We stayed for a week at the hotel and had a lovely time. We stayed here because we were attending a funeral, and the hotel did a wonderful job for the Wake. The rooms were cosy and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms were kept very clean and the cleaners were all friendly. The restaurant service was brilliant and the food was fantastic. Reception staff were really helpful and always available. Only a 10 minute walk to Stepps train station; trains leave every 25 minutes, and only takes 15 minutes into Glasgow City Centre. The nearest mini supermarket was co-op which is a 20 minute walk away.

Breakfast was very nice but there was a shortage of bowls for the continental cereals on offer but apart from that very nice breakfast.

I had previous checked that we had booked early check in but when my wife checked in on the day was met with a very grumpy front of house who told her check in was at 2pm but then checked the booking and told her oh yes you have asked for early check in and that was that. Wasn't a very good 1st impression and when I was told I had informed her that my previous phone calls and when I went to hotel the day before my expierence was very different and assured her it was a one off.

Our room was nice and spacious and the bed very comfortable - I slept extremely well! Breakfast was freshly cooked with a good selection of buffet items also available and staff were friendly and helpful - I particularly enjoyed the granola pot (on top of natural yoghurt and berries)

Our room did not have a bedside table on one side (a member of staff explained that they were aware of the issue and were sorting a replacement) but as our room also had a sofa and coffee table we were able to move and repurpose the coffee table. There was a bump in the floor on the way to the bathroom but that, though a little strange, wasn't a problem. Addition of a box of tissues in the room would have been welcome.

The team at the hotel are excellent. I appreciated being booked into the same room I used on previous visits as I'd mentioned that it was a lovely big room. I'd forgotten my phone charger and Anton let me use his own USBC charger in the morning to recharge my phone which meant I had use of my phone that day. Also, the receptionist gave me an umbrella to use to get my luggage packed into the car as there was a heavy shower when I was leaving. Dinner and breakfast were also very good and I particularly appreciate that my request for a take away morning coffee is always arranged for me without any issue.

The only thing I think would add to my stay would be access to some of the streaming apps on the TV.

We were greeted by Ian and made to feel welcome immediately. Mark was superb in his management skills. Junior was also very helpful with our hot water issue. Both Ian and Mark handled the hot water problem the next morning with efficiency and swiftness. There had been a problem with a drunk female guest one night, but the night staff quickly responded to our phone call and spoke the girl. Mark checked on us the next morning to be sure we were ok with what had happened. ANd we also want to recognize Jack, our waiter, on our first night. Very professional polished young man. We just can't stress enough how great the staff was.

We had a small issue with the hot water in our first room. Mark and Ian worked together and moved us into another room.

I stayed here before and liked it. The location is ideal for me - visiting family who lives in Glasgow, decent parking, quiet area, petrol station, coop and a beautiful little lake nearby. The hotel is lovely, rooms are spacious and warm in winter - loved the option to adjust the temperature. Friendly personnel whoever we talked to. Tried the restaurant as well, and the food was great. We stayed for Christmas, and everything was decorated so nicely, and Santa visited the guests, we found a sock filled with sweet little things on the Christmas morning!

Travelled with our two dogs who were not allowed into restaurant. They were presented with a bowl each with treats in the room though on arrival plus their own towel. They were also allowed into the reception/bar area so for breakfast our table was set up in there & they could join us & not be left in the room. Also wife said it was the best scrambled eggs she has had in any hotel/b&b anywhere & she is fussy!

It was raining? Glasgow, what else should I expect. Wasn’t told there was a charge for the dogs at booking. Not mentioned booking online, didn’t see it on the website & wasn’t mentioned on calling the hotel reception.

We loved the look and feel of the property. It was homey and clean, with comfortable beds, nice hot shower with toiletries, traditional Scottish breakfast options, and a spacious car park. The staff was extra helpful!! We took their advice and popped down to Moffat for dinner rather than going there the next day and missing time in Glasgow. We also took their advice to walk to the nearby train station to travel into Glasgow. Much better than trying to drive in downtown Glasgow, which is quite busy! It also gave us the chance to walk through the lovely little neighborhood, rather than always being on the thoroughfare and in a city. Having their firsthand expertise to rely upon made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Although my wife and I only stayed one night we had an excellent stay at the Garfield House. There was plenty of parking, check-in was smooth and efficient and the room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. We decided to have dinner and the staff were friendly and provided excellent service, and the food menu provided a good choice at fair prices - tasty too! Breakfast also was a great experience, with loads of choice. The hotel is also very convenient for access to Glasgow and the airport.

On arrival we weren't sure we were at the right place! The signage is minimal with nothing even right at the entrance to confirm where we were.

My expectations were within line what I have experienced with other Best Westerns, so no real complaints. The room was clean, good wifi and a nice bathroom. They had a bar and restaurant downstairs that seemed well used; however, I did not utilize either of them. You are within a 15 minute drive from Glasglow or about a 1 hour drive from Edinburgh Airport. They also had some event room that was hosting some small concert show while I was staying there, so if one does not want to do anything, seems this Best Western has entertainment available as well at times.
