Absolutely loved my stay at The Angel Guesthouse in Tiverton! The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole place had such a warm, welcoming feel. For the price, it’s an absolute gem. Chris and Sue, the hosts, were genuinely lovely – so friendly and helpful, it felt like staying with old friends. Breakfast was a real highlight each morning – Sue’s homemade sourdough bread was out of this world, and Chris’s perfectly poached eggs set me up for the day. You can really tell they care about every little detail. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

When I arrived it was nearing dinnertime and a local Indian Restaurant was recommended to me. So with a lovely walk down to the river I had a lovely curry. Also, breakfast was quite special. The choice was quite extensive and I chose smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. Yummy. The room was a family room and so was nice and big. Lovely comfy bed. I meant to ask what company made the mattress, but forgot.
The en-suite was tiny for a family room, but there's not anything can be done for that.

Lovely area, easily accessible from public transport and lovely location. Breakfast was outstanding and catered for gluten free too. Lovely people who run it. I was there because I was performing at a festival and the festival want me back next year so looks like I’ll be going again! Facilities were fab and would stay again.
Nothing - Only tiny criticism is that if you’re there more than one night and you don’t order breakfast the day before, you just get the same as the previous day, but that’s understandable. But could imagine it might annoy some people who may be fussy/indecisive.

The host was incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The vegan breakfast they prepared was delicious, and I appreciated the thoughtfulness in catering to dietary needs. The room was cosy and pleasant, and although I had some initial concerns about the shared bathroom, it was kept impeccably clean, which was a relief. After checking out, the host kindly allowed me to store my luggage for a couple of hours, which made my day much easier. I had a wonderful stay overall, and I would gladly return when I next visit Tiverton.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Great location near the centre and easily walkable to restaurants, sights etc Tasty breakfast Good to have the car park nearby at minimal extra cost, as parking is tight on the road Very good value for money
We were on the top floor, with some low ceilings; ok for us, but not great if you have mobility issues or are very tall Breakfast timing a bit rigid at weekends (8 or 9, as they have to do it in shifts) Being on a one way street is a bit of a pain, as it's a long way round (not the B&B's fault, of course)

The breakfast was great, over the four days I sampled eggs benedict, smoked salmon and full English all good quality and quantity. Having a fridge in the room was brilliant it meant I could have fresh milk instead of the horrible UHT milk. Nice room and comfy bed, plenty of space. Helpful friendly owners.
If I'm being really picky maybe a label on the shower power cord! It took a few minutes to figure it out maybe others are quicker, I can't really think of anything negative.

Staff was very good, helpful, good communication friendly good at explaining and make call to confirmation not just only online no notice upstairs people at night peaceful. Breakfast was very good. Break was more than enough. I could not eat all. the most important . I was asked if I had my dinner, and it felt like a family. Thank you so much
The mattress needs to be replaced. I could feel the spring and kettle. I didn't like it. The kettle was not cleaned as I expected it, but it was not bad for the price. I was too tired to go out to get a bottle of water 💧 sorry bit .... 😅

Location is excellent right in centre of the town in a picturesque old street leading to the main church and castle. it's a converted Georgian townhouse with all the character that goes with it. Chris is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good. It sets you up very well for the day. Room 2 was a reasonable size. I didn't get an en suite but the toilet and shower were literally next door. The cost at £43 per night (I stayed for two) is absolutely exceptional. I've stayed in hotels where they charge that much for breakfast alone! I really recommend the Angel.
Having the shared bathroom next door has a disadvantage - if you're having a lie-in, you can hear the person in the other room showering. The electric shower makes a fairly loud whirring noise. The car park is handy, but parking is a bit tight. But these are very minor niggles. I would certainly stay again.

The breakfast was amazing! Great choice and super service. The sausages are very good, but the marmalade is amazing! 🤭 Chris and Sue made me feel very welcome, and were eager to help in any way. They were very helpful with tips and suggestions for Tiverton.
The shared bathroom on the top floor was squeezy, but I'm a bigger bloke. It all worked fine, considering the building is 300 years old!
