I chose the Glazert as it is "off the beaten track" on our trip home from visiting family in England. Greeted by a lovely chap on arrival.... I'm sorry.... I'm rubbish with names! We had our 2 dogs with us and he suggested that he move us from the room we booked which was on 2nd floor to a room that opens onto the car park. Wow! What a lovely move it was too! Very spacious room and bathroom with everything we needed including iron and ironing table, large and substantial furniture and - OMG! - a fabulous jacuzzi bath! I do love a bath 😃 We had booked a table for dinner on arrival and the food and service were fabulous. The food was very hot and fresh and tasty and again, lovely staff. Breakfast we had booked for 8am and we were most surprised that someone came in especially to do this for us. We had heard quite a number of cars leaving at some point - perhaps room only, I don't know. The breakfast too was lovely.....the choice of the non-cooked was vast and displayed really nicely. All in all.....I can fault nothing. Comfort, service, quality of food we found second to none.

Nothing to not like.

Really excellent food and lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had a family dinner there for 8 the first night and that was superb. Very well kept property. Spotless everywhere.

Vertical blind on window of bedroom needs replacing. Door window should be frosted for privacy as it is a ground floor outside door. Appeared to be a sunken area of floor in front of the armchair. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath but electric shower over it extremely weak and cut out completely multiple times. Lacks a really good shelf for your things. A very minor thing.

The bed was very comfy. I have a neuro condition, so it's normally a problem for me to feel comfortable. The hotel scored top marks from me on this one. The breakfast choice was good and nice and fresh. When I said I'd need to leave at 7am to make my way home, I was offered food to take away instead, which was kind. The grounds are lovely with a wide range of colour.

I struggled with the Wi Fi in the room,

The staff were very friendly and it was a clean comfortable hotel. The food was very nice and the main lounge was very cosy with a nice fire and decor. The breakfast was lovely and had all you could want. For our purposes the hotel was ideally situated. The bed was very comfortable. The rate for the room was very fair. Couple of niggles with the room which should be easy to fix.

The bedroom window had blinds missing which was a bit annoying as to have privacy you had to close the curtain which made the room dark. The radiator was behind the main curtain so you had to fold a full length curtain to sit on top of the radiator. There was no mat to wipe your feet on when you entered the room directly from outside which felt a bit dirty. The bath towels were very small .

Lovely room with a large bathroom. Jetted tub and shower combo with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Lovely setting just off the rail trail. Safe place to leave our bikes inside overnight. Great meals. Staff very friendly

Bathroom door wouldn’t close easily. A shelf in the bathroom would be nice

Overnight stop-over travelling from Kent to Scottish Highlands with our 2 dogs. Location perfect. Accommodation for 2 adults travelling with 2 pets was really fab. Nice evening meal in the bar. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definately recommend and will return.

The room was comfy, the staff were great and the food was exceptional .. from start to finish could not fault it 😀 Will definitely be back

Nothing really My only suggestion would be to change the pillows as they are a bit flat and maybe something to help you get in and out of the shower/bath

We live in Kent and have family in Scotland we regularly visit and this was our first time at this hotel. Really good value for money and lovely food. Breakfast was excellent! Some parts of the hotel were in need of a fresh lick of paint but considering it’s an old building it was very well kept. Our room was very clean however the carpet on the stairways were in need of a Hoover but there was some work going on in one of the rooms which may have been why. Overall we would most definitely book this hotel again.

Staff were amazing. Friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect. We were visiting High Park cemetery in Lennoxtown and friends in Kirkintilloch. Breakfast was wonderful, great parking facilities too.

The only downsides were the bed and pillows. I didn't sleep so well as the pillow was hard and the mattress sloped towards the middle. Everything else was great though.

Quiet location.. Lovely breakfast.

Couple of snags in the room. The plug in the sink was not connected properly so the sink did not hold water for shaving etc. The double glazed window was very difficult to close to cut out external noise.
