Considering we wasn’t meant to be staying here as I booked the Lea Marston hotel which booking which didn’t meet our requirements due to the timings of the pool for kids. The windmill village hotel not allowed children in the pool the whole time but the staff were different gravy. They couldn’t do enough for me and my 8 year old daughter to spend some quality time together. We didn’t want to leave, they let my daughter play in the chill out area, why I could enjoy time with her and also watch the Golf course being enjoyed by all ages of people which is great to see being a keen golfer. There are comments on here saying it’s dated, yes it slightly is but so is the Ritz. Those comments are not really necessary when you can leave the doors of that hotel and said, that has been an amazing weekend with my daughter. I could write all day about the hotel but my last thing to say is Thank you so much for making my daughter feel very special x

That I didn’t choose this hotel from the start. Don’t be put off from the Negative comments, it’s people having a bad day and taking it out on others. This Hotel deserves full praises only.

Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, hot shower with lovely toiletries provided. All staff were helpful, friendly. Breakfast was limited but hot and tasty. Sauna and steam room were lovely.

Coffee at breakfast was poured from a shared pot from stagg but wasnt very nice. A cappuccino style machine would be a bonus to this restaurant! Unfortunately the pool and jacuzzi let the facilities down. The water was freezing! The 'jacuzzi' was conjoined to the pool, sharing the same cold water but with bubbles... even the swimming teacher teaching children to swim was wearing a wet suit to keep warm! Very disappointed with this.

The stuff was nice, and very helpful, the place was nice, the view from the room was nice. The cocktails were amazing, strongly recommend. Very good breakfast, we had a pizza from the restaurant which was really tasty. We did not try Loft restaurant, but we will probably try it next time. The pool, steam room and sauna were fine, but the water in the jacuzzi was too cold for a jacuzzi.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, also the pillows, waking up with pain. We found in the room, on the floor, a deodorant which did not belong to us, and also the toliet has not been clean after the other people before us, as there was "signs". Cleaning is quite important for health, so maybe this is a thing that might be taken more seriously.

Lovely hotel and beautiful view across the golf course. Hotel was great about accommodating our request to switch from twin beds to a double bed. We stayed because of the pool, which was lovely and in particular we stayed as there was a sauna and that was really nice too. Steam room also nice. Only downside in the pool area is that the jacuzzi is integrated into the pool so it’s pool temperature and not hot. However this worked well for after sauna (after showering of course). The food was actually really good. We both had a really nice pasta dish. Quality was above what you often get in hotels. Vegan options a little limited though - when they were out of the vegan starter there was zero alternative option. But still bar and restaurant had marked vegan options. The breakfast was also really nice with vegan sausages provided on request.

The electric charging cost is very high here so do not recommend using that. We didn’t need to so was fine but worth bearing in mind. At breakfast they don’t have a coffee machine or proper coffee menu - they just bring out filter coffee. They ran out of oat milk so we only had enough for one cup (we went to breakfast 8:30 on the weekend so not late). Not all rooms have robes so we didn’t get robes. There are towels provided at the pool so we just walked down in our clothes and changed there so not a huge issue but you might want to bring one. There was a wedding on so food took a very long time - sure this could be planned for a little better.

We had a wonderful experience of one night stay in Windmill Village Hotel. It's located in a beautiful and easily accessible place. The hotel was clean, the staff were flexible & friendly, nicely decorated, and has a comfortable bed.

Another reason I booked this hotel was the promise of beautiful views and walking around the garden and pond. Unfortunately, we discovered that the 'garden' area was actually a golf course, and we were restricted from accessing it entirely for safety reasons. This crucial detail was completely absent from their website or any booking materials.

On arrival before going inside the grounds was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, in the evening we ate in the cellar the Thai Green curry was the best we’d had. We visited the for gin experience which was amazing and consider returning for the cocktail experience. Lauren facilitated this, her knowledge was great and she was so welcoming and friendly. Credit to the team. The gentleman who also served us in the evening and made cocktails in the Vault at the end of the night also is a credit again very friendly polite and welcoming.

We did miss not having a kettle on the room had we have known we would have brought our own with mugs etc. The only other thing which isn’t a quick fix is the lack of plug sockets and not having any by the bed.

Location, views of the golf course, the bar area, especially vault 52. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

Some areas are looking tired. Rooms need refurbishments. There was only one towel in a double room with two guests. The lampshade in room 304 was literally just balancing and kept tilting. There were multiple curly black hairs all over the bed and one pillowcase had some pink/red stains and look liked it had been used and not washed. Because they had a prom we were not allowed to use the car chargers even though we needed to charge our car as we were going out later, so had to get an uber.

Good location with parking. The Spa was the main reason we booked this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It was clean with all facilities in working order. Big pool and even though some bookings are just for the spa it wasn’t crowded. Tue spa is from 9:00 until 21:30 so plenty time to enjoy it without being limited. Breakfast was really tasty and the omelet was great. The team in the restaurant are really welcoming and helpful.

Standard Double rooms need updating. Not enough plugs in the room, only one next to the bed for the lamp. Lighting is very minimal, 2 lamps in the room and a sky window which has blinds for the night which is good.

Upon arrival staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy! We had nice views across the golf course and it was quiet. The price of the stay included being able to use the facilities on site so we made full use of the gym, swimming pool and sauna in the morning before the checkout time of 11am (we took the towels from the room and they were happy to replace them for showers once we returned to the room).

The breakfast was ok, we went later after using the gym facilities so some items had run out or were low stocked. We waited a while for coffee to arrive at the table and asked several times for cutlery that never appeared so we decided to take some off a nearby set up table.

The views are spectacular outside seating very comfortable the restaurant was quite busy but not noisy the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful the pool was lovely a little cold the first day we were there but very pleasant to swim . However only a very small issue was that the jacuzzi was very strong with chlorine made our eyes sting but on the whole a fantastic few days away we will definitely be coming back

Our neighbours were quite noisy were arguing from midi night until 1.30 a little to much chlorine in the jacuzzi
