breakfast was amazing; the room was spacious and clean; the staff was very helpful and friendly; and we loved being able to open the windows in the room !! We would stay here again - for sure.
the weather was warm while we were in and with the windows opened (which we loved being able to do), we listened to folks at the restaurant/ bar across the street until late at night - this was a bummer. this is not the fault of the Guest House though - they cannot control "happy people" having a good time, but something to keep in mind.

Great location and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. The receptionist on arrival was very pleasant. Rooms were basic in the guest house but were comfortable and cleaned everyday. Would recommend. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold choices in a.pleasent restaurant area. The location was perfect for what we wanted and plenty of bars and food choices around.
The only negative really to.lentipn was as we were leaving a young guy behind reception. He was on his phone and appeared to be dealing with a technical issue...no problem. We left our luggage and we returned a short time later to collect them the same guy was on his phone texting and spent the entire time texting while I waited. He then acknowledged me, without speaking but staring at his phone and continued to text without a goodbye or any acknowledgement. Possibly an older generation issue but I have just paid for 3 nights and he is involved in the hospitality business where customer care is paramount. The other staff but this guys ignorance has annoyed me enough to write this .

The room was fantastic thank you. Did I get an upgrade? I usually only stay one night usually because gigs ar swg3 or hospital appts but this time took extra day. Took in the Museum and Art gallery and there are little gems around the area to visit. I try to stay at the Argyll often and it's my favourite hotel go to. Thanks for a great stay. It always feels like home the breakfast included the staff at breakfast and hotel always helpful and make you pots of tea always a lovely touch . I forgot to mention the room was supplied with lots of tea/coffee sachets and lots of milk 5 stars from me. Plenty of pillows aswell...
Nothing at all.

The room I had was great. Close to entrance and clean. Nice bathtub, clean and good decent volume of water shower head. Plenty of places to eat around within walking distance
I’m sure the TV remote can be fixed so a paying customer doesn’t have to troubleshoot the battery compartment £4/hr for parking before 6pm is simply obscene …. I know this isn’t down to the hotel, but still …. Big towels for the bath would be helpful, those are more like hand towels. I was lucky I had my own with me.

Comfortable, clean nice location. Plenty of busses passing the door regularly. The location is within easy reach of the theatres with a few minutes bus ride and it is quite quiet
It was a little bit too warm. It would be appreciated if staff did mention when checking in how to adjust the heating if that is a possibility or if it is possible to open a window.. it would also be appreciated if they would tell you where your room is located, whether it is upstairs or downstairs or ground floor, rather than saying your room is across the road.

The room was fine, comfortable and clean. It was small but fine for two people for a couple of nights. The location is fantastic - really near lots of cafes and restaurants and easy public transport into the city centre.
The guest house isn't as nice as the hotel of the same name across the road. The stairs are really steep and narrow - not great at all if you have mobility issues. Our room was in the basement so it was a bit dark and dingy. There was cleaning stuff left around in the corridors so it looked a bit scruffy. I'd recommend booking at the hotel, not the guest house. It's the same business but I've stayed there and it was nicer.

Arrived Sunday, parked right on the doorstep (parking is free on Sundays, which was a bonus). Check in was simple and quick. Was very surprised how nice the room was considering the budget price, comfy beds, TV, kettle with coffees and teas. Big shower, all very clean. I often get a 'cheap' hotel when I'm in Glasgow to see a band play, because it's nice to have a beer and not worry about the long drive back home at night. This was easily the nicest place I've stayed for the price bracket I paid. I'll definitely book here next time I'm at the OVO Hydro.
Nothing, it was perfect.

This is an outstanding location almost right across the street from the university. The guest house and the hotel are right across the street from each other. The hotel has a desk which is handier than you think. Rooms are small but clean. Lots of stairs but we were staying very budget. Student area, so lots of cheap eats but we had some excellent pub food. Eat early if you can, gets very busy later. Lots of music in area too! I would go back!
Excellent for the price.

Superb location for museums open top bus stop, cafes & restaurants. Ground floor room excellent for my mother who has mobility issues. Lovely clean bathroom and bedroom. Option to leave luggage after checking out in a locked room was really useful.
If you're bringing a car you'll need to find your own private space as there is no long term day time parking options at the property just drop off short term street parking and overnight parking from 6pm until 8am.Use the justpark app. The mattress on one of the beds had some dodgy springs which were uncomfortable. I'd probably skip the breakfast as there are plenty of nicer coffee places nearby.

I really like liked the beds, slept really well during the stay there. Location was perfect, walking distance to the university of Glasgow, many museums and great restaurants in the area.
The Scottish breakfast being offered wasn’t very good, at least for my taste. They were painting the corridors leading to our room for the duration of the stay so we had to be careful not to touch the walls.
