The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The evening meal was great - it's more restaurant than pub these days although there is always local ale available.

The pricing model for breakfast doesn't suit us (it is additional to the room price). We have a light breakfast (juice, bowl of cereal, coffee or tea). For this we paid the price of a continental breakfast so pretty expensive for what we got. We did know this before we arrived (we have stayed here before) and that we could have had more for the cost - just don't want it. I admit it won't stop us staying again but something we have to factor into the price comparison.

The pub was very nice and cosy the staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. The room we stayed in was comfortable and spacious as we had our dog with us. The room facilities were adequate for a one night stay. We eat dinner at The Kings Inn and this was lovely food was local produce good choice on the menu and equally good wine list. Local ales were also very good. For us location was easy accessible to Oakham and the Rutland lakes.

The cost of the room did not include breakfast which I was not aware of when I booked the room. I feel that for the price of one night breakfast should be included. After looking at other B&B’s mostly include breakfast. You can pay separately and preorder a breakfast the night before. Trouble with that is you do not necessarily know what you want until you wake up the next day!

The peaceand quiet. The unusual menu, although it was a bit pricey. The very comfy bed. The attentiveness of the staff. Lots of secure car parking space.

The decor in our room was a bit peculiar, no doubt due to the age of the buildings. The Tv in our room was supported directly in front and near the window, the curtains were cheap and wiggly...and the carpet had an iron burn mark on it and was coming away from the securing strip on the steps to the toilet.There was only space for one comfortable chair, the second one was ancient and plain.The hanging baskets etc. were in need of replenishment...maybe early season?

The staff were so friendly. The food was amazing. The room was comfortable and the bed superb. The bathroom was clean but a little dark as the lights were very dim, so although there was a magnified glass in there, I was unable to put on my make-up as it was too dark in there. Minor thing though as there was a mirror in the bedroom so I managed. Everything else made up for that! Would definitely stay again. 👌

Only that the bathroom was a bit dark. Which different bulbs would fix. Otherwise just lovely !

Liked the location in a quiet village. The bar and restaurant were superb with great selection of ales and the locally sourced food was tasty. The on-site smoke house with home made sausages, salami etc. added a unique twist to the menu. After we ordered the charcuterie board for starters we could hear the salami and ham being freshly sliced. A unique experience for us! Breakfast: Fresh eggs from the on-site free range hens for breakfast were awesome and had very very orange yolks. I'd say if you were looking for a gut-buster english breakfast you would be disappointed, but it more than made up for it with quality. The home-made sausages were delicious and meaty without being fatty. The staff were helpful too, as we had arrived on bikes which needed secure storage. The staff were understanding and found a good safe spot for the bikes.

We got in at about 5pm, and the bar opened at 6pm which was a bit late for us as we had cycled in and we were very thirsty (it was 25 C and roasting!). Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have had a chilled beer in the beer-garden to relax before unpacking our gear. Maybe a mini-fridge in the accommodation reception with a couple of soft drinks for each resident would have been nice?

Set in a quiet location, the staff were very polite, accommodating and professional at all times. The bar/ restaurant areas were very clean and well presented. The food was delicious and the menu was somewhat different??? But in a good way. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very clean , my only minus ( being a bit picky here I know) but the shower, although nice and hot, was not that well positioned. Making it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy. The owner was very helpful and down to earth. We would certainly recommend staying here, and if we are in the area again, will do so ourselves.

Friendly and accamdating staff, nothing to much trouble. A great atmosphere. The food is top-notch and generous. Locally sourced and a list of suppliers and their location in relation to the Kings Arms displayed on a map of Rutiand Water, which is just a mile or two away. The location is fantastic, relaxing, and peaceful. An antidote to the hassle and bustle of modern life. Very clean and well maintained. Ample sized car park owned by the venue. Excellent reliable WiFi. Good value for money. Recommended.

Location,location,location. Wing is a picture postcard village with an interesting history located near to Rutland water and its leisure facilities.It was the annual scarecrow competition when we stayed .The restaurant and rooms are located in buildings of historical significance. The dining menu has some different dishes from locally sourced produce.

Restaurant closed Sunday pm but it was to give staff time off. Given difficulty recruiting in hospitality sector understandable.

Location gorgeous, loved the character of the buildings. Staff attentive and helpful. Liked checking in ourselves with our names on a sheet to tick off. Highly recommended.

Would have like a non-slip mat in the bath and maybe a handrail to hold in the shower for stability (we're both around 80 but have no problem with stairs).

Great staff, atmosphere, food and facilities

No option to eat on arrival after long day on Wednesday. Having driven for 5.5 hours and worked for 4 hours solidly it would have been great to have had access to a meal without having to think about getting in the car and driving off again!
