Overall we were very pleased with this hotel in a converted Victorian house. The location was really great, in the West End opposite the River Kelvin and right near the metro. The room was quite standard, not one of those eccentric British conversions as I feared. We had an attic room which only had a skylight but it was very pleasant and quite spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fabulous Persian restaurant just up the road, and great Italian too.

There is no lift, but the receptionist got the handyman to help us up with the bags which made it easier (we were on the second floor). The shower pressure was terrible, to the point where it was not really possible to wash our hair. The quilt was too hot but that’s the same everywhere. The parking was a bit complicated but not insurmountably so (street parking at night and weekend, cheapish parking station during the day).

Very conveniently located, just opposite Kelvinbridge Subway Station, and within walking distance of the University and other places I was visiting. Clean, comfortable, warm, slept well

The breakfast coffee did not taste like coffee! After the first morning I made proper breakfast coffee from fresh filter bags in my room, and simply drank hot water in the breakfast room. My room was just next to the breakfast room, and I suppose it was to be expected that there was a lot of loud conversation just outside my door very early on the last morning

Very friendly welcome from the two ladies on reception. Good size room and bathroom. Good location - not far from the Kelvingrove Museum and the Botanical Gardens. There's a subway station 2 minutes away.

The room was in the roof and very warm. The velux needed to have been opened to air it out, as it was warmer in the room than outside (it was about 18/19°C in Glasgow the day I stayed). I opened it after checking in about 2pm and the room had finally cooled when I went to bed, although i kept it open all night to get a breeze in. I let reception know, when I checked out, that I'd left it open so the room was cooler for the next person.

My family and I have stayed here several times. The location is fantastic, staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And the cleanliness of the rooms is great. There are often great last minute discounts available on the rooms which are very good value for money considering the good standards offered at the hotel.

My particular room could do with some table lamps at the side of the bed. I had to use my phone torch to read in bed as the only other option was the overhead light.

Great staff, very nice lady who is the owner. Nice breakfast, comfortable, spacious rooms with great beds. It's located in a residential area, few steps from the Glasgow tube which goes to the centre. Some late open bars are as well in the area. There is no lift in the building so make sure you can lift your bags to the upper floors. Tea, coffee and a kettle are available in the rooms. I will stay there again if I come back to Glasgow.

One little thing, smell of breakfast was noticeable in the top floor rooms

Very comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, good shower, helpful and friendly staff. Quiet location which I really appreciated.

Breakfast was undercooked for my taste the first morning though edible, and the next day was much better. Stairs were quite a challenge. Not the hotel's fault but I was wakened several times by someone's security light behind the building, though the blind and curtains are good quality.

The property was clean, comfortable and very quiet, tucked away from the main road. The wifi was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money in a very good location. Early access to the apartment was a god send with a choice of apartments. Highly recommended.

We opted for the second floor apartment, the only drawback being the struggle to get the cases up the two flights of stairs, a lift would have been nice. Otherwise, not much else to complain about!!

The lady on reception was lovely, as was the young man servicing the rooms. Homely and safe atmosphere...very nice for a single traveller. Old school set up with real keys and personal service, but modern. The single bedroom on the top floor was lovely and comfortable with lots of towels, a good hospitality tray, full length mirror, great shower, tv with loads of channels. An extra heater was provided but not needed and I had to turn off both radiators as it was very warm already . Great location in Glasgow for West End and transport options. Got to check in early. Great value.

Comfortable room, extremely convenient location, quiet side road with parking available (not free but reasonably priced), very friendly and accommodating staff, lots of amenities like kettle and hair dryer in room, underfloor heating in bathroom, windows which open all the way and good ventilation, nice view onto Garnethill and Great Western Road, great restaurants nearby, 2 minute walk to Kelvinbridge Subway station.

There was some kind of pipe leaking into the floor of our room when we arrived which meant the room had an unpleasant damp smell when we got there and we had to open the window to ventilate which made it bearable. Still, we got our socks wet walking on the carpet and had to keep our shoes on while walking around the room. We let the staff know and they were very helpful and offered us towels to put on the floor but these were obviously a temporary fix to the problem. The room was spotlessly clean aside from this and very comfortable.

The stay was very nice. The property was very beautiful and had a spirit from the past. The place is close to the supermarket. I hope you will give me the opportunity to return to this place. Thanks to the receptionist. It was nice
