The majority of staff go out of their way to help - especially the reception and bar staff in the granary bar. Helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The reception staff offer advice on local things to do as well as practical advice for travelling around. The rooms are lovely and the housekeeping staff do a wonderful job of servicing them - even at short notice! The 3 nights we spent there were relaxed and enjoyable.

The only thing that went wrong was a couple of orders at the old mill restaurant. For dinner our order was incorrect and although the wait staff were very helpful about it, they also asked a lot of questions which was a little uncomfortable. Although we got a discount on the bill, we weren't overly happy with the experience and we ate elsewhere the next 2 nights. Then at breakfast, I was delivered a plate completely different to what I ordered and when I pointed this out, the wait staff were not bothered at all, just said that it was busy and they didn't check the order...

A beautiful hotel with very welcoming staff! Free parking at back of the hotel! Our room was at the front of the hotel, looking out over the canal, very spacious and well equipped, air conditioning, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits Wifi is strong throughout the hotel. A fridge with fresh milk and room to store soft drinks. In the corridor there's a fresh filtered water machine which is a lovely touch. The bathroom is large with an over bath shower with luxury shower gel/hand soap/ hand cream. In the wardrobe there are robes and slippers for use in the Spa which has a pool, relaxing beds beside it and very comfortable wicker " pod" chairs (i fell asleep in one for over an hour) Breakfast the next morning was very good, large array of continental dishes, breads and cereals and a choice of cooked breakfasts served by lovely staff.

My only slight criticism are the beds beside the pool, they are quite hard and uncomfortable to lie on, which is why I sat on the big chair! , could definitely do with a mattress on them

The hotel is impressive and the staff welcoming. We had breakfast every day. The breakfast was OK but the choice limited - I was hoping fish may have been included. We had one evening meal with family. This meal was very good and a thumbs up by everyone. The room(s) were very clean and bedding made every day - no complaints on that issue.

Unfortunately, there was no heating in the first room I was allocated. The shower did not work properly and I was overlooked by a roof top with noisy Air Conditioning Units. My room was changed to a room at the far end of my sister's floor. Again, there was an issue with the heating. I reported the shower and heating problem(s) with the management and was told a refund of £70.00 will added to my credit card

I enjoyed our room and the free spa facilities offered at the hotel so you actually feel like your getting your moneys worth by using the hot tubs and pool ect, the food and bar is really good too maybe food is on the pricey side but definitely worth it and the staff are helpful and we actually liked how there is a water fountain in the halls of the rooms and its ice cold water aswell! The rooms are all big enough and the bathrooms have always been clean when we stay

however one down thing is our fridge wasn’t working it was completely warm so are drinks and everything were warm but thats okay not really anyones fault, i will add tho that personally im a cold person and even though there is heating and massive beds id like to see an actual throw or blanket in the room and not maybe a bigger tv unless you ger that maybe in a more expensive room, an option to log into your Netflix or something too would be nice.

Huge room, comfortable bed and convenient. On a business trip without a car doesn't make Newry easy to get to, but from outside Dublin airport the X1 bus will take you to opposite the hotel in about an hour, once an hour. Cooked to order breakfast looked amazing but sadly didn't have time to try it. Has lots of extras I didn't have time to try such as fitness centre and spa etc. Loved that you're welcomed into the hotel into an old style open lounge with a fire to warm the room. Very cozy. Staff friendly and helpful. Old school hospitality with a little luxury.

The breakfast was incredible. The staff in the Canal Court were wonderful. We had the best time at The Fureys and NYE. Loved the view from our room.

We stayed for 2nights but unfortunately our room the 2nd day we didn’t receive any fresh towels or beds hadn’t been made while we had been out. We felt the prices of the room were high for what we got. And that for the high price we paid for the room that breakfast should have been included.

Everything went well. The bars and restaurant were so good ate and relaxed there every night. The rooms were spotless, well equipped and with beautiful views over the canal and city. Newry is such a gem of a place to spend a week. Ample parking with a Dunnes nearby. Really relaxing experience. Wed absolutely love to stay at Canal Court again soon. Thank you to all the staff for your kind hospitality.

Gosh, this is a struggle, everything was perfect. At a push, one night there were no GF pizza bases but that only led me to try the chicken supreme which was superb.

Comfortable Hotel in excellent location for our business trip. Welcoming Staff and they were Energetic and professional in all departments we encountered. Lunch and breakfast was delicious . Water dispensing facilities for bedrooms was much appreciated. Well done! On site Parking. Looking forward to returning. Go raibh mhaith agat go leir. 10/10

Myself and my partner have stayed here on many occasions now..and at different times of the year..it is always great..the rooms are excellent and the meals are exquisite...and u will never find a more helpful staff anywhere else..nothings a problem...there is also a carvery every day from midday..the food is excellent..and the desserts are great..breakfasts always have like a buffet..fresh fruit..cereals..teas.coffees..fresh orange juice..the frys are great..omelets etc.you will struggle to find fault anywhere in this hotel..the staff are a credit..book this place now !!!

We have stayed there before. Great location, by Newry's canal, near the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable and big enough to relax in. Reception was amazing, let us check in early after an early morning ferry and a few hours doing sightseeing in other towns. They were also great at letting us know when relatives had called in to see us. The laundry service was quick and cheap. The swimming pool is excellent. The bar areas are beautiful, and lively, and the bar food great. We also ate in the restaurant one night, and the food was amazing. There is free parking, which is always a bonus. I recommend the Canal Court to anybody wanting to stay in Newry.
