Location was perfect. Close to restaurants, theatre, attractions, shopping and easy access to tube/train. Enough room for a 5 person family to be comfortable. With the windows open and fans, you can keep it cool inside. Clean bedding and towels, even had face cloths and hand towels I’ve heard many don’t. Well equipped kitchen, although we only used it to heat things. Had to use the kitchen mirror to do our hair since no plug ins in the bathrooms, but then we could sit, so it was preferred. Quiet at night; even with the pub close by, it closes and everyone goes home not too late. The Ugly Dumpling restaurant beside the apartment entrance was yummy and the staff were very nice.

The staircase was dirty and stained when we arrived. Couldn’t believe it was professionally cleaned the next day…but smelly like a wet dog for days afterward. Thankful it did not travel into the apartment although we did put towels by the bottom of the door to stop it the first night. The smell from restaurants exhaust, does come in the bedroom windows though when opened for cool air. On our last night someone below or beside our bedroom windows was smoking weed so we had to close them. The construction that starts at 7am and can be loud but not always. You can see them also out the windows and make eye contact from the shower if you forget to close the blinds. Lol They used an adhesive that was also very strong smelling one morning we woke up to it, was gone by evening.

We weren’t thrilled with our initial room, but staff was very responsive and moved us to another room that suited us much better — we appreciated the responsiveness and were very happy in the new room. High ceilings, great view onto a popular street, modern furnishings, first floor (just one flight of stairs felt manageable). Fold-out couch worked fine for our 2 young kids. Would stay again.

No elevator. No A/C, and windows only opened a few inches which limited ventilation. Hallway smelled terrible (maybe fresh paint? But needed more ventilation). Comforters/pillows quite dirty under duvets. Downside of street side view and first-floor location was a lot of drunken street noise from multiple nearby pubs. Lots of variation across rooms — first one we got felt smaller than pictures, was on 3rd floor (4th to Americans) with no lift, and had no view. Inquire ahead about the one you are getting and request a lower floor if stairs will be an issue for your party.

The location was absolutely perfect. Vibrant, centrally located neighborhood with tons of pubs and restaurants.

Literally our only complaint, and we read this in other reviews so were prepared, was the noise at night due to the pubs below the apartment. And waking up around 4am to the shocking sound of a dumpster full of glass bottles being dumped into a truck! But all you need to do is bring earplugs. When it’s cooler and you can sleep with windows closed I’m sure it’s better—we were there during the heat wave.

The location is perfect, and only a few minutes walking distance to the underground, Oxford Street. The kitchen is fully equipped including everything. The bed in the bedroom is comfortable and the ikea sofa bed in the living room is also fine.

No lift in the building, but is ok for the young people.

Well equipped, great location

I didn’t realise we had to pay such a hefty deposit! Confusion re check in process

- The location was excellent.. couple of minutes walk from the main street.. restaurants/cafes around the corner - Smooth check-in

- There was a deposit charge without prior notice. As the amount was charged to my credit credit and then refunded, I lost a total of 7% of the deposit charged. Due to currency exchange and bank charges. - no flexibility in check-out timing. - no available space to keep luggage after Check-out - no lifts in the building.

It was spotless, spacious and amazing location . Easy to check in and out. No housekeeping necessary before check out , just close the door and leave. I would definitely stay again.

Just make sure you ask for photos for the specific apartment you are staying it. I thought we were staying in an apartment with a large outdoor balcony but realised when we arrived that there are several apartments in the complex and the photos on Booking.com is a mesh of all the apartments and we were staying in a different apartment. None the less it was still great .

Loved the location. Probably the best we’ve ever stayed in London. Furthermore the flat was large enough to feel comfortable. All functions in the flat were top notch. Kitchen was fully equipped and very functional.

As others have previously reported the street noise is almost unbelievable. Secondly there is no air con which means you have to keep the windows open in the summer. We did take full use of the provided fan to stay cooler and reduce the noise impact. Finally, as reported before, there is no lift so a grueling trip up. Finally, but not the least, is the total lack of communication with the management. Don’t know if it’s a booking.com issue or what but none of our questions were answered prior to our trip and as there was an issue with our card this took three days for us to finally make telephone contact. No email response at all.

We received a free upgrade which was great and unexpected as meant guest 2 had a room rather than setting up the sofa bed, we certainly appreciated this. The room was clean, spacious and in a great location close to everything we needed. Check in and out times were perfect with the option to extend.

The communication prior to arrival with queries wasn't great. The system seems overplecated and could be simplified for guests. After payment a deposit is required to cover damages ( I completely understand needing protection) but other venues take card details where it's agreed that money can be taken if there are discrepancies. I did not feel comfortable having to pay more than the room price with no stipulation or confirmation when making the payment that, that is what it is for. Hoping to have that refunded accordingly. Fire alarm testing taking place ( would have been nice to know it was scheduled! We have not long got up , then had alarms going off. So we had to quickly dress and stand outside until given the all clear.
