Staff, food, rooms everything was great apart from billing.
Management promised to issue a refund and despite three prompts this has not happened yet. My parents stayed and were wrongly charged for room service (which they never even authorised a card for). All staff members at reception (Rita, Bonita, etc.) were superb but the lady from management who called seemed rushed and never followed up on her promise to issue the refund. My father's credit card still has the charge on it to this day. I was promised a follow up email upon ringing them again but am still waiting for this. They stayed in room Wiese and Krohne in April around Easter.

This hotel does a very simple concept very well. Homely yet elegant, boutique yet approachable and unpretentious, lovely food and wine without being extravagantly pricey. It was very warm inside on a really cold day, including in our room (a friend and I shared a twin). Our room was a 'park view twin', which was generously sized with big beds and a big, deep bathtub in the bathroom - a treat, especially as it wasn't a suite. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable, lovely leather sleigh beds with crisp white sheets - I slept very well. We had dinner and breakfast in the bistro, both of which were delicious, and even though the bistro is in a conservatory, that too was warm and cosy. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful, and we loved watching all the dogs running around the park outside. There was only one thing we commented on as we departed, which was that some maintenance work started on a room next to ours - with drilling - at around 8:30am. We were awake already, but had we just flown in overnight or something, it would not have been good. However, when we mentioned it to reception, they assured us they would take it up with the maintenance team.
Nothing. A sauna, steam room and pool or small spa area would be nice but then that is not the concept.

Room was lovely and shower was fantastic. Setting was beautiful
Food in the restaurant was very poor. Dinner in particular was expensive and the quality was in line with a ready meal. They didn’t have half the desserts and several main courses. Breakfast was a bit better but the avocado on toast was inedible due to so much vinegar on the tomatoes. The room had barely any plug sockets, which when you’re paying £230 a night for the basic room mid week doesn’t feel in line with expectations. Charging for parking for guests just felt money grabbing.

We paid an upgrade but decided to upgrade tnot the room type but the view (Standard room with view). This is really worthy to book Park view rooms (last time we stayed there we did not do this and it makes really a difference) Great view on the park. Cozy rooms Very clean and comfortable beds
Nothing. However we did not book any extras like breakfast (had a nice view in our room). Extras sxeem to be quite expensive.

Beautiful hotel, with friendly service and lovely food and superb wine menu. Very friendly and good space to be able to relax and work. Wimbledon Common right there and so beautiful to walk around in.
The actual room itself was a bit disappointing - a bit shabby chic. The shower was unfortunately in the bath. The add ons were the same cost as the actual accommodation so would be nice for the room to match up.

After a poor experience on a previous visit, I have to say the staff and whole experience was exceptional on this visit. I had two rooms booked, including an accessible room for my mother. Check in experience was very good with the young lady on reception, who also arranged breakfast for the family next morning and dealy with a few other requests we had. Breakfast was great, as was the service. It was a really pleasant experience including some evening snacks and afternoon drinks in the lounge area.
Everything was great. I very pleasant experience with great food, drinks and service.

This was the second time I stayed here despite my first stay being less than adequate and I must say that I’m glad I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. My room was beautiful with views over Wimbledon Common and the room was clean. Staff, just like last time, were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful - to top it off, the lady on reception recognised me after my first stay which is always a plus when you revisit a hotel because it adds that personal touch and makes you feel that the staff really care and pay attention to guests. I would definitely recommend staying here, close to all amenities (short walk) and a very relaxing location.
The room I had was at the front of the hotel and that can get quite noisy on a Friday/Saturday night when guests are leaving private functions/the restaurant/bar in taxis.

I liked the location, lovely building, friendly and helpful staff.
We came lately to escape the heatwave (I suffer, as under strong medication), but we were unable to reduce the heat sufficiently because of its place in the building. The food was unexceptional, especially on Sunday night, as many food items began to run out.

I do love this hotel and stay here often. It is highly recommended. Beautiful building and lovely surroundings. Great bar and restaurant as well. Staff go above and beyond to make you comfy here. Parking fees are annoying high. Almost puts me off staying. Room names are annoying and combined with the fact that this was not a purpose built hotel you can often end up wandering around corridors up and down stairs to find your room.

Very pleased to be given a 1 hour complimentary extension to noon for check-out
Although the breakfast was good, service was slow which led to the check-out extension request. Having ordered porridge and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, and asked for them to be served separately, they still arrived together!
