Spacious, modern, comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff.

Light switches in room worked in bizarre combinations!

The staff were very accommodating welcoming and. Or intimidating catered for a comfortable stay food was easy to book or just attend the bar when I was lost restaurant staff showed me to the bar eating area so felt they went above and beyond to help, spa staff very helpful and welcoming and loved that I could carry on my fitness regime when away from home with the peloton bike I logged into my account and away I went, had leg wax and massage lovely service and just what i needed also had a swim sauna and steam Room and was open till 9.30pm perfect after hard days work..restaurant staff and food was amazing just bit more expensive thank bar menu which you would expect carrot and parsnip soup best I’ve tasted so thanks single bed was really a small double so was over the moon to have a nice bed. When spa didn’t have towels the reception supplied them too!

Staff were very nice and friendly. Room was lovely size (we had the executive double). Room service as and when we wanted. Breakfast was great too. Unlimited Full English with fresh fruits etc. Very nice. sauna and steam room very nice. Location was nice. Clean room. Comfy. Nice building.

The spa could have done with jacuzzi and that would have been perfect. Didnt like that members would add their own dose of aroma into the steam room. As he add way too much and it literally stung my eyes when I walked in...It was not good. It shouldn't be allowed. On our second day in the spa. They had run out of towels. Nothing major as we just used our hotel room towels instead. But was disappointing that they had run out. Our rooms are not that close which was a bit of a pain and surprised for a spa to not have any towels. Also shame you are not allowed to walk on the golf field as a guest. Would have been nice if there was parts for people to walk to the lake. But it was only for viewing unless you played golf.

Room was perfect, the breakfast left a little to be desired especially the egg but the bacon was lovely. We did not have dinner as we were there for a wedding function. The staff were very pleasant and helpful so pleasant to be around them.

Not much if anything, If I were to go for anything it would be the breakfast though I appreciate that to cater for a lot of people and keeping it edible is difficult. Our room was quiet but I know a good friend who stayed had noisy neighbours till five in the morning. I know that is not your fault but it might be good to stipulated to each occupant that noise will not be tolerated after a certain time like they do on camp sites.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and of good size. There was at least one comfortable club-style chair in each standard room, 2 in better rooms. In each room there is a writing desk, a suitcase stand plus plenty of drawers. The bathrooms were in excellent condition. The best part is free access to the swimming pool and steam room. The staff were all very helpful. I have a big long van and there were plenty of parking areas. I would be happy to stay there again but please see my other comments.

Bear in mind that my hearing is poor, having been an engineer in a noisy environment most of my working life. The walls in the lodges were thin and I was kept awake by someone next door with a particularly noisy cough. I could hear people talking on both sides. On the above dates I stayed in the mansion (room 8, top front) on the first night. I was kept awake by passing lorries, despite the building having double glazing and curtains. The staff found me another room for the following night and it was ok (despite there being a New Years Eve party). The staff seem to have problems with their software. It got my room price (agreed with Booking.com) wrong and seemed to have its own idea about how many breakfasts I had booked. I overheard several other people with the same issue over meals

The first room i was allocated was not great. It was outisde in the village area which was upstaira and with a door to the outside. Noisy and very basic. I asked to move to the main building as a single female I preferred not to be in the grounds like a motel. The gentleman at the Front desk kindly found me a lovely quiet room in the main building.

The first room in the village area was basic and motel like. The radiator unfortunately in the main building room made noise all night which I turned off at the wall when I realised. The room had been newly decorated so the maid said that was the problem and she would get maintenance. Sadly I had already had a sleepless night with the noise.

Staff were good and tried to sort out room problems. Breakfast was plentiful and again staff were very professional. Comfortable bed, clean linen and towels. Lots of hot water, decent shower. Didn't use pool this time but it looked very appealing.

Stayed here 2 years ago and we were very impressed but this time we were quite disappointed, especially as we chose it for a Christmas stay. The bedrooms are looking tired and bathrooms need better ventilation. Very dusty and general feel of grubbiness with furnishings and carpet. There were no extras supplied, as advertised, in rooms. We had upgraded our original booking to get some water, fruit and coffee machine etc. but shouldn't have bothered as these were not available.

George who served my dinner in the restuarant (upstairs) was saving grace, I gave up on eating in the bar when I couldnt get a drink despite being the only person at the bar downstais...

Took an AGE to get served at the bar, despite few patrons and plenty of staff, everyone seemed busy with till driven admin that had spiraled into some sort of team building activity. That and the golf course was closed for maintenance, when it was my main reason for booking - but staff were apologetic and the green keepers activities trump my plans, glad to have a reason to come back.

1. Amazing staff, always smiling and exceptionally helpful. Everyone made me feel welcome, I could not fault a single person. Best customer service overall. 2. The hotel was clean overall, although more attention should be paid to air vents as they were filthy everywhere without exception. 3. Lovely grounds, well kept. 4. The food was delicious, compliments to the chef.

I chose this particular hotel as it was advertised as 'pet friendly'. However, I would certainly not recommend it as such because: 1. There were absolutely no waste disposal bins anywhere on the grounds, apart from those at the golf range. Dog waste bags had to be left outside and have not been cleaned for days. 2. Dogs were not welcomed anywhere, apart from a designated area between the restaurant and bar. I had to either leave him in the room alone or take him with me and sit alone, away from the rest of the guests. I found it the most pet un-friendly hotel I have ever visited. 3. The charge of £25 per night paid for the luxury of having a dog with me in a place where he was not made to feel welcome was a joke.

The site is spotless. We had a standard room , but even so, it was comfortable with all the amenities needed. The bar area and quiet rooms are well furnished and again spotless. The restaurant is excellent, serving very good food. The staff were so attentive and could not do enough. The swimming pool was nice and again helpful staff who did all they could. We liked that we were able to bring our dog with is.

The main concern for me was that there are no bins on the site and especially for poo bags. The golf course, although separate from the hotel, would have been nice to walk around, but there are no complete walkways. It's a shame as the course looks quite beautiful to wander around on.
