Excellent vegetarian breakfast with selection of yogurts, eggs, hot cereals and fruit available and well prepared. French press coffee and good selection of teas. Fiona and Dominic are great hosts and will really make you feel welcome. Fiona graciously shared her extensive knowledge of the Cornwall area and helped us plan our days according to the weather. She also provided laminated maps of ancient sites, walking trails and other things to do. Very nicely done and really useful. Several dining options and pubs just 5 minutes walking distance and a fun town center. Everyone we met was genuinely nice and willing to repeat what they said so our American ears could understand it. Cornwall is absolutely beautiful and all the folks we met along the way were great.

All around a very nice option for staying in Cornwall.

This was a lovely little B&B in a typical Cornish town. The hosts were great, they found out we had a booking for a concert at the open air Minack Theatre on the cliffs & provided us with cushions & blankets (which were greatfully accepted and also needed, even though it was Summer, the weather was perfect and the sea was like glass!). Breakfast was also good and timed so that they can give each guest the attention the hosts would like to provide. Car parking is around the corner in a free public car parking area & is perfectly safe. It's a 5 minute walk into St Just where there are shops, some galleries & pubs. It's also a short drive to other areas such as Penzance, St Ives.

No negatives about this B&B, you just need to be aware of the tiny Cornish roads & lanes when you're driving around.

If I could, I would have stayed here longer! What an amazing property and place!! Communication was prompt. And when you got to the B&B, everyone was very friendly. The room was clean, private, and quie, also dark. I cannot tell you enough how clean it was. The parking is 2 minutes walking distance and it was a very safe location. Breakfast is beyond amazing! You have a many choices and the smoothie..... I Fiona hooked me on the delicious smoothies! I could taste the love! Location was great, went everywhere I wanted to go.

Women might want to bring their own conditioner.

Our host was lovely and very informative to help navigate the area and helping out with walks that we could do. The room was beautifully presented and the dining room and tables were set up very well with particular attention to detail. The breakfast selection was amazing and very nice. Loads of printed information to read. Easy to find and check in a breeze as we happened to turn up early and our hosts lets us in. Parking was a close 2min walk around the corner and free and the pubs, shops etc were a 5min walk away.

I stayed at this B&B 15-16 of May 2024 and it's one of the most cosy and beautiful places I have stayed at. Fiona is a wonderful host and gives you lots of information about the region, it's history and what to see. The Old Post House is beautifully decorated and you feel at home as soon as Fiona greets you at the door. A nice and peaceful room can be used for yoga or relaxation (yoga mats are available for guests). The rooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean. I loved this place! I even sent photos to my daughter who is a designer, to show her how lovely it was ❤. Unfortunately the place has been victim of a spam saying that the bathrooms are not clean. This is absolutely not true! Everything is perfectly clean. And the breakfast was delicious!

There is nothing I didn't like

A beautifully restored building with a relaxed homely feel just a short walk away from the town. Very warm friendly welcome from the owners who were extremely accommodating and offered lots of useful local knowledge . Really like the lounge space for relaxing even though we didn’t really get to use it as much as we’d liked.

Parking was a short walk away but was a little inconvenient in the unpredictable wet weather.

Very pleasant and attentive host. Well-appointed, tastefully decorated cosy room. Close to the town centre and all that it offers. Good advice on where to eat locally. Generous breakfast offerings. Dinner at the nearby Commerical Hotel was a step-up from standard pub offerings.

Not keen having to leave room to attend bathroom, albeit a private bathroom. A little anxious about leaving the car in a public carpark despite reassurances.

Fiona and Dom are very welcoming and helpful. They have made the room very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is excellent. As we had booked to see a performance at the Minsk they were extremely good in giving us advice and lending us gear to help us keep warm and comfortable for the evening session.

We were very happy with everything.

Our room was a small, cozy, quiet room with an ensuite. It was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. There was a kettle, tea, and coffee in the room. Fiona, the host, was great. She recommended places to eat and made the reservation for us. The food was delicious. She gave us a number of choices for breakfast and all the dishes were nicely prepared and presented. (There was ample food) Fiona provided information about the local sites, including Poldark filming sites and information about the old tin mines in the area. Parking was off-site in the free parking lot provided by the town. It was close by, about 300 feet from the B&B. The rooms, 3 of them, are on the second floor, and they offered to carry the luggage up and down the stairs.

The Old Post House B&B is one of the finest stays we have had in a very long time, possibly ever. Truly, everything was perfect. Fiona and Dom are wonderful hosts and have thought of all the little things. They are friendly, give great local information, and have developed their own hiking guides to the area. The space is relaxing and comfortable from the yoga/sitting room, to the bedroom, to the dining room, all were fantastic. We would highly encourage you to book a stay with The Old Post House and explore this fascinating area.
