Despite being told that we would be allocated a room on the ground floor we were placed on the second !; It was no great problem tho as we were quite near the elevator; (One can "ALWAYS" find something to moan about if you look hard enough & there are thoes who do!) The room heating did NOT work and we were given a portable heater; having been offerd a room change we opted to stay where we were as we had unpacked being there for four days; Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them; Breakfast was like all the other expresse's we have stayed in, was excallent with a great varity of fresh well cooked and presented options (No fried eggs unfortunatly as with the rect of the chain)

The TV is on the blink with the the backlight going on & off, did'nt bother us too much as were wern't there to watch TV, couldnt acess my IHG account so lost the points for our stay !

The room was clean and tidy ,looked like it was cleaned everyday, bed was made daily. There was heating that I could adjust to my liking. Breakfast and coffee made a great start to day was always hot and perfectly cooked. Staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of parking there, although I wasn't driving on this trip. Inside building and outside very clean and free from any litter. Also liked how quiet it was. I could not hear the main road that it was on. Ideally situated for the places I had to visit.

Not a lot could have been better really. The one thing I might suggest ( having come from somewhere a little behind the times compared to mainland UK, that doesn't use hotel key-cards yet ) is a run through on how the key-card works for doors and lights. A very minor thing that I figured out quick enough.

I always stay here when I come down to visit my mum, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Due to my health issues and dairy intolerance they cater for that. Highly recommend people to stay at the hotel.

Found the pillows uncomfortable but next time I just bring my own, I have difficulty sleeping due to my disability so I'm finding different beds and pillow uncomfortable but that's no reflection on the hotel. Found the room got cold at night time but put the heating on, blasts out heat, so then turned it off.

Two comfortable nights here. The room was pretty standard for this level of hotel which was absolutely fine. Although the room faced onto the busy A229 it was surprisingly quiet. Bathroom all good and the shower was easy to operate. Breakfast was as you'd expect, and with a reasonable range of options.

I tried the free WiFi but it appeared to work for about 5 seconds then dropped out and I couldn't get it to reconnect. Used 5G hotspot instead (O2 5G is reasonable at this location). There is a PodPoint EV charger with two outlets but neither were working which was disappointing. If you drive an EV and need a top up there's a GeniePoint 50kW CCS/Chademo/AC charge point at the 'Smugglers Retreat' across the road.

I really liked how friendly the staff were upon mine and my partner's arrival. The staff working on the day were very accommodating, making us feel so appreciated for being guests at the hotel. I liked the comfort of the room, combined with the choice of hard and soft pillows. The breakfast was exceptional, the hashbrowns were to die for.

I would say that the only downside was the heating of the room. It wasn't necessarily cold but I would've liked if the controls of the air conditioning/heating units were a bit easier to navigate.

Looks shabby from the outside, but inside is completely different. Fresh, clean and well presented. Reception area, bar, toilets etc were all clean and comfortable. Buffet area for breakfast, excellent. Presentation of food and beverages excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean apart from staining on settee. A laundry problem we had was rectified immediately. Shower excellent, air con was a blessing and worked a treat.

Stained settee. Noisy road but with window closed and AC on, it was fine. Room lighting wasn't great, especially the bed side lamps.

The bed could have been better - I requested a change from twin bed room to double but the bed turned out to be two singles zipped together - not very comfortable! Mattress topper not sufficient for comfort . And they were hard mattresses !

A last minute booking that went very well. The very friendly and helpful welcome, in the clean, well-ordered reception went very smoothly. The whole place was spotless. The well maintained bedroom , with its comfy bed, was equally as super clean. The view over the fields, out the back, were appreciated. The included breakfast was great and hit the right note and why we chose this hotel over others, so we were pleased that we weren't disappointed. All in all, a great stay at a good price. We will stay again.

We had a fab stay, Room clean and comfortable with good facilities, staff were extremely helpful & polite, nothing too much trouble kudos to them. Especially house keeping, Whole Hotel seemed clean and bright, nice bar area, & plenty seating for breakfast etc, Breakfast was good plenty of options, we didnt eat off the main menu so can't comment on that. We'd definitely stay here again 😁

Crossing over to the local shop/garage bit dangerous but nothing Hotel can do about that.

The location at a nodal point helped getting to the event we were attending. And we had a terrible journey. But we were greeted warmly and given access to the room we had booked early. We had an excellent breakfast within the limited price. We will remember the hotel when we need to visit the area again. We occupied a room for the disabled as we are both ancient. And it served us well.

Nothing: it was all perfect.
