dinner and vegan Scottish breakfast!), exceptional vegan menu! Great location en route on our family trip. Highly recommended and would definitely return - thank you so much!

The sofa bed, for the 4th person in our party, was pretty uncomfortable. At the time of booking I believed the room would come with 4 beds, instead of 3 + a sofa. Not a biggie though, ok for one night :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good.

We fully understand the smallness of baths in the UK, my husband is Scottish and I have visited multiple times, but the bathroom was the smallest of any place I have visited. I stubbed my foot on the shower each time I walked into the room. Storage was very limited. No drawers and only 4 hangers.

The Coachman has comfortable spotlessly clean rooms with recently refurbished bathrooms. The food at breakfast is excellent both in choice and quality. If you are having dinner in the restaurant the portions are generous and the quality is excellent. Staff at check in and the restaurant are friendly and helpful and the service is very good. We have stayed here several times and will stay again in the future.

Absolutely every member of staff were friendly & helpful. Housekeeping/Reception/hospitality. Confusion with my booking was dealt with immediately & appropriately. Was a popular venue for locals. Food was excellent. Sunday Roast great value. Pet friendly. Fabulous shower !

There was nothing to not like. But you need to be aware, there is road noise, due to location. And there is noise (music) from the bar on an evening. It’s a busy & popular place.. so if you’re looking for quiet & peaceful, this isn’t it. But it was fine for me.

Dog friendly, staff were really helpful and the food was amazing! We ate in the pub as the restaurant didn’t allow dogs however they served the same menu. We had the steak which was fantastic and great value. Hotel breakfast was one of the best we have had and the staff accommodated us in a separate part of the restaurant to allow the dogs in. We will definitely return!

All the staff were so friendly and helpful and the communication throughout was excellent. There was a good choice of food on the menu for dinner and breakfast and we all really enjoyed our meals. The location of the hotel was perfect for us cycling the John Muir Way and our family room was clean, comfortable and we all slept well.

The location was perfect for me as its an easy commute between Kilsyth and Cumbernauld. The room was clean (smelled and felt like new), and offered all the usual expectations you would expect; including an en-suite toilet, free-Wi-Fi, TV and tea/coffee making facilities, The double bed was comfy and the breakfast was generous and well-cooked with a fast, efficient and professional table service. The power shower was perfect after a busy day! I didn't have dinner at the hotel as I was meeting my daughter for a meal elsewhere, but I can vouch for the wonderful smells emanating from the restaurant, and it looked really busy, which speaks for itself.

I don’t know if it was just me and my senses but the reception area had a strange smell but it went away once in the room.
