Location was good for access to motorways etc. never fully used the facilities , I got back too late to use the bar and I went elsewhere for breakfast. The door to my room looked a little worn, perhaps a lick of paint would t go amiss. However it was a really comfortable stay, the staff that I met were really friendly and happy to help. Really impressed. Oh, and one of the best showers I’ve had in any hotel I’ve stopped in .

Not really sure. I was there for the Marillion weekend, so never spent much time in the hotel. I feel you do need a bigger car park.

I booked this as we had an award ceremony – “checking in” was absolutely fine and the member of staff on the desk was lovely. Our room was an accessibility room as the shower was more of a wet room – they really need to sort the drains out as it’s only a matter of time before it floods. After our event, we returned later that night back to the hotel and our keycards wouldn’t work. A member of staff then spoke to us through the tannoy and said “he wouldn’t let us in unless we promised to be quiet and went straight to our rooms” which was ridiculously patronising and I did not appreciate being spoken to like a child. I actually wanted to complain the next morning but let it slide. I suggest you speak to whoever it was.

Everything was good enough.

The sink in the bathroom is a little blocked, because it takes so long for the water to full drain through the draining system it leaves behind residue of dirt like things once the water is drained. When I came in the room because the cleaner would have cleaned everywhere and used the tap to squeeze a cloth the sink was rather dark in colour, this is not the cleaners problem as this is almost not avoidable unless the drains been cleared. I think this is something that absolutely has to be sorted. Thank you for your time. I need to return to Leicester so I may stay there again.

Great service, clean and comfortable. I turned up at 11.15 to drop my bag off before checking in later. The staff member asked if she could check if there was a room ready yet, and there was. I would never dream of asking to check in that early, so I was delighted to have the room early. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was very hot, and I liked that check out wasn't until 12.00. The cafe/bar was small, but nice. I had a lovely view over the station (me and my daughter love trains).

No negatives at all. It was a great night's stay.

The booking.com reservation confirmed two double rooms. On arrival, we were told the Ibis had run out of double rooms prior to our reservation being made. The duty manager was extremely apologetic for a problem not of his making, explained that this often happened when using this search app and advised that if we were ok for twin rooms for one night, he would guarantee the change of beds asap the following morning. Additionally, he added full breakfasts to our room only reservation, ensured we had complimentary use of the bar throughout our stay and personally oversaw the whole matter. Rooms were very clean and the whole matter was resolved very quickly and satisfactorily.

Though very close to the railway station, the hotel is on the main road, in case you’re looking for somewhere tucked away.

Really liked the ibis, I normally stay premier inn as I have a business booker cancellation. However came for family funeral for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Room was always cleaned with new towels and top up of tea facilities. Loved the pod bathrooms, reminded me of a cruise ship !!

The lift constantly stopped at reception when going and coming up from the car park, probably for security but it slowed the whole process down.

The Leicester Ibis offered efficient check in with courteous helpful staff. The room had everything I required, toiletries drinks and a very functional bathroom. Breakfast was vast. English.. Continental..cereals. Juice .. yoghurt etc At night there was some road noise but the hotel is in the centre and to be expected but really wasn't a nuisance with the comfortable bed . All staff members were there if needed but I was left alone otherwise. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for solo travellers and families, it offers good value and is better than a budget hotel...I'll definitely stay again

Nothing to dislike. Book it! Maybe an extra electrical or usb socket at the bedside

Always a smile and a greeting from all the staff. Nice to sit and eat breakfast and watch the traffic rushing by. Very convenient for the railway station, and also easy to access by road.

The shower hose was leaking so a lot of water went down the hose or wall. The TV suddenly went off and even a second remote didn’t help. (The picture came back just as suddenly as it went off); Always a long wait for the lift! My card would not work at check in but it did work at the bank an the shops

Really good location. Room was fair size. Shower was good.

There wasn't anything I "disliked", but there were a couple of little very minor probs. The noise outside from the road and trains at night can be quite loud, but not horrendous. The door was locked and couldn't get an answer when I returned from my gig. There was no way to get in. Eventually someone buzzed the door, but no one told me at any point that there would be a time when we couldn't get into the hotel. I had been out working so I was late in. Around 4am. Lastly, the website said no car park, so I parked up elsewhere on first night with prepaid ticket, to find they had a car park, when I arrived. Should probably be ammended on site. These are all minor though. None of them bothered me particularly.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Really central and very close to the train station. Even closer if you walk through the station car park. Its a 5min walk. 5-10mins from town centre. Room was pleasant enough.

There was nasty damp smell at the main entrance of the hotel. Carpet has some stains on entrance to room 107. The toilet seat was askew and there was a slight leak under the sink in the bathroom.
