Close to Ferry port for early morning sailing. Rooms were clean tidy and have everything you would need for a nights rest. Lots of local food places nearby who deliver and parking right outside the room doors. We used this to stop at after work before heading for early morning sailing on cairnryan port. Arrived later in the evening and left very early morning. Host was very accommodating and left our room accessible for us without the hassle of waiting and checking in after a long nights journey. Would definitely use this place again.

Was a bit harder to find at first but that was due to sat nav directions other than that had everything we needed.

The room was perfect for an overnight stay prior to catching an early ferry. There was parking in a car park directly outside the room. The room was basic, with a bed, 2 chairs and the means to make a hot drink, but this was exactly what was required The bed was very comfortable, but the only slight niggle is the duvet was too heavy for July which was slightly uncomfortable. The hotel was quiet apart from an early morning seagull, but that was not the hotel's fault! And it was ideally situated for an evening meal near the centre of town. I would definitely use this place again.

The owner came to meet us on arrival, he removed furniture to make the room easier for the wheelchair user, he brought us a heater just in case we needed it. Good free wi-fi. Very convenient location to the town centre. Beds were comfy. Very Clear instructions on a notice board in the room.

The driveway to the property was a challenge as I have a large vehicle and the wall was not flat on each side. Bathrooms need a bit updating and carpets

The room was clean, comfortable and because entry was from the car park felt private. The area was quiet and was within walking distance to shops and places to eat. The host was excellent and made sure we knew to call if we needed any extra towels etc or if there was a problem ( which we didn't need to do). We were within short driving distance to some beautiful areas and had an amazing time here,

Local to all facilities etc. Offered good clean and comfortable accommodation and parking.

I commented to the owner that I found the room very cold on the first day and the heating did not kick in till late on. This was mainly due to the accommodation being in the shade during the day and recommended small heating devices or other controls for it.

I have stayed here before, so the fact that I returned is a good sign. I find that the Thistle Inn is very conveniently located within easy walking distance of the town center, breakfast is not available but Morrisons with its cafe is just around the corner. For me the Thistle Inn has a feel good feeling.

I had to go so early to catch the ferry.

Sandy was very friendly and helpful. Good location very near to a supermarket and restaurants. Accommodation was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Electric Shower provided a good hot water supply. On site parking was handy. Overall good value for money.

En suite bathroom was not the largest but it was adequate.

The beds were very comfy. Actual mugs with the tea and coffee facilities. 15 minutes drive from Cairnryan. A couple of minutes walk away from a very reasonably priced Italian restaurant. On site parking. Perfect for an overnight stay before the ferry. Didn't actually meet any staff. There was a phone number to ring. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Some of the facilities could do with an update.

Room was cozy and very clean. Sandy the owner was so lovely and very helpful. Told us to park the Harley under his living room window away from view. Also, if there was anything we needed, i.e.,more towels, etc, just ask.

There was nothing at all to dislike about the Thistle Inn.

Cleanliness and availability for the early morning traveller

I arrived at 02:30, as I'd made my way over on the last boat from Larne.i was dismayed to find the place locked up tight and had to use a bit of lateral thinking to look round the back. All's well in the long run however. Wish I could have stayed longer.
