This is the second Holiday Inn I have stayed at recently. Both have been excellent. Comfortable rooms which are also quiet. Bathrooms are fine with good showers. I requested the sofa bed to be made up since I was staying with my son and it was done. Breakfast is excellent (only downside is scrambled egg often over-cooked which is a shame) and this one had superb coffee from the self-serve machines. Free wi-fi worked well.

Not much! Some noise from the busy dual carriageway when we had the window open. Car park was very busy but managed to find a space. Remember to register your car registration in reception.

Breakfast was good but no fried egg ? Just scrambled ., nice room, good car park , pleasant staff ..

All good...and tiny complaint was at breakfast just before 10 a.m ...they had ran out of hash browns ..I mentioned this to a female member of staff ..who said there are some on the way... just after 10 am I saw a guy with a plate of hash browns walk past me towards the buffet counters. .. I went to the buffet counters and still no hash browns..??? I mentioned to a young male member if staff ..he said his colleague just brought a tray of them out ... I sad I know I saw it ..and asked where they had gone ..he said no idea and that breakfast was just about to end .. ..not very helpful .. so I jokingly said where did the tray if hash browns go ..did the guy just throw them onto the car park???

Despite being told that we would be allocated a room on the ground floor we were placed on the second !; It was no great problem tho as we were quite near the elevator; (One can "ALWAYS" find something to moan about if you look hard enough & there are thoes who do!) The room heating did NOT work and we were given a portable heater; having been offerd a room change we opted to stay where we were as we had unpacked being there for four days; Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them; Breakfast was like all the other expresse's we have stayed in, was excallent with a great varity of fresh well cooked and presented options (No fried eggs unfortunatly as with the rect of the chain)

The TV is on the blink with the the backlight going on & off, did'nt bother us too much as were wern't there to watch TV, couldnt acess my IHG account so lost the points for our stay !

The staff was amazing from start to finish! As soon as we walked in after a rough long drive, we arrived at 9pm and I was carrying lots of bags and staff immediately offered to help us to our rooms which took me by surprise for sure On the second morning we was late for breakfast as didnt realise it was 9.30 finish but they was kind and let my children eat when we arrived at 9.40 and even went to get my daughter some croissants who is a very picky eater so I would definitely stay her again and recommend to anyone who was to visit ransgate and Broadstairs

Nothing we didnt like

Staff is extremely helpful, serving and always ready to help. Breakfast is very great! Check-out is at 11!! Which gives you plenty of time to get ready! We do love the location and a 10 min drive to the beach is a pleasure since there is no traffic and you just drive through the field. MCDonalds is 3 min away by walk from the hotel and mini-Asda store as well: so, if you get hungry at night, you can easily walk to McDonalds. We stayed in more expensive hotels but honestly: it is cleaness and welcoming of staff that make your stay nice and pleasant. So far, we liked it!

Not sure what is there not to like in this hotel

This hotel exceeded my expectations, the staff were so kind and accommodating. They even went anice and beyond to help my friends who had trouble returning home to London after an event. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was also better than some of the breakfasts I’ve had in 5 star hotels! I went for a full English and it really hit the spot, especially the hash browns and sausages. The hotel is also opposite a 24 hour Asda express and McDonald’s which really came in handy. I will be returning to Margate/ Ramsgate next year for an event and i will definitely stay here again.

The only drawback is that there are no Ubers in the area, it’s probably not an issue for most people, I’m just accustomed to this as a Londoner haha. The staff were super helpful as always and provided a handy list of local taxi numbers so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Just leave a little extra time for the cab to arrive and you’ll be all good :)

The location is perfect for a short break for Kent coast with beautiful sandy beaches. We took our dog and the staff were very accommodating with her.

The bed was extremely hard and affected our sleep. We have stayed at this hotel before and the bed was fine that time. The only other point is that whilst the breakfast I had was lovely, I asked for bread, and the yoghurt and fruit compote to be replenished. The compote never appeared. It was 9.15am and breakfast is served until 9.30am. All foods should be available until 9.30am.

Good choice of items for breakfast, cooked food was hot. Room was clean and house keeping were excellent

Our room was double with sofa bed as sharing with friend. Sofa bed not made up, reception staff were excellent on providing bedding etc and setting up. Unfortunately no mattress cover available, first night very uncomfortable due to springs and mattress that had seen better days. However staff provided extra duvet to go on top of mattress the following day. This was the only negative on our stay.

The room was clean and tidy ,looked like it was cleaned everyday, bed was made daily. There was heating that I could adjust to my liking. Breakfast and coffee made a great start to day was always hot and perfectly cooked. Staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of parking there, although I wasn't driving on this trip. Inside building and outside very clean and free from any litter. Also liked how quiet it was. I could not hear the main road that it was on. Ideally situated for the places I had to visit.

Not a lot could have been better really. The one thing I might suggest ( having come from somewhere a little behind the times compared to mainland UK, that doesn't use hotel key-cards yet ) is a run through on how the key-card works for doors and lights. A very minor thing that I figured out quick enough.

I always stay here when I come down to visit my mum, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Due to my health issues and dairy intolerance they cater for that. Highly recommend people to stay at the hotel.

Found the pillows uncomfortable but next time I just bring my own, I have difficulty sleeping due to my disability so I'm finding different beds and pillow uncomfortable but that's no reflection on the hotel. Found the room got cold at night time but put the heating on, blasts out heat, so then turned it off.
