Wonderful breakfast, easy access, reasonably large rooms (single room enough for 1 person, double room really spacy enough for 2 guests). Very friendly and helpful staff! Great location, next to subway station, multiple shops, restaurant or take away facilities. Well equiped rooms with TV, kettle, daily updated selection of tea or coffee. Plenty of coat hangers. Multiple electric sockets, multiple light sources all over the room.
Beds are kinda hard. Pretty intense smell from making freakfast, starting at about 6-7 am, noticeable in some rooms :-(. Still would gladly book a room here again!

Almost everything went well, the staff was very kind and helpful, the room was very clean. I had a great night's sleep. It was also very close to the university, and the main roads, which was my main goal in choosing this hotel.
Only 2 issues: 1 - When booking the hotel, it allows to inform on the arriving time for, at least, 10 am, but the check in time is only at 14:00 or after. Not a bit problem, since I only arrived a bit after 11:00 am and had to leave before 12:00, but should either have a warning on the check in time if we choose an arrival time before 14:00, or dont allow an arrival time before 14:00 in the options; 2 - The covers were a bit short for me, I had to keep pulling on them upwards. However, not a bit issues for me, since I had a great night's sleep, and did not even ask if it was possible to have another one. But both of these were only minor issues for me.

Great location. Friendly staff all all times & helpful with several enquiries. Breakfast, good choice, I enjoyed yogurt & toast. You had a choice of fruit juice, cereals, cooked breakfast choice, yogurts & toast. Nice coffee. Comfortable bed, very clean room. I thought it was a great hotel & would stay again. Fantastic for sightseeing & some great restaurants close by.
This did not bother us, but an honest comment; the Boiler made a noise when using the hot water tap, flushing toilet & shower. However, shower was good pressure & quick for hot water. Very clean bathroom.

The hotel is in a great location in the West End of Glasgow, within a five minute walk of both the Botanic Gardens and the main shopping street, where there are lots of supermarkets and restaurants. If you don't drive, you can get either the 6 or 6a bus from St Vincents place just a couple of minutes walk from Queen Street train station which drops you off outside the hotel (I'm just including this as I know I would have found it useful to know!). The hotel is a lovely building, very clean and with very friendly staff. I stayed in a single room at the front of the building which overlooked the main street but no real noise. I found the bed a little too hard for me but perfect if you like a firm mattress (I'm just too fussy! 😂). All in all a great experience and I would definitely stay again 😊

I had .major issues with booking my accommodation in Glasgow, because I made a lot of overseas payments in a short time-frame when organising our 4.5 week UK/Ireland holiday, and my bank suddenly froze my credit card just as I was paying the Royal West End Hotel to secure our booking. The hotel management was very supportive and allowed my booking to remain and I paid later. For this, I am so grateful. The hotel room was very comfortable and warm. It had a proper shower, not inside a bath, which is nice.
Parking was problematic; it's not an issue for the hotel, but with Glasgow as a whole. Parking in Glasgow is problematic. Being on the top floor was not easy for my wife, who has had medical issues. While the hotel is smoke free, it would improve things if smoking was also banned immediately outside the front door, as the smoke wafts back in so the entry smells of smoke at times, as happened when I saw one of the staff smoking just outside the front door.

The room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view. The front of house were very helpful and friendly (which is quite rare in that city). I really liked that I was able to connect my Netflix and other services to the large TV and watch shows in bed, it added to the overall relaxing holiday experience. The hotel is also in a good location, with several restaurants, stores and attractions within walking distance. It is also close to 2 or 3 busstops. This place is a great example of what a 3 star hotel should be: comfort for people on a budget. I'd certainly come back here (if Im ever willing to subject myself to the bizarrely rude people of Glasgow again).
No elevator (they did help me get my bag upstairs)

Bed was very comfortable. Staff were so helpful and polite the entire stay.
For some reason both nights around 5am there was ALOT of racket coming from upstairs or possibly another room on the same floor. It sounded more like moving furniture rather than people getting ready to check out. It may have been people checking out so in that case it was just unfortunate that it kept us awake. But if it’s possible that staff were cleaning a room at that time from a late night check out then I think it was quite disrespectful as it kept us up from 5am both mornings. 24/7 reception so I’d assume they may also clean the rooms when they’re not expecting anyone to arrive.

The room was clean and had everything you'd expect. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly when it came to sorting out parking (only negative point). There are plenty of bars and places to eat in the area, although booking would be beneficial.
The lack of designated parking is listed on the booking site, but parking in and around the hotel is difficult and limited as the hotels located in a residential area. Parking prices are very expensive. Plus point, the parking on Great Western Road directly outside the hotel is free between 6.30 p.m. and 7 a.m..

We enjoyed our stay at the Argyll so much! The location is perfect, very convenient to the university, shopping, and public transit. There are a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and also quite spacious for a European hotel. The building is older, but this only added to the charm. The breakfast was good, with excellent coffee. The best thing about the Argyll is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful, it really made our stay there feel like home. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommend!!!
Not a thing! Everything was great!

Lovely hotel, the gentleman who booked us in was very pleasant.. The location is brilliant especially as we were going to a gig at QMU, loads of good pubs, restaurants etc around. Room was very nice, bit of road noise but that can't be helped. Lovely floor to ceiling windows and the room and bathroom were spotless, very comfortable cosy bed and the room was lovely and warm. Excellent value for money for the price we paid.
Only small complaint is that we'd prefer proper toilet roll rather than the single sheets dispenser but not a major problem and probably to do with it being a macerator toilet.
