Close walking distance to Canary Wharf, lovely high tech room over 2 floors and high ceilings! Friendly staff who explained facilities really well!

Nothing we didn’t like although shortly after booking received quite a long email with rules and advising of a £100 deposit that would be required upon arrival that could take 14 working days to be returned. So it was good to know this before arriving but I would have preferred to know upon booking. The deposit turned out to be just £50 when checking in and was returned almost immediately so there was no dramas there in the end.

the walk to canary wharf is not very nice, particularly not at night, hopefully this will be better in the future, when all constructions are finished

Everything is perfect. The place is sparkling clean and the rooms have real character. What makes the place even better is the staff who are super kind. Special mention to Ernest and Thomasz. Location is very good, connections to centre are served by DLR at only 8 min walking or by Bus n 15 just behind the hotel. They have a SPA which is complementary for guests and all products are from l'Oxcitane (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Bonus is the complemetary water bottles, the bath robes and the bed are Suuuuper comfy! This has been the 3rd time we've stayed at Lansbury but will certainly be back there!

Loved the bed on the mezzanine in the room… felt like you was ticked away from any outside noise. The furnishings were luxurious and the hotel has a real cool style. Very friendly staff too. VERY quiet area.

The bar closes very early and there is no option for room service late night for a nightcap. There’s also no shops nearby that can cater for this…… As a smoker…. It’s difficult to smoke after midnight when the door is locked and the terrace is closed…. It would be nice to have a smoking area for guests after midnight.

The hotel is a traditional building opposite to the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. Our smart room was large, comfortable and very clean. You can control everything via the TV: from the lights to the air conditioning. Breakfast was very good too with lots of choice of traditional English dishes along with the basic continental options. We love it. The kind hotel staff was always willing to help us with everything.

Nothing in particular. We worried about the hotel's location but we didn't come across with significant problems. Of course, the upgrading of the area's infrastructure will certainly help the hotel.

The hotel was stunning! Had the best nights sleep in the comfiest bed, no noise whatsoever. Breakfast (which we chose to add on) was delicious. It was my partners birthday and the staff kindly added some balloons and rose petals to the bed complimentary. Ernest Knox and all of the other staff were super friendly and polite. The shower in our room was amazing and my partner loved the steam and sauna room facilities. It was only a 5 minute walk to the river and where we needed to get too. If we book anything in the area again I will definitely return to this hotel.

The building was super peculiar and very well mantained, similarly the room was very nice with the bed located in a second floor from bathroom and desk. Staff was always very nice and welcoming. The availability of the sauna, free of charge for guest, was definetly a plus.

The smart control of the room (heat, lights, etc) was a bit confusing to understand (and I am an engineer, thinks some old couple :-D). Similarly, I never understood what was on the door the correct colour to ask for room cleaning, at the end I manage to select the right option only 1 out of 4 :-P

Staff were incredibly lovely and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful! The hotel itself is incredible! Everything was perfect and amazing price! Everything was so modern, everything in the room was available to be regulated through TV! Wow!

Maybe that during second Christmas day, in the evening we were told that sauna and steam room are not working for today (at 6pm). maybe location, great transportatoon connections and really close. But just didn't feel safe going for a walk later at night, but it's just London!

Lovely boutique hotel, well kept and lovely and clean. Nice room and in room facilities. Good breakfast.

The Sauna was cold as it hadn't been put on, we were advised this needed to be requested at Reception which wasn't ideal. There was no hot water for a shower in the room so we had to call maintenance to fix this. We were advised the night before travelling that the Bar was closed due to refurbishment however the Bar was in the breakfast room which was open the following morning? It was disappointing we couldn't get a drink and it was very late notice to inform us of the Bar closure.

This is such a beautiful looking hotel. It’s very close to Poplar train station so the links of getting everywhere in and around London is perfect. Great views around the city. The hotel is very glamorous and well decorated. The rooms are big and comfortable and warm. It is very welcoming and although a boutique hotel, it was not at all intimidating. It’s not a big hotel either so you weren’t bumping into people all the time. I love the building, it really stands out. I love how it pays homage to the Lansbury family! Just generally a lovely hotel, it was very clean and fresh. The shower was amazing, very powerful. The tea and coffee on offer was perfect. A fridge on the room with bottled water and milk. Which is refreshing, as again with small children I had my own bits I used the fridge floor. So many little bits that made it better. There was a very lovely outside area but it was far too cold to use, however I will be back again and comment on that fully next time. I didn’t use the spa but my partner and brother did. They said it was very relaxing and they would definitely use again. The staff were fantastic. Teja was on reception with a lovely gentleman when we arrived. We were greeted with tunnocks tea cake which was awesome! Check in was quick and easy. Very professional but also welcoming. There was a £100 room deposit which I was aware of as I read the info sent to me beforehand. This was returned instantly upon checkout, again Teja was on reception when we left, checkout was quick and easy. The other staff we saw were all polite throughout interactions from the guys in the breakfast room to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast was plentiful and very delicious. The breakfast room was clean at all times. The hotel was very family friendly which was great as I had my toddler and niece who loved wandering around and they were greeted with such warmth. I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough.
