The location was beautiful lovely grounds and it went very well with the old and the new buildings very smart. Lovely to see the Peacocks and other birds plus the rabbits. plus we did manage to go for a quick dip in the swimming pool which was a nice treat for two pensioners

I was not very comfy with the mattress & pillows to hard for myself but my partner was fine. Day 2 the breakfast was not like our first day we had to sort out ourself's but they had a wedding on day one and we did not find our cooked breakfast straight away didn't want to intrude with the wedding breakfast which was layed out in another room but we managed in the end.

The hotel was very grand looking and had a great history. It had a very large car park which made getting in easy and we stayed in one of the suites which had a fantastic lounge area and kitchenette below a very large bedroom and great bathroom. The wooden beams and joists from the original building are features in the accommodation which gave it an interesting character completely in keeping with the other architecture. The staff were super-helpful and the area was very quiet, so it was a great night's sleep. In the morning, the breakfast was very good and overall it was exceptional value for the suite.

Excellent location and the building had lots of character and charm

The staff, though very helpful, seemed overwhelmed but the Sunday breakfast rush (wedding party staying there) so food ran out and no tables free in the breakfast room. When more hot food arrived there was no cutlery. Quickly resolved but a bit chaotic.

The room was comfortable and clean. Dinner and breakfast were good. Staff were friendly. Lovely old building with lots of hidden features. Great location and value for money.

Wedding reception was on in conservatory and garden so a little noisy. One wedding guest had a bit too much to drink and was sick in the dining room so a little off putting.but the staff handled it brilliantly.

This was an exceptional stay for us. Beautiful surroundings, with fabulous accommodation, and wonderful staff, who were friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. Thank you to Lily, Kelly and Lewis for your care and consideration, making our stay so lovely.

Beautiful place/ surroundings.

Room was very small, bed facing the bathroom, room not very well thought out.Couldn't do hair or make up when sat down in chair as couldn't see in the mirror,too high. Lighting in that area poor. No shelf in bathroom to put make up bag had to do make up there due to poor lighting in other area. Couldn't have what was on offer for breakfast as run out of ingredients.

Coffee machine out of order more than working. We stayed in a first floor room and all 3 of us had spooky experiences! Over the period of two night we were woken in the night after being patted on the back and whispers in our ears

If I could find fault bathroom sealant needs removing and replacing as its unsightly but couldn't fault with anything else lovely visit

Its a 16th century manor house full of history & has lovely gardens, a beautiful setting. All of the staff were brilliant very cheerful and engaging.

One minor point, there was a minor repetitive noise through the night in our cottage room 108. Sounded like a jack hammer in the distance. Could have been a water hammer perhaps but not sure why it was repeating?

The location suited what we were on holiday for.

We stayed for a week, this is not the norm, so more attention to long stay guest requirements. When asked the hotel provided.
