Good location, comfortable and tastefully decorated hotel, very good breakfast buffet.

The hotel actually has enough parking spaces, but if an event takes place like this evening and all parking spaces are full, I would have liked to have been informed in good time, especially since I had expressly asked for a parking space when making the reservation. Unfortunately, the receptionist reacted quite disinterestedly to my comment in this regard. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, good menu but micro portions, not good value for money. If the steak is very small, slicing it and spreading it on the plate won't make it any bigger. It's a shame, these "little things" mean a 2 point reduction.

As soon as I walked in the door, the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, and very polite. They explained everything I needed to know and showed me where everything was for the weekend. On the Sunday we went for breakfast in the restaurant and the staff there were excellent, we were shown to our sears and told where everything was. Overall, myself and my partner and I had a very enjoyable stay and a great breakfast on the Sunday. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, and hopefully, I will return for another stay in the future.

We had a room with a four-poster bed in it, but when lying in bed watching the television, one of the posts obscured the screen.

Gorgeous hotel. Room was a lot bigger than expected, very warm and crystal clean. Staff at the reception was accommodating and very nice. All details were explained and whole check in process took few minutes. Everything we needed was in the room. Toiletries in the bathroom, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room . Big TV, air conditioning, huge wardrobe with iron inside it. Plenty of space to hang your clothes. Huge mirrors in the room and bathrooms, very helpful as were getting ready for the wedding reception. Easy access to the car park from the back of the building. There's extra car park at the back of the building which is secured with automatic gate,

Reception was very good. Restaurant also good. The bed was very comfortable.

Room and furniture in particular was showing it's age. The shower, although adequate, would benefit for a refresh and a new shower curtain would be nice. The wardrobe was very old fashioned and the vernier on the dresser was starting to warp. The use of a duvet meant that I could not get comfortable, either too hot or too cold. Perhaps the duvet was too high a TOG rating. The layout of the accommodation area was hard to navigate until you get your bearings. More sign to rooms would help.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good size room, good size bed. Lovely room. Good quality bedding meant I had a great night's sleep, which I hadn't had in a long time. Great having a bar attached, although we didn't get the opportunity to try it, but it seemed pleasant. Really peaceful and calm environment.

The toilet didn't always flush. The receptionist almost charged me twice. The bedding smelt a bit, but I think that's the disinfectant used to wash them, so that was acceptable. Also, too many messages asking me for extras. There should be an option to say no because I knew that we were literally only staying for a few hours and leaving before breakfast,so there was not any opportunity for anything else.

Everything was as it should be clean tidy and well maintained. One thing I would mention that James on reception and Jenny in the restaurant went above and beyond when one of our party had discovered he had booked into the wrong hotel. Jenny, made James aware and James was able sort out a room and transfer the booking for my colleague from his original hotel. Outstanding service!

The hot water in the afternoon in the shower was only just hot enough. In the morning it was fine.

Breakfast was fabulous and staff made sure they assisted us with a change in rooms when requested. Great place to stay and will definitely return next year for our annual trip with friends

The original rooms given were by the lift which makes a noise every time someone calls the lift or chooses the floor. This can be hear from inside the rooms adjacent to the lift. We specifically asked for rooms not to be by a lift on our booking but were given these when we arrived. Staff however rectified this straight away which made for a great stay

Room was very good, albeit the coffee facilities were sparse, with only two coffee pouches and 1 pack of small biscuits between the two of us. The shower was good but no slip mat in bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok, we went in at 08_30 and the was quite a bit no longer avaiable, with no pastries left other than a couple of pain au chocolat. On the cooked breakfast side, no fried eggs available, beans had run out and no black pudding left, but what was there was very good

Reception team were friendly and efficient. Room was spacious and comfortable, Bed and pillows were excellent. Towels were properly white and super soft. Breakfast was good; nice to have a restaurant onsite. Restaurant evening staff were excellent.

Restaurant seemed a bit expensive; bartender put all our drinks on one room number instead of splitting it individually which we'd asked him to do. This meant there was a lot of sorting out to do with my colleague! Room was dimly lit - difficult to apply make up in the morning!

The hotel was easy to find, well presented and located in a lovely area. The staff were all very friendly and happy, a special thank you to Paige who was working in the Marco Pierre White restaurant. She was professional, very welcoming and friendly. She was very helpful advising us on which bus to catch to the NEC and where to catch it from. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and located on the ground floor. A peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. Easy commute to Birmingham airport, Birmingham station & NEC arena.

Check in would be better if it was at 14:00 instead of 15:00, this just gives you that bit of extra time to get settled in and to get ready for your evening plans. I know you can pay an additional amount to enter the room earlier, but I feel that the fee is a bit excessive. Some small areas need a bit of TLC but nothing major.
